  1. I used to do that on the 93 Tracer I had... I'd punch the gas moderately, then at the end of the rev, ease up and the shift would go very smoothly, versus the drink-spilling shift it used to cause before.
  2. We'll have to see. Although, I'm really liking the Aura, and the Aura comes with some features I'd find in a premium car, unlike Buick... not to mention, more standard and available power.
  3. Wasn't there a spoiler offered on the last gen Regal? That's obviously not a GM picture, but I'm fairly certain I remember it being an option as an add-on under "accessories".
  4. With me, my driving works like this: If I have the extra hp, great... I tend to accellerate very light (unless merging onto a parkway and I need the extra power). I drive very conservative, although once in a blue moon, I like to hit the gas hard and drive hard. Obviously with my current car, I can't really do that. But if I had the power in a car, it'd be nice to know--I'd definitely use it once in a while. If it wasn't there, I'm sure I'd miss it on those occassions when I want to rev an engine, hear a growl, and feel the throwback.
  5. That is beautitful!
  6. My guess is because they want to keep the 3.6L readily available for all of the Enclave sales they'll be getting, as well as to further differentiate it from the Rendezvous (which in my opinion, there's no comparison).
  7. I forget, we all need 50 million positions over a few inches of range because we all differ several miles in height when sitting in a car. Sorry, the complaint is bogus at best.As for telescoping, I think that it's just moronic. If it's offered on the base trim of the cheaper LaCrosse, someone tell me why it isn't in the Lucerne? And Fly, I agree with you, I hate the rake beneath the Malibu steering wheel... it's awkward to reach in my opinion. I prefer my little lever on the left of the steering wheel.
  8. Well, we won't be feeling these shifts anymore, now will we? The 07 Altima is fitted with a CVT.
  9. My sentiments exactly. I still can't believe critics pick on a tilt steering wheel that only tilts 4-5 positions... I mean, how many positions do you need it to tilt over a small range?
  10. Interesting.... I've always wondered why they appeared on the bottom.
  11. Not this again... "Father"
  12. Anxious to see the Midnight Amethyst Metallic color... not sure dark purple will work on the LaCrosse.
  13. Alright, so new fabric on the CX? It's cool you can get heated seats. Kinda wish they changed the radios out like they did on many other GM models, but I guess we'll see that when they update the whole car in 2008 (which unfortunately should have been for 2007).
  14. Darn... I wanna see pictures!
  15. God, this is freaking beautiful--and that interior?! Oh wow... although I'm not a huge fan of the seatbelt extender arms coming out of the B pillar. That just freaks me out a little.
  16. lol, when you wrote "el-cheapo", I was reminded of when Bob Barker on the Price Is Right would play that car game, and accuse the game of doing, "el-cheapo" (usually a move where the two pieces of the car were next to each other)
  17. Lincoln Mark VIII Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Oldsmobile Cutlass
  18. Lost
  19. Not that I'm banking they'll figure it out with the 'Nox, but let's wait and see what it looks like
  20. Well, "warm sycamore" trim will be standard on all trims but the base. And the new radio is the new GM radio found in the Lucerne/Sky/etc.
  21. Yup... NOT A DAMN thing changed on the DTS... the ONLY addition was like a color combo.. cocoa w/ shale accents or cocoa with cashmere accents. 4-Speed remains there as well.
  22. I'm afraid to check the Cadillac out and find out if the DTS still has the 4 for 2007
  23. No no, Fly is right... as the son of a dad who owned a 1984 Plymouth Reliant (same damn car), it was commonly referred to by myself as "$h! brown".
  24. Oh, by the way, got that from: http://eogld.ecomm.gm.com/NASApp/domestic/...=1&divisionID=4
  25. So, not many changes are in store for the LaCrosse and Lucerne. Both get tire-pressure monitoring standard. The LaCrosse gets new available wheels on the CXL, and a new standard 12-spoke wheel on the CXS. A few color changes are in store for both--most likely just name changes for the current colors. Touch screen Nav will be available for the Lucerne, as well as a cargo net. Both retain the 3800 as a base.
