  1. Would be a logical addition to the lineup, this Canyon Denali. With a starting price of just under $90k, they should sell pretty well.
  2. Stinks. No history. Cadillac needs to remind the world of a rich, luxury history behind the brand. Of course, before Coupe deVille, there was "Series 62" and whatnot.
  3. Another way would be to drop the ridiculous electric propulsion crap and put the 2.0t in there with a 6 speed manual as an option.
  4. It's been going on for years, exposed rear wheelwells on pickups. Ford has them optional on their trucks, too. I think Dodge still has them standard, but then Dodge is the one brand that needs them most.
  5. Yeah, this list is screwed up a lot.
  6. Thanks for posting, 2Quick!
  7. A feeling of heft is a good thing in a luxury car, it lends a feeling of lasting quality. A driver's car should feel nimble, and I think Cadillac has done a good job of bridging the gap.
  8. I was a late bloomer when it comes to manuals, too. Didn't learn until I was 9.
  9. The rear quarters are welded parts, everything else different on the "clean" version was bolt-on though, and easy to change.
  10. I was one of the few who actually liked the fastback '78-'79 A-bodies. I would still love to have a '79 Century Turbo Coupe with a GNX powertrain. Was behind a '54 Ford two-door wagon yesterday driving through downtown Lancaster, on its way to a cruise-in.
  11. Volt is the best of this type of car out there.
  12. Well, with the Aztek, all he could do is paint the cladding to match the body. Cladding was an integral part of the bodywork on the Aztek, as it was on the original Avalanche. I guess they didn't feel like retooling the Aztek bodywork like they did with the Av, although, come to think of it, it was only the quarter panels that were new... it had a pickup front end and Suburban doors.
  13. Yup, and if we can believe the spy shots, Malibu is next to fall in line... sigh... long, low roof six window fastback sedans. I blame the Audi A7, it started the trend. Benz CLS was before the A7, but it was just a melted E-class... the A7 is the template for all that followed, imo.
  14. Was that wheel spin on that truck trying to get up the ramp? Yes, that was actually a little demonstration of the G80 locking differential at work on the Z71. Those ramps are smooth as a baby's ass. The driver was being ginger about loading the truck, and he caught it at an angle where it lost traction temporarily. You can see him put it in neutral, drift back, and then the locker kicked in, allowing the truck to walk up the slick ramps with nary an issue. Well played!
  15. I'm officially excited to see these with my own eyeballs! I hope to be able to purchase one.
  16. I personally love the ATS coupe, with its classic proportions and non-trendy look. The CTS coupe was just too severe and wedgy, with like zero visibility out the rear. I just built an Adriatic Blue V6 Performance with the red interior and the forged wheels, all weather mats and trunk mat. $52k. Dark blue with red interior seems like an old-school Naval color scheme. Very nice.
  17. Apparently, dealers have ordered a combined total of 42k of these trucks so far, many times GM's forecast. A third shift at the plant is scheduled to begin after the first of the year to keep up with the unexpected demand.
  18. Please post some photos and impressions of the GM midsize pickup trucks when you get a free moment.
  19. Yes but once the rebates kick in on the midsizers... wooooo hooo!
  20. 2015 Silverado 1500 Build&Price has been active this week at Chevy's site. The LT looks so much better with just the body color mirror caps and door handles, it's amazing how those seemingly minor details make a nice difference. And MSRPs have risen by a noticeable amount on the '15 fullsize half tons, once again.
  21. Hyundai has no luxury car history and should be treated as a red headed stepchild in the hierarchy.
