Toyota to offer up to $3500 rebate on Tundra

Recommended Posts

Even more striking in the article was the fact that in May, Chrysler had the highest incentive of more than $6,000 on its Dodge Ram... they are stuck trying to move these obese dinosaurs in a world of $3.50 gas..

Where's the Tundra love?

Where has all the Tundra love gone?

Why doesn't anybody love this pig?

The overbudget plant has nothing to do with this discussion.

It can't be just the bizzaro interior.

Maybe it's the fuel economy.

Sucking down $3.76 a gallon gas.

Or the cheap-s stamped metal suspension.

And don't even try to blame it on the flex-frame.

The bed jumping up and down is a design feature.

Or the timing belt when it snaps in two.

Or the 4-star safety rating when you're crashed, and burned and dying.

Or the Toyota exploding camshafts, it's just the way it is.

Where's the Tundra love?

Where has all the Tundra love gone?

This whole thing is going mto cost Toyota a fortune.

Now that I am seeing more Tundras on the rode I am beginning to appreciate how pig ugly they are.

Chris

Man...I'm glad I don't live where you live. I've only seen two on the road this far, and the last one was at least two and a half months ago.

I mean, I've seen as many H1s as 2007 Tundras around.

When you have a sub-standard product without class leading fuel economy, you will suffer. GM has the "hot" product with the GMT-900's and the Silvy and Serria are getting class leading fuel economy. The Tundra is ugly, the TV spots are silly and it is overpriced. You can't even get a V6 and 4WD! I am glad Toyota has found the world of rebates looks like they won't be paying off that new plant they went how many million over on anytime soon. This is the best news all day!

Just got back from Los Angelas where I saw my first two sightings of the "pig" and a couple of truck transports heading north on Interstate 5. It does not look any better in person to me. I guess Toyota did not thgink it would as difficult to get traction in the full size truck market. I would suppose the big three are also offering rebates as well with the price of gas remaining somewaht higher then we were use too.

I still physically point and laugh at anyone in the Tundra! It is ugly as sin to me, has a horrible interior, and it is a pig at the pump. Good luck with the rebates...at the mileage this thing gets, what does that work out to, three months of fuel?

And if I see that stupid ad with the 8800 pound towing capacity drag race again, I am going to puke! Speaking of that ad, and the millions of times that you have seen it, do you still watch it in hopes of seeing the cam shaft parts dimpling the hood when the motor blows apart? It is the only thing that keeps me from changing the channel!

Toyota Spew Max... :puke: ...Spewving Forward!

The Ram's no more obese than any other full size truck. At least it has some excuse, being the oldest truck on the market. The Tundra's not even a year old and the intensives are already more than half that of the Ram.

At the rate Toyota is going they will literally being giving them away by the time it's as old as the Ram is!
