  1. This is a thread after my own heart. Pickup trucks should come with the option of a stickshift. And floor shift 4WD.
  2. A 2017 Escape SE 4WD isn't too much money, around $28k MSRP and you can get discounts off of that.
  3. Merry Xmas Stewart!
  4. Oy, not cool. Take as much time as you can figuring out what you want to move on to. I kept my rebound car 3 munts and I bought it brand new.
  5. Seems like its on its way to a decent update. Will you be incorporating the characterful old doors that remain in the vid or will you go with der neue?
  6. The one I have spec'd above has the 1.6. The 1.0L has to be ordered in a package with plastic wheel covers and no fogs. I did hear the sound of the little 1.0 growling in a KBB video (dude is cute but ANNOYING) over onto the YouTube, and it sounds cool, but Ford saddles it with humdrum aesthetics. Has anyone heard a confirmation that the '17 model year will be shortened for the Fiesta here in America with a mid-year intro of the new design car we just saw intro'd in Paris IIRC? Will we even be getting the new design Fiesta at all, or will Ford try to switch their miniature customers to the EcoSport?
  7. I have a split personality. My dad's side of the family is more urban (especially his brother and sister and my late paternal grandparents) and my mom's side of the family is more rural. I'm a bit of both and they pull me in different directions quite often. This can manifest itself through my love of vehicles. I currently own a 2015 Chevy Colorado pickup truck that I went through the trouble of factory ordering. It has served its purpose very well since I took delivery of it on February 14th, 2015. I traded in my 2013 Volkswagen Beetle TDi for it. And again the angst is high to get into something new, and possibly a return to somewhere I've been before: in the driver's seat of a Ford Fiesta. 2017 Fiesta SE hatch manual with Appearance Package and black alloys. In Bohal Bay Mint.
  8. Well I would get the short version. I still think third row seats in this class are for bragging rights only... third row is still useless AF.
  9. Sweet rig, man! Congrats on it.
  10. I believe Chrysler has dropped their V8 AWD LX vehicles. They're all V6 now. I'm currently looking at compact hatches... Cruze, Civic, '17 Impreza. Sonics are non-existent in my area... I guess they're on slow build to help the Bolt get off the ground, not sure, but I do like the new style after seeing one at Enterprise. The updated Trax is OK, if a little stodgy in the looks department. The HR-V is, by all accounts, a slug power-wise. I really like the Renegade and wish it had a bit longer cruising range, I'm wondering how big the gas tank will be in the new Compass. Tucson base is boring, and the uplevel ones have an awful DCT. EcoSport is not out yet, and the Escape is big like the CR-V (but not as nice or roomy). The new CR-V looks fantastic in person, I love the macho look. The Alltrack is real nice too.
  11. Respectable rigs, reg!
  12. Late 80's 5.0?
  13. http://www.autotrader.com/car-video/i-took-my-porsche-911-with-243000-miles-to-the-drag-strip-259508
  14. Excuse me Chickle Wickle? I was talking about self driving cars in general.
  15. Except they were just SHUT DOWN for running a red light in San Fransisco.
  16. WHERE is the new Dodge Omni? WHERE is the new Dodge Aries? Chrysler Sebring? A dearth of small cars (and a tiny crossover for Dodge) is more concerning than a heavy duty pickup that those buyers don't want to change anyway.
  17. Uh... everybody re-does their light duty trucks more often than the heavy duties. Let me ax you all a question: how many yerrs did Ford milk that old Super Duty? And the GM trucks rode on the old chassis with new bodywork for a couple yerrs before gaining a new frame, etc. The heavy duty light truck class is not affected by near as many competitive pressures. Not concerned about Ram's decision.
  18. I think you mean in the "black". Red ink is not good for the books.
  19. Nope, my insurance company did. I didn't even stop to confront him. He didn't mean for it to happen, I am sure.
  20. Just please stop licking yourself. We do not need to know how tasty your sweat is.
  21. Something about fog lights, road debris, and flat tahrs? Stew were you here when I had the passenger door window blown out of my TDi Beetle by an ol man mowing his yard? The mower launched a small rock. I thought it was Taliban at first but then I got really mad... no one is supposed to be blowing their yard crap into the street.
  22. I can't believe how reasonably priced the Civic hatch is versus the Cruze hatch. Shoot, the Sport is less than $22k to start, and it has 22 cu ft of trunk space with the seat up... the LX has even more space, with a lower level sound system. I took off work tomorrow and I have half a notion to go drive some vehicles.
