  1. Supercars in general are just so violently ugly today..all the disgusting bare carbon fiber, loud colors, and unreliable, fire prone... they look like they were styled by 14 yr olds. I like more down to earth 'near supercars' like the timeless 911. The latest Corvette iteration does nothing for me styling-wise, though I think it's an excellent car to drive from what I've read.
  2. From what I've read, the 2018 project is for a small scale (2-3 mile) version for a subdivision under construction (that has been delayed several times).
  3. I couldn't make it to work in the morning w/o coffee...usually up before 5:30, have a cup or two at home, occasionally going through Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts/McDonalds/Einstein Bagels for breakfast and coffee...then usually 2-3 more large cups (travel mug size) at work before I cut it off around 10 am.. I couldn't image life without coffee. Sometimes I'll have a cup of tea, I especially like Chai. I've tried to cut out soda completely, but some afternoons around 3 when my energy is fading I'll have a Coke.
  4. My gig the last 6 months has been pretty predictable so my commute is only about 20 min (morning) and 45 min (afternoon) to and from Scottsdale, only about 15 miles each way. Besides work just some the usual driving around town shopping, etc. But I will be probably next month be starting to do a company trip one week every month or two to other company locations, alternating between Jamaica and Barbados. Probably won't be driving in those locations.
  5. Saw a couple clean classic Cadillacs today--a red '69 de Ville convertible, top down, white interior and a white '67 Fleetwood Sixty Special.
  6. At my last company, we used Wordpress...I blogged about once a month for over 2 years (about software development). I want to get back into it sooner or later, on a variety of topics...I did a little bit with Posterious, but it's gone now..
  7. Didn't see one, so I'm starting one.. Saw one of the new '15 Ford F150s on the road or the first time today...silver crew cab, temporary plate...looks like someone really broke in their new truck--was splattered w/ mud and had lots of dents in the aluminum body panels.. also saw a derelict 70s Chevy LUV in a restaurant parking lot--had been red I think at one time, paint was faded to flat orangish..not one panel was straight, nose was crunched in, doors dented, bed sides mashed down..but still in use. Was a 2 round headlight version, I remember seeing them w/ 4 round lights..
  8. Dreadful new grille and badging...so over the top. Looks like the have abandoned the Ram's head logo also.
  9. So they want to be a Japanese Audi..
  10. Definitely looks bold and futuristic...seems alternative power cars do have to look futuristic, not necessarily pretty...
  11. I don't know what they are thinking w/ these huge grilles..the current one is bad enough..tasteless. At least in 2 plate states, the license plate improves the looks, but here it's all exposed..
  12. I assume this would be on the same platform as the new large Cadillac?
  13. I guess they are trying to be bold and make it stand out. Making it generic like a Corolla wouldn't work, buyers of unconventional tech cars want them to stand out and say 'look at me'...
  14. The only -Type that made sense had already been used... (X-Type). And they couldn't call it the XX, I guess...
  15. ugh...48%. Some weird ones about colors, gas caps, horsepower and the pattern got me..not enough coffee yet this morning
  16. I can get why it lasted 38 years on minimal maintenance--such a simple beast that there is very little to go wrong.. But I can't imagine driving something so old and worn out and bare-bones day after day, year after year...
  17. Lol! from what I've read, a brown manual diesel wagon is the holy grail for auto journos....
  18. A brown ATS wagon w/ AWD, diesel and manual would be great..
  19. As an aside, I've had mixed results with Amazon products and services...I love Prime, I've had good experiences building applications using AWS (RDS, EC2, ELB, etc)..my original Kindle was great as a book reader. My Kindle Fire is great as a book and magazine reader, so-so an a general purpose tablet... I love the Kindle Fire Stick TV dongle, so far much better than the flaky Chromecast was.
  20. Not available in the Amazon store for Kindle Fire. Probably can side load, though. Can you try another browser? I used Dolphin for a while on my Galaxy Tab 2, but I've gone over to Chrome now. I just encountered too many hiccups with Dolphin. I'll give it a try on Silk, but that browser is crashy. Try Chrome. It's what I use, so I know it works on stock Android.

  22. White walls and white letter tires have been out of style for years, except for use on older cars...
  23. Surface Pro rocks over the Ipad. Surface Pro rocks over the Ipad. Never going back to Microsoft products...
