  1. Well I don't know how to look at this... On the one hand he needed to go but on the other I don't want some Barney Frank or Tim Geithner running General Motors... The timing of his resignation announcement after President Obama's remarks seems to suggest that General Motors has got some sort of advance look at what the Government is going to do, for all we know Obama asked him to resign, or perhaps he's getting out and selling his stock options because Barry's decision is going to lead to the death of GM
  2. We had a loaded (everything but the power sliding door) 1994 Trans Sport with the 3.8L V6... for five years and 140K miles. It needed an alternator and a transmission rebuild (towards the end), and tie rod ends, but that was about it. Pretty solid, and we regretted trading it in.
  3. I don't know why people like it... it's real scary stuff.
  4. We had every light in the house on.
  5. Aura Outlook Torrent H2 G3
  6. GM introduced the 5/100 Warranty in 2007. Model Year 2006 and lower cars only have the standard 3/36.
  7. Intermediate Steering Shaft. Happened on our Maxx, the earlier couple of years of the Electric Steering System had kinks that were mostly worked out by 2007/8.
  8. Dumb. A lot of people would go for this car in North America. It's not my cup of tea (the HHR is though), mainly I'm not a fan of the interior styling, but people who gave up their Minivans for fuel economy, like my Father, would probably buy this car very quickly. We know that Ford is bringing the Euro C-Max over, I don't think GM can afford to be behind the 8-Ball on this. Maybe if times get better we'll see it but I think that just canning things like that mini-Diesel and this are not the way to succeed. GM needs to learn that you can't cut product and innovation from divisions that will survive anyway (Chev, GMC, Cadillac) and have those cuts lead to being competitive.
  9. Um... Yeah. Why they don't sell this here instead of the DTS I don't understand- it would cut costs and its got some luxury goods you can't get on the DTS.
  10. I like how retro it sounds, also the Thunder Gray Chromaflair colour on the DTS is really nice.
  11. Impala- 17 Inch Factory Alloys Cobalt- 16 Inch Factory Alloys, Leather Wheel, New USB Stereo, Factory Sedan Spoiler, Chrome Appearance Package.
  12. I just love the nautical theme of the logo... I saw one much like this years ago at a car show in Calgary and the ship's wheel especially stuck with me.
  13. Working and school... so only about 10k-15k this year.
  14. Three Words: Buick LaCrosse Super /jk
  15. Better quality interior parts in the Buick over the Impala but I know they are equal in engine department and transmission department.
  16. In the interim... http://gabbly.com/http://cheersandgears.com This could be a stopgap.
  17. Good for the LaCrosse (I may yet own one of these). 3800 FTW! Nice to see the DTS, Lucerne, Town Car etc all favoring highly with JD Power as well.
  18. LOL me too. I've been in that specific B17 (Sentimental Journey) here at Calgary Airport- a Museum in Mesa, AZ owns the plane and flies it around North America from time to time on tour.
  19. Whatever Mr. Goodwrench puts in...
  20. I bought this book 2 weeks ago and have been methodically reading through it. I'm glad that he was fair.
