The future of GM can be made simple and sucessful. Simply don't kill off any brand yet (save for maybe Hummer). Build the new Camaro, Traverse, G8 GXP, Solstice Targa, G8 ST, Cruze, Volt, Invicta/LaX/Regal (whatever it is called) get out the new Lucerne/DTS/STS. The road ahead should be bright and get those six speeds in the GMT-900's already. And where is my Silverado SS already? Give Pontiac a new G6 and compact along with the Cruze and you will be set.

So has anyone got any idea of the font featured on the 2010 Camaro on the body or on the Chevy website? It is a Camaro logo with squared off letters. They use it on the Camaro5 forums too. But I am not a memeber there and was wondering if any of you smart people have any knowledge of it? Or could share it with me. (Would like it for photochops.)

Really that suprises me because there was alot of design in the exterior/interior. As for the platform and powertrain there wasn't nearly as much. Lets just hope they actually market this thing RIGHT!

Get the Vibe AWD, Astra-5 or the Charger SXT.

First off I haven't been posting nearly as regular as I do most days because my family and I went on a trip to the Grand Tetons/Yellowstone and Black Hills/Custer State Park for 12 days. Long story short took the Torrent and she now has over 6.5K on here up from the 2.5K she started out with. Fuel economy was good not great averaged about 23.25 if I figured right. Not bad for 75-80mph interstate running and climbing many a moutain pass. Handling was great for a small SUV and the back roads were very fun. Could use an extra cubic foot or two in the truck area other than that my Torrent made the trip nearly perfect. Except in Cheyenne WY my A/C stopped blowing cold air. I took my Garmin NUVI 650 and entered Pontiac and found a large B-P-G Cadillac dealer Halladay Motors and they got it in 2 hours later, found out it was that it was out of A/C coolant R134A (I think that is it) and she blew cool air the rest of the trip. Now my real reason for posting... I have some photos of cars I will put up later but first what I saw. I saw lots of Camry/Prius/Seqouia/Tundra/Corolla/Highlander rental cars in Grand Teton and Yellowstone! I couldn't believe the amount of cars I saw with the bar-code or E badge on the rear bumper! Toyota must be fleeting like mad! I also saw a few and I mean a handful of Malibu LS 2008 some even 2009 with the 17 inch wheels as rentals. Almost every Impala I saw was either owned by someone or the bank. I saw a few regular consumer owned/drive Bu's too. I would say nine out of the ten 2008 Lowlanders I saw were rentals. Same went the ugly Seqouia, saw plenty of consumer owned Turds from the likes of Cali and AZ which seemed to popular, yet saw many with the bar codes as well. Prius's were all over most had a bar-code. So what did I learn Toyota has been fleeting like mad, and I was happy to see every bar-coded Toyota product on the trip. I saw many GM vehicles and most of which didn't have a bar-code what a relief. Toyota is moving foward and dumping to fleets, I just feel sorry for the people that had to rent them.

Once again will be out of town but have fun guys... Maybe next year.

You can't kill GMC, Pontiac or Buick for instance they have way to much history and a loyal fan-base. For instance I know die-hard Pontiac people and Buick folks. $h! Pontiac used to be one of the top three selling nameplates in the USA. So GM needs to get smaller and sell even less cars? I know many ex-Olds Aurora and Alero drivers that now have an Avalon, Camry, ES350 or Corolla. That just isn't right. So kill more brands and leave Toyota to pick up more sales and market share. My plan would be kill Hummer just stop it. Saturn and Saab give a few years to get sales numbers off and then give them the axe if needed. Pontiac, Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC must stay. If GM touches any of these "old and estiblished" brands then I will shoot myself. People like me sometimes don't want a common Chevy and something more sporty so that made the Torrent a no brainer. I also considered an Equinox but see way too many around. Some people want a little different truck not a default Chev, Dodge, Ford deal and a GMC with the extra bells and whistles fits the bill nicely. Some people don't want a Cadillac nor the image associated with it and like the just premium Buick division. So we must cut brands to to help our situation and then lose sales. I would be ticked if they touched GMC, but honestly would find it hard to buy anything GM if they touch Pontiac or even Buick. I plan to get another Pontiac or Chevrolet next time around sure maybe a Buick. My Caddy will come someday... Side note I knew a die-hard Olds fan... This man owned a 1972 Cutlass 442 with a 455 in a drop-top teal with a white top/interior and a Hurst 4spd. later a few boring Cutlass coupes and wagons. Then he was one of the first in my area to get an Olds Aurora in black/tan, later he purchased his second Aurora a 2001 3.5 then last fall he got a Final 500 Aurora and is looking into a Final 500 Alero someday. He also now leases a 2007 Accord EX-L I4 with an auto and a 2008 Honda Ridgeline to replace his aging 4.3L S-10. He says he might go back to GM but has been so happy with Honda that it would be hard to buy anything but. So that is the kind of stuff that happens when you kill a brand not good eh? Plus the BAD press which GM gets enough anyways. Just kill Hummer as it takes down CAFE averages which is totally stupid. Let Saab and Saturn hang around so long as they meet certain goals and make progress.

That thing will be painfully noisey compared to his B-bodies and also soooo freaking slow. Better put a turbo in it or a five speed to help it get up to highway speeds.

That logo means alot to me. Don't say this around me or any other Pontiac fan on this forum which there are many. You... I have owned lots of GM cars and the extra bit of style and performance that Pontiac offers has always suited me well. I would have gotten a GP instead of the Impala had the ride not been so rough. Where did you come from? The Pontiac arrow is a statement of performance, style and excitement. I have owned 5 Pontiac's and am proud to say it was on the hood of all of them. Newbs.

I always have wondered there are folks out there just buying a car because they like/need the car but others have a very different way of looking at it. I am one of those who have a very different way of looking at it. I will start off I drive GM because of the dealership I have that I actually like to deal with. I drive GM because I believe in supporting American compaines. I drive GM becuase I have always had for the most part good luck with there products. I drive GM because they offer a wide variety of products always haveing something that I like and fits my needs and budget. I have driven other cars but always keep coming back to GM because of what they offer, and the value I can get where as with other auto makers you can't. My father always said "Son now promise me your not going to get one of those "Jap" cars." I of course replied no dad, and guess what I have kept my promise to this day and yes he gave the best advice. So why do you drive GM?

KC did you have it painted too? One photo it looks like White Opal with gray undertrim and in the next it has all blacked out windows and White Diamond with silver undertrim?

Oh I gotcha thanks for explaining. What is the matter with an LS430 there not a bad car, but uhh the new STS is pretty sweet. Nice looking Buick tho.
