Cubical-aka-Moltar 2,241 Posted September 12, 2008 Hmm..haven't looked at the full list, but I have 2 of those 10 on my iPod.
mustang84 12 Posted September 12, 2008 Billboard, Rolling Stone, etc. lists are usually crap. No different here. Any list that includes Macarena in the top ten can't be taken seriously anyway.
FAPTurbo 1,218 Posted September 12, 2008 Nickelback's placement in #36 makes me want to puke.
Cubical-aka-Moltar 2,241 Posted September 12, 2008 Yeah...it's # of weeks on the charts. Not a measurement of quality but of popularity. Turns out I have 17 of the 100 on my iPod, mostly old Beatles songs
Satty 338 Posted September 12, 2008 Nickelback's placement in #36 makes me want to puke. f@#k Nickleback right in their unoriginal asses. Why does Canada export so much crappy music? Brian Adams is my mortal enemy (asshole knows why) and Celine Dion could be the most irritating person in the history of the world.

z28luvr01 170 Posted September 12, 2008 I could tolerate Nickelback until they came out with 'Rockstar'. What an original idea...singing about wanting to be famous Could you guys please take back Avril Lavigne, too? We'll keep James LaBrie and Shania Twain, though. I don't care for them..but there are definitely some Canadian musicians I like...Leonard Cohen. Neil Young. Robbie Robertson. Rush. Bruce Cockburn. Shania Twain. Tom Cochrane. The Tragically Hip. Daniel Lanois. etc.. Edited September 12, 2008 by moltar

Blake Noble 151 Posted September 12, 2008 (edited) Devin Townsend f@#king owns, though. I guess no one here has listened to Steve Vai's Sex & Religion album, Strapping Young Lad, or Devin Townsend Band? Or know of the Skullet, at least? Well, I guess I'll just move on then ... ZL-1 160 Posted September 12, 2008 They just forgot about such non-influential bands as Pink Floyd, U2, Metallica. Great list!
NOS2006 11 Posted September 12, 2008 Wow, that Top 10 is pretty $h!ty... so bad I'm not even going to read the rest of the list.
Enzora 0 Posted September 12, 2008 Kanye West is a horrible rapper. Pretty good musician and songwriter, but a horrible rapper. He always sounds like a karaoke singer's bad attempt at rapping to a Kanye West song. . . . Just felt I had to throw it out there, because the world needs to know. Satty 338 Posted September 12, 2008 Its based on chart performance, so blame the tools who actually buy crappy cds and want to listen to crappy songs.
Enzora 0 Posted September 12, 2008 This at least provides a very good counter-argument for people who think popular music keeps getting worse. As it turns out, popular music has always sucked, with a few notable exceptions.

I'm not much of a hip hop fan, I find KW to be annoying like P Diddy...a lot of hype, a lot of flash, no substance, IMHO. About the only hip hop I've liked over the years was some Ice Cube, NWA, Snoop Dog, Eminem, Public Enemy... I like R&B and soul much more than hip-hop.
