  1. Seems like it would be awfully hard to drive w/o reverse.
  2. taxation
  3. Sweet... I'd love to see one in 1:24th or 1:25th scale.
  4. Tatraplan
  5. Tetris

Worse than AZ, IMHO. I generally dislike the South and SW (except for SE Florida and the Keys).

    Yes, like Arizona.
  8. Saw a Terrain for the first time yesterday. Looks better in person than in the pics, though the grille seems overwrought. I wonder how it would look in states that require a front plate.

Well, no Rockies in the series, but I got to support the Phillies..anyone that's against the Yankees..
  10. Haven't seen too many Avalanches w/ caps. I've seen at work a white Ridgeline w/ a tight fitting matching cap and gold trim..at a quick glance, I thought it was an SUV until I realized what it was...
  11. Is that one of those funky ones with a V engine stuck on the nose?
  12. Yeah, in 9 years of ownership I've driven it a lot, but never done much myself on it...washed and waxed it a few times, but usually just go through the automated wash. Other than swapping flat tires, changing bulbs and wiper blades, it's gone to the shop for any regular maintenance. I'm a software guy, hardware has normally been out of my depth.. Rob
  13. Ya, wagons of any sort aren't too common these days.. Saw what looked like an Aspen or Volare wagon on the side of the freeway last night...
  14. I'm sure some people that kinda know Novas are thinking, 'did Chevy make a 2dr Nova wagon'? And others are thinking, 'oh, that's one of those rare 2dr Nova wagons'..
  15. Saw an oldie of a GM truck--an early '60s Corvair rampside pickup, missing the ramp on the right side. White.
  16. That's what it was...normal rear wheels, but the wider, squarish taillight..didn't recognize it at the time for what it was.
  17. Yeah, can't recall when I've had a car with those (besides my '69 Mustang).
  18. I wouldn't mind having another older car to tinker with, not a money pit, but something nice...but I'll usually always prioritize my disposable money for vacations before another car. I don't have enough garage space either. A few years from now, though, once I have a bigger house w/ more garage space far, far away from AZ, then maybe I'll have time for another 1:1 toy..
  19. I'll study them and look at the shop manual DVD. I've been proping the hood open lately w/ a snow brush to check fluids. I miss having an old style prop rod, those never broke.
  20. Think I'm going to go for some sushi tonight.
  21. That Firebird looks pretty rough also.
  22. Not sure what Pelosi has to do with the Bay Bridge.
  23. Interesting, but where was the Lexus IS-F? The Merc AMGs (C63 or E63s)?
  24. I emailed a couple fiends out there, one lives in Concord and the other in Walnut Creek, and commute to SF. They are taking the BART instead of driving this week. One couple I know there have lived there for over 10 years, never commuted by BART, only by Suburban/Escalade previously.
  25. Next challenge: replace the hood struts. A few years ago, I had them replaced at my then-regular shop. But I figure I can do it myself now. Picked up a pair of new ones for about $25/w shipping on eBay. The seat has held up well the last 2 1/2 months, no problems. This DIY approach is kind of fun.
