What Are You Listening To?
'The Rising' from 'The Rising' by Bruce Springsteen. Damn, how I love the Boss....wish I was in NJ instead of dull-ass #phx

Some Photos from Today
Great photos. I still really like the LHs...much prefer their styling over the LXes.

'Waiting on a Sunny Day' off the 'Rising', a brilliant album by America's greatest songwriter, Bruce Springsteen.

What Are You Listening To?
Murder Incorporated by Bruce Springsteen. Knocking off a bottle of Pinot Noir tonight listening to the Boss cranked through 2000 watts of surround sound, scaring the dogs...

2011 Regal: A Buick bred on the Autobahn
The rear is my favorite aspect of the car, though I'd rather see chrome framing on the taillights..they look kind of cheap w/o it, IMHO. I'd like the see the Insignia's hatchback body and wagon here as alternate bodystyles also, and a diesel w/ manual, of course.

2011 Regal: A Buick bred on the Autobahn
I studied the photos and really couldn't see the difference. Must be very subtle. One difference I see is the Chinese version has chrome in the lower grilles inboard of the driving lights.

The Latest and Greatest.
Some really nice backdrops of the fall foliage in those pics. Colorful. The black rims look good w/ the bright red.

It's just a pontiac. Not really a loss.
I just have the little factory bottle jack, but it works fine on Jeep. I place it under the front or rear axle. Nice thing about having solid axles front and rear.

Busy Days are Busy
Had the day off because of the holiday. Didn't do much. Slept in until 6 am instead of getting up at 5:30. Brewed some Peet's Coffee and had a bagel. Usual dull home stuff--laundry, trip to the grocery. Went to Borders to browse books and picked up a couple British car mags. Had lunch at the Paradise Bakery next door to Borders..tasty soup and 1/2 sandwich deal. Surfed the web, reading a lot of F1 speculation and browsing various car sites. Took an afternoon nap. Fed the dogs. Ran the old Mercedes through the car wash. Was overcast but still got into the '80s. Not an exciting or busy day, but a nice break from the usual 1/2hr commute to work, 8 hrs in cube w/ hr for lunch, 1/2hr commute home routine. Back to the cube today.

2011 Regal: A Buick bred on the Autobahn
Hmmm....looking at the pics on the Chinese Buick website and the Autoblog pics of the US spec model, I don't discern any visual differences between the two (other than maybe that the Buick tri shield badge has color on the Chinese version and the trim/light on the front fender in front of the door is different).

take some time
I've thought a lot about my late father today and the last couple of weeks (Oct 28th would have been his 88th birthday), US Army 1939-1946.

November Car Spotters
I've seen at a show...apparently, they are sold in the US as a kit. Saw the sweet black '69 Electra conv. from a couple blocks over drive by..hadn't seen it in months. 2011 Regal: A Buick bred on the Autobahn
Article on Autoblog today says it will be 4cyl only..surprising considering isn't it Malibu sized and priced above the Malibu?

Or since this is a sportier Buick, speed holes!

November Car Spotters
Had the day off because of the holiday--strange to have a day off in the middle of the week, so quiet in my neighborhood. Had a good nap earlier. Went to Borders, and on the way there, saw a gorgeous white '65 Cadillac Calais 2dr ht, no vinyl top. Massive.

GM to put electric Cadillac Converj into production
Lexus is trying this with the HS. This is a new genre, green luxury...attracts a different demographic that want eco cred with luxury. Not traditionally defined performance.
