  1. Time for a backed Chapter 11 Filing and the hope that they can pare themselves down to something viable... if not I guess I'll have to get used to the idea of buying Fords...
  2. We got 28 US MPG Hwy from Calgary to Edmonton at 110KPH.
  3. I hate to say it as primarily a GM guy but you should check out *cough* Ford *cough*. A Fusion SEL 3.0 V6 (FWD) can be had for 23000$CDN after Delivery allowance and incentives... a Focus SES sedan for 20K $CDN. I can tell you that if I was in the market right now that deal on the Fusion would be almost too good to pass up.
  4. Jeez... makes one think of 1960s GMNA
  5. We've rented a couple... a Blue 2007 with buckets and a Chromaflair 2006 with the bench seat, I have to say I preferred the 2006 with the bench seat. To the people who say that you should just get a Lucerne CXS because it's cheaper and pretty much the same, I really disagree. We've had a 2006 White Diamond Lucerne CXS rental as well and I just think that the interior is better on the DTS on the quality side, and I also think it rides better. I wish that all models had real wood, but they've made the faux wood look better by fixing a darker, walnut burl faux wood instead of the stuff they used in 2006-2007 which was too lightly colored, even so the genuine dark walnut is a must-have option IMO. The DTS has to be my favorite current GM car, and it was a real treat on the highway, the 2006 we rented took us to Edmonton and back- it was completely flawless. The digital speed readout was a nice touch.
  6. Funny almost every time we've rented a car they've bumped us up because they've run out of cars (Be it midsize or fullsize)... Mostly we've rented DTSs, Devilles, Lucernes, Town Cars and Crown Vics, even though we reserved Grand Ams, Fusions etc. When they do fill the reservation we asked for usually end up with an Allure.
  7. Dave you should be happy, one of them has a Cavvie (1998)
  8. go for a previous gen GC :AH-HA_wink:

Not surprising either, that was a staff parking lot at the University of Calgary... one of the lots reserved for the College Professors more specifically, that fella is my hero. There was only one other american car in the lot that day and it was a 2007 Buick Allure CX...
  10. Hopefully we see you again... pop me a PM whenever you wish.
  11. I wouldn't be concerned about the reliability of the 3500VVT, the current gen Impala has become the darling of the Calgary Taxi Fleet, as it replaces older Crown Vics...
  12. Flippin' Heck! I leave the thread and ten hours later a Meme has been born.
  13. To be fair we had one of those vans and it was good to us... 14. Better the French than the Chinese. I don't think the Chinese would manage to get away with doing that.
  15. Why Dave, it came from Chrysler itself, in its presentation to CONGRESS. ...
  16. Gran Torino was awesome but I would also say Frost/Nixon was pretty good (assuming you're into that type of movie)
  17. This has been floating around as a possibility and I have to say I wouldn't mind a C6 on American shores.
  18. I'd rather see Chev/Chev Trucks Cadillac Buick/Opel
  19. Charger is not bad, everything else looks like a$$.
  20. I'd still take an Impala over a Malibu/Aura any day of the week. I'm lukewarm on the G8 but I haven't driven one yet.
  21. I'd be wary of the L-Series if I were you. Sorry to hear this but keep thinking positive thoughts.
  22. I will pretend I didn't hear that... 1. New York 2. London 3. Paris 4. Brasilia 5. Moscow
  23. Coles Notes: OnStar refuses Calgary Police request to track missing vehicle of murder victim because the police call it "missing" instead of "stolen" and don't quote a stolen vehicle file number. By the time that OnStar tracks the truck the system has been tampered with.
  24. Wow, the F150 held up real well
