No gays in Iran

Recommended Posts

According to Iran’s President, Mr. Ahmadinejad, homosexuality doesn’t exist in Iran – whatsoever. He’d also like more ‘substantial’ evidence that the holocaust occurred. It seems that the disappearance of millions of people isn’t enough to appease his warped perception of history.

Ahmadinejad made both claims today at Columbia University, where his comments regarding homosexuality in Iran were met with open laughter.

Glad I looked into this.

Someone explain to me why he comes over here and goes to speak at an Ivy League school when the messages he sends are clearly antagonistic. Why did he come here? Aren't we currently in some kind of a "cold war" with Iran, anyway. Why was he even let in? I was sitting there running on the elliptical last night watching Christiane Amanpour (she's a trip, isn't she?) talk about it but without sound.

Because we have free speech, and the president of Columbia, Lee Bollinger introduced him by saying "Today I feel all the weight of the modern civilized world yearning to express the revulsion at what you stand for" before allowing the pinhead to hoist himself with his own hateful rhetoric. Bollinger basically asked him hardball questions and (as opposed to 60 Minutes on Sunday) didn't leave him any wiggle room. He let him show himself for what he is.

As far as I've heard from people who've seen the video, Bollinger basically tarred and feathered the guy before he even got on the stage.

The Islamic world reminds me of Victorian England: some of the best porno in history came out of that country in that era, yet all was prim and proper on the surface.

In my day, I have [ahem] had 'relations' with more than one hottie from Iran and Iraq: I have it on first hand account that there are more than a 'couple' gay people in those countries. These Muslim coutries are so hypocritical and two-faced. In some respects, forcing women to be chattel and all the public chastity has made these countries a hot-bed for gay sex. After all, if the women are supposed to be a virgin at marriage, there are only two ways a man can have sex before marriage: anal sex with a woman or anal sex with another man. A former assistant manager of mine, who emigrated from Paskistan said that gay sex is common, just not talked about.

These countries don't realize that by supressing all forms of freedoms, they are destroying their futures because their brightest and their best are leaving. There are a lot of Iranian expatriates living in the Toronto area - more than a 100k by some accounts. Most of these people are doctors, architects and other professionals.

about the holocaust...it's not so surprising they wouldn't teach about in schools there. but w/o religion factoring in, how much do schools here teach about middle east other than "being the cradle of civilization". i learned about the usa's history probably 3 times so far in my education. so if it's anything like us, how much of European history would they normally get?

not going to say anything on topic headline topic.

I wouldnt even let that loser (agua dick a jaud or w/e) get flushed down my toilet. If the U.S. is truely the sole superpower of the world i think we should start f'ing with Iran.

I'd like to see a knife fight between him & fidel Castro, and then we could drown the winner.
