  1. Maybe we will get a mustang Mach transit connect too
  2. I stated the same thing! Edge-E (Edgy) The Ford Edgy. HA!
  3. If the only thing people are complaining about is the name of the vehicle, they did a good job. They created conversation and headlines all over the place and the only negative is the name.
  4. Everyone-“The Lexus predator grill is the ugliest grill ever” Genesis-“Hold my beer.”
  5. He does have a 7-year overdue Model Y to finish designing...
  6. Sorry. Had to take another photo.
  7. I love uplevel 1.3 liter 3 cylinder engines!
  8. Basically identical to GLS. 450/500 vs. 463/516. Both 0-60 between 5 & 6 secs.
  9. I am striving to overcome my skepticism of the turbo 3. I know they have a distinctive growl. Hopefully it won't be too silent. The torque number is admirable. If it has good giddy-up and fuel mileage... plus good reliability, it will be fine. When will it be lined up at a Christmas tree?
  10. Edgy..like that. When I had my diesel Escort 30+ years ago I nicknamed it 'Esky'. And I could see referring to an Encore as 'Ency' or 'Enky'..
  11. I am not getting anywhere near your blow-up doll, Bucko.
  12. Wow, the Seltos looks dumpy compared to the Trailblazer, and even though it's down on horsepower with the top level engine, the Trailblazer's 3 has very good torque numbers. Modern looks, safety, and a knockout starting MSRP work together to make a compelling compact CUV. Chevy says the Trailblazer Activ 4WD will be about $26k... that is what I paid for my Compass Latitude 4 model years ago. I am digging the Zeus Bronze... a great tie-in to the mighty C8!
  13. Seems to me that there was someone on this site who constantly remarked about the Escalade being nothing more than a “gussied up Chevy”. Seems to me that this Maybach is nothing but a “gussied up Benz”.
  14. Relatively high cladding to paint ratio on this bugger.
  15. Prius Prime.... I think more like transformers... Optimus Prime. Kia missed out on a branding strategy there.
  16. The point here is that I have yet to see you levy the same level of "copy cat" criticism at GM, that you reserve for the Koreans. There is not one reason why they have to look alike just because they are the same class of vehicle either, based on your "logic". That is just asinine. The Camaro and Mustang are the same class of vehicle but look nothing alike so try again. The Equinox and Escape are the same class of CUV but look nothing alike. That is what you seem to missing here while resort to name calling and that ridiculous yet predictable defensive attitude. All makes copy each other (at some point) but you stick to very specific brands because well, who the F knows but they are right there for everyone to see. And I'm not a fanboy of any brand genius so your deflection is just that, deflection. The Lexus reference was made because they are generally at the top of just about every reliability survey out there. Sorry the facts bother you so much that you have to resort to baseless attacks. Besides, you've made three different brand fan claims against me in the last three months (FCA, Ford, and now Toyota). Pick one and stick with it junior. You, on the other hand, are clear cut GM fanboy by every definition of the term. Deny it all you want but there are literally hundreds of pro-GM and GM defense posts by you that support this assertion. You cannot say the same thing about me and that is the big difference here. I guess since I'm on here defending the Seltos, you'll be calling me a Kia fanboy next. And the Land Rover reference was about the design which you brought up but you can't seem to keep your arguments straight so we will just leave that one alone before you blow a fanboy gasket. You can't even make the comparison to the Escape anymore but a picture is worth a thousand words and your words about it mean jack squat.
  17. They are all Makes not a Model within a larger brand like the Mustang that's the main difference. They didn't have another brand to fall back on with SUV's/CUV's like Ford or Chevy so they were forced into building SUV's because the market demanded them. Obviously, I was being facetious about the signatures. ? He just wants to make it like every other automaker is following his lead. Musk is a pretty narcissistic guy.
  18. If the overall design was more cohesive/fluid, I think it would be a lot better. As it is, the 2-tone makes it too obvious/Lego-esque.
  19. But this is a take back to the 50's so then how would you rate this auto against the ones then? I do get that most were white roofs with various body colors. I do agree with you that Chevy has lost it in the style / design department, just chaotic mess of a look.
  20. I still think Lexus wins in this contest I think BMW joined that contest
  21. Exactly my point which seems most people don't see. Porsche made an SUV but didn't call it 911. That is the whole point, not the fact that Ford made EV crossover, but the fact that it called it a Mustang.
  22. Color is good...in a world of white, black and silver CUVs some other choices are good thing.
  23. Yes, others are doing it. BUT, everyone, myself included, has been riding herd on GM for a lack of interesting colour schemes. The Trailblazer RS and Activ both show that there is still someone working at GM's Art and Colour Section.
  24. Is this like the meat section, I get a choice of prime? Is there a ‘choice’ model? Did they steal the name from Amazon?
  25. 1700 is nothing, though...would be interesting to know how many are owners of the current car..
  26. • RE the Autoline video; the Charger reference doesn't fit because there was a what - 20 year break in the Charger line? The Charger wasn't "changed"; there WAS no Charger in the general vicinity of the 4-dr Charger. • RE the Mach-E - the more I see of it the more I like it (I do prefer the non-GT nose tho).
  27. On many models in many years Daimler put a stand-up ornament AND a giant grille emblem on the same car- this looks naked somehow. And because it shares the same 'worn soap' look of the 14 CUVs below it, it also just doesn't look very expensive. I like the 2-tone colors/break, but the overall vehicle comes off as a blinged up mid-range CUV. I'd take a Navigator Black Label instead ~
  28. I like it....very scrappy look to it...if I didn't already have my equinox- I think I would seriously consider one. Love this much more than the new Escape......
  29. There is NOTHING Ubber Luxury about this CUV. Just a piss poor JC Whitney job of taking money by idiots that ignore superior products for a 3 pointed star of stupidity.
  30. Does that mean your paying!
  31. The 6 has this same Turbo-4 in it as an option on the top model. You wouldn't like it though, too firm of a ride.
  32. Yeah, they are a bit incongruous...but plenty of vehicles have upper and lower grilles that don't match. I wonder if they will do a LWB Pullman version.
  33. Im only 5 minutes into this video when I decided this video needs to be shared on this thread. Afterhours Autoline. It addresses the complaints about the naming in the first 5 minutes and I guess the reasons why Ford named it the way they did. At 5 minutes in, reasons why: Mustang is a recognizable name, folk with families could now own a "Mustang" and 4 doors sell and make money....but rest assured, the 2 door Mustang we all love aint going away, au contraire, more special editions are coming...and these products are too hot to talk about just yet...be patient about them... Ill continue listening to it now as well to find out more... Enjoy.
  34. You know you love it and secretly want one! ?
  35. Heh-heh..speaking of grilles, the G90 grille kina reminds me of the '60 Chrysler Saratoga grille.
  36. Late edit: That should read “while is NOT “Lexus” like in quality.”
  37. In fairness, the Soul is the oddball here since it doesn’t offer AWD. Doesn’t really fit the CUV category in the traditional since IMO. Having said that, too many companies now are doing this with their CUV lineup. Barely and inch or so difference is size is just silly to me.
  38. Whatever the GM fanboy has to tell himself. Land Rovers are overpriced junk and while Kia is “Lexus” like in quality, it is worlds better than the GM fanboy realizes. Hell, their initial quality has been rated higher than GM, on average, but who’s keeping count of actual facts when it’s easier for fanboys to ignore that and just make up random BS? (Looks at the new “Trailblazer” profile that it shares with the Nissan Kicks and has a similar headlight swoop as the Evoque and wonders if said fanboy will criticize it to the same level that he has the Kia. We will sidestep naming the FWD CUV “Trailblazer” in the first place) Sincerely, The non-fanboy who hasn’t had a drink in years and was never a “drinker”.
  39. The body colors look good, and yes- there's a general lack of color in the industry for some reason... but the 2-tone coupled with the design leaves me flat. I am increasingly finding Chevy's designs too jumbled & busy &... assembled. I don't like this Trailblazer.
  40. I really like this little rig but TBH it would be fun to see something like a 1.8 turbo in this thing. 1.2 and 1.3 is really just too small. This will help populate Buick showrooms again and they can either make bank on these for profit or flip right wads to the encore for volume. This GX looks so much nicer than the Envision.
  41. Do those 'purists' actually even buy new cars, though ? Or do they just wallow in nostalgia for the past...
  42. pair of very rare '58 Bonneville steel-backed/ leather bucket seats for sale in a Pontiac group, asking $4500.
  43. Thats fine if you are a multi-billionaire propping up a boutique insolvent car builder ? but major players are not going to be able to sustain that in a contraction market with an increasing number of players. We can joke about it, but at some point theres got to be a correction.
