I'll admit to being a slacker w/ housekeeping...which is why I have a yard service, pool service, and maid service (did when I was living in my condo also). Libraries and books have long fascinated me, so a librarian--in a university research library --would be an interesting alternative reality career path for me. Don't laugh, another one that is appealing to me would be to be a dog groomer.

Yes, a Buick 'Jetta' could do quite well, with Buick styling cues. The Jetta is a nice little package..drove a rental one last year, was pretty loaded. Quite comfortable inside, drove smoothly.

I was going to go to happy hour yesterday afternoon at a popular Mexican place near work, but it was packed..too crowded, didn't want to wait, so I went down the road to an excellent Cuban place instead. Had some tapas-- empanadas, fried plantains, a mojito, some flan, and a Cuban expresso. Tasty.

S5 is more like $60k, IIRC. Much nicer inside than the Solstice. Beautiful car also. Different market than the Solstice, though. I suppose the TT is the closest model Audi has to the Solstice.

I'd love to have a 50mpg hybrid G8 that could do 0-60 in 5 sec.

I have no idea yet specifically where I am staying/visiting..just thought Seattle and therebouts would be fun for my birthday, to get away from the Phoenix oven for a few days at the end of June. Thinking about staying in the city somewhere and driving out to the coast, Olympic Peninsula, etc. Been reading Fodors 2009 PNW issue.

I used to work down the street from a Ruby Tuesdays..they used to have a good buffalo chicken sandwich. I'm partial to Old Chicago's and Rock Bottom restaurants (same owners), since they are where I spent many a Friday happy hour over the last 12 years in Colorado. Did the Old Chicago's World Beer Tour also, and they used to have a great buffalo chicken sandwich.

Sure it does..a SQL SELECT query often has many joins in the WHERE clause. Cubical is down with the SQL, whether it is writing SPROCs for Oracle or DB2, free form queries against Oracle, MySQL, or CRUD logic for JEE apps (whether using JPA, EJB 2.0, JDBC, Hibernate, etc).

Heh-heh...now what kind of join would be best here--- an inner join, an outer join, a left outer join?

You missed the point completely, as usual. I don't think Hyundai was building a 'musclecar'...it's an affordable compact sports coupe. Different market niche. Toyota and Nissan used to build cars like this before they abandoned the market. Think RWD Celica, 240SX (Silvia)..there were also some good ones that were FWD (Honda Prelude, Acura Integra, Acura RSX, later Celicas). This is a car for that market, that doesn't seem to exist anymore in NA. The only reason it's getting compared to the Camaro (or other V6 ponycars) is the price point, engine, and that it's a 2dr coupe. The Camaro/Mustang/Challenger are in a different category all together but this is where they overlap.

Well, just like the Genesis sedan (not the styling, but the platform and content) represents what would have made a great Buick, the Genesis coupe (not styling, but the sportiness, RWD, low price, etc) would definitely have made a great Pontiac. It's not just another FWD generic like GM loves to build, it's actually something worthwhile. Sadly, not going to happen..GM is retreating to being 'Generic Motors', just with fewer lookalike FWD models than before. Something like the Genesis coupe represents what the next G6 should have been.

No surprise...the Accord has been in the top 10 in car sales for what, 15-20 years now? It's been a popular car for a long time....

The handling is close enough for real world use, I probably wouldn't be doing track days... I don't think the Cayman has a sunroof available. I want the top down experience for a sports car. a Boxster on a windy mountain road on a early summer day or fall day with the aspens golden, top down, sunshine, life is good...

The Cayman is an impressive car. For a Porsche, I'd go for a Boxster S...a used one is on my list for next fun car--just because in a sports car, I want a ragtop.

Well, NA-market Zeta sedans are now defunct with Pontiac's demise (unless a Chevy version of the G8 appears in the future). The W-body lives on. I certainly wouldn't cross shop FWD vs. RWD models, but some may.
