  1. Pennies on the dollar in this market, esp. in Detroit.
  2. Well, Pontiac has 5 models now..if those are all gone by MY 11, Buick is going to have to add a bunch so B-G dealers can continue to compete w/ Chevy dealers
  3. Very cool..my Jeep just hit the halfway mark to that number today, 98000 miles on the 10 freeway heading home..
  4. Mista Chuck can create his own black holes w/ a roundhouse kick. He can do warp speed just by thinking about it. Speaking of Chuck, there is some old Vietnam war movie on TV now w/ him, on one of the Spanish channels.. he's got a bandana, a mullet, and a machine gun...they just sunk his inflatable raft, and were standing around laughing....he popped up out of the water w/ the machine gun (waterproof?) and began firing..
  5. They probably have sewing machines.
  6. While in the queue for Star Trek Saturday, some one coming out of the previous showing yelled 'Vader is Luke's father' as in giving away a spoiler from the movie. Great non sequitur. Saw it on the largest screen in the state, a 70 x 34 ft one, w/ 600+ seats, was sold out. Was a lot of fun.
  7. I saw an early regular one in traffic the other day..it had been silver, but maybe 25 years of AZ sun had faded the plastic body to a grayish white in places..
  8. Speaking of Fieros, when I was back in Denver a couple weekends ago, I stayed w/ my buddy Steve and his wife..he has the NSX. His next door neighbor has two teenage sons, and the 3 of them have an ever-changing assortment of Fieros 2-3 at a time, and a mid '70s El Camino and a '77-79 Ranchero...over the last 6 years, I've seen probably a 1/2 dozen different mid 70s El Caminos and Rancheros there, plus motorcycles, and one offs like a '60s Chevy van, a '64 Thunderbird convertible, a '70 Galaxie coupe, and various other random cars. The most recent one off I saw was one of the last RWD 2dr LeSabres, from around '84-85, white w/ Buick mags. He has a 3 car garage and usually 3 cars in the driveway and 2-3 parked on the street. When I was back there a couple weeks ago, I watched his sons load an '87-88 Fiero GT onto a flatbed and take it away..
  9. Hmmm..interesting thought. He could make a good villain. I wonder what the premise of the 2nd (12th) movie will be...since they dealt w/ Romulans and Vulcans in the current movie, maybe Klingons? Tribbles? The Horta?
  10. Definitely...sometimes I fly in and out of Columbus..it's about 25 miles further for me than PGH.
  11. I'll let you know, probably just be in and out of the airport...going to visit my Mom 75 miles west of the Burgh.
  12. geeks
  13. Might have been there since new. The Middle East has long been a major market outside NA for large American cars... there were tons of B-bodies in Riyadh and Kuwait City when I was there briefly as a kid in '79.
  14. granolas
  15. Isn't GM working on a rickshaw sorta thingy with Segway?
  16. Will do.. going to get my '87 and '69 Mustangs out and drive them some over the holiday weekend also..will try and take some pics of them also.
  17. I'm hoping it will be a Town Car.. Picking it up in Pittsburgh on the 22nd.
  18. Yes, as is Michigan..I read an article the other day on the 'brain drain' Michigan has been suffering from for a long time...
  19. Yeah, I think Nissan should market the Cube to office workers--'You work in a cube, now you can drive one!'. Yeah...the old money pits... I think the oil pan gasket is shot. Leaking coolant also now. This one only has 115k, the 500SEL has 178k and no problems currently.
  20. I recently reserved a car (Lincoln Town Car or DTS) through Hertz for Memorial Day weekend, and the rates by booking through the USAirways site vs. directly via the Hertz website were about $130 less for ~3 1/2 days..and I wasn't using a coupon.
  21. Very cool.. I love those late '70s-80s B-bodies also..great potential to build 'sleeper' cars.
  22. Nah, I work in a cube...Cube Life 4Ever Still have the Jeep..doggies are fine. I buy kitty litter for my sister's '91 Merc 300CE--if I start the car and let it run 15 min or so, it whizzes out a quart of oil on the garage floor.
  23. I buy kitty litter from the grocery, yet don't have a cat.
  24. How about this one: http://www.themel-costore.com/servlet/Deta...DRYERS&no=2
