Vehicle: Volkswagen Beetle TDi (2013)

Eh, you take a bet either way. Going diesel is still better financially. Per gallon the cost difference may seem huge, but per mile the difference will be minimal. -
That's like saying "oh good! He won't need to cover his badly infected eye with an eye patch!"

You don't think he'd clash with Ghosen at Nissan? He's almost certainly not going to GM. Lot's of bets seem on Chrysler. -
Well these changes are done, so I kept them separate.

I was cool with it till I saw the front end!

Should Cadillac consider a Black-Series-like V-Series variant?

you mean something like this? Cadillac Launches CTS-V Black Diamond Edition -
yeah, just stick with the OEMs or equivalent if they aren't too hard to get to. I tried the iridium tipped ones in my Toronado and noticed no change except for a lighter wallet. I can pull and replace all 8 plugs in about 30 minutes... so this last time, I just put in standard copper tip plugs.

They make fuel cells to mount higher in Jeeps for the exact same reason... if you're going to trash your Jeep by landing on some rocks, does it really matter if you hit a gas tank and bend the frame or hit a battery pack and bend the frame?
-
They wouldn't be mounted the same way in a Jeep... and a Jeep isn't going to be rock climbing at 65 mph
-
Still sounds like it could be a fun project.
-
Did you actually take it home yet?

After the original Athlon64s I pretty much gave up on AMD. I'd be willing to try them again if they gave me a compelling reason to, but cost alone isn't a big enough selling point. Until AMD can build a processor and chipset that is equal or better than the 4th Gen Intel chips, they'll remain a market obscurity. If they could build a laptop chipset that performed like Haswell in speed and power consumption, that also ran an integrated graphics card better than the Intel HD line, I'd sit up and pay attention.

I want to run another cig lighter to be just under my split bench seat in the Toronado... then I can run a USB charger down there for my phone and tablet (which I use as a NAV)

I think making a torque monster Jeep EV rock crawler would be fun.

And here I was hoping GM would find a buyer for the excess Northstars they have laying around.

Find the part locally and take a look at it to see if it matches the new part that failed or not. -

T-tops would still be neat -
The Pathfinder does the same thing. I think the theory is that if you've already got it going 25mph, you don't need 4wd locked anymore.

I think I like the new Pathfinder better.
