@A Horse With No Name gave me a challenge. Here it is! For July 4 Celebrations!!! Rules: 1. Pick a brand. Just 1 brand. A pure red blooded AMERICAN brand. Be it Ford or Chevrolet. Or Dodge. 10 cars any era, any concepts, anything from that brand. 2. No corporate sister brands are allowed. 3. These are your garage queen, museum grade show cars and/or Sunday drivers and/or daily drivers. 4. Have fun!

1. Titan T-51D with an LS3 V8 (I wanted a FW190 replica kit, but I could not find anybody that builds and sells to clients, only restoration companies restoring war survivor planes) This is surprisingly "affordable" at under $100 000 if optioned with a Honda Odyssey 3.5 liter V6 engine... 2. McDonnel Douglas 500E 3. Zamboni with a personal colour scheme and theme for my own personal indoor ice rink 4. Christy Hovercraft 5. Modern Monster Truck with 1500HP V8 engine Custom made to my tastes and my personal themes- 17 replies

Dream car garage.... No Cars Edition
oldshurst442 replied to A Horse With No Name's topic in The Lounge
Ive been searching and googling and all sorts of investigations for this one...for the last 24 hours or so!!! This one is tough! I wanted to do a fairly realistic list so that is why is taking a long time.... Example...I want an F-16 Falcon, but in a realistic way, I dont think the US government will ever sell me a F-16 no matter how many billions I tell them I will buy it...so in a fantasy world thread, I want to keep it realisti.. But I will come up with something. Maybe tonight... But not tomorrow nor Sunday as softball tournaments galore this week-end. Wish us luck!!!- 17 replies

Ultimate Dream Garage: Independent Day(s) Edition

So....where do those 3 1960s entries I made stand? Ill be honest, I had a hard time convincing myself to include Ford cars because I too view independents like you do...when it comes to these threads, I always find a loop hole to circumvent the rules...this Ford thing aint no different. Tough one.... Like I said...I will agree to any points of view regarding independents and I will erase the 64 Galaxie, 67 Fairlane and 65 Mustang. The 33 Ford stays as its as independent as it gets....after Lincoln but before Mercury...and FoMoCo was not as big as it is today and many other manufacturers from all over the USA were still producing cars from Wisconsin to Indiana...not only in the Michigan area. -

EDIT.... Lincoln was started by Leland...sold to Ford... Leland started Cadillac from defunct Ford cars before FoMoCo then sold it to GM... phoquing confusing if you ask me! Maybe that is why I forget sometimes the little details... But as I see things, Ford cars are independent, unless Frisky sees otherwise...and if he does, Ill redo my list and erase those Ford cars... Well, the 2 1960s entries. The 1933 Ford Hot Rod stays!!! -

But....Lincoln and Mercury were brands that FoMoCo started...unlike General Motors buying Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Cadillac (from Henry Ford), Opel and the like... Ford cars....are independent...even in 2017... -

Usually I am not so anal about jokes. Im a pretty funny guy myself in and real life outside the internet forums, or even in internet forums, Im a cartoon character. But...this joke I don't find funny at al... Why you ask? Because of these little words when one marries in a more or less Christian based religion. for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part for better, for worse for richer, for poorer in sickness and in health till death do us part till death do us part till death do us part That should be your expiration date right there!!! Sorry that I sucked the life out of that joke. And no! I am not at the very least offended. I just thought about it for a while and said to myself...wow, that joked sucked ballz!!!

Yup.... If you have noticed, Im more or less consistent with the muscle car formula (disregarding price in this instance) in my preference for cars no matter what country builds them. Big engine in medium sized car or huge engine in small car or big and huge engine in big car. BTW...Aston Martins are just sooooo beautiful to look at! PS: small little roadsters are not for me....except the ones that come from Italy. I dont drink English tea in other words! Esss-presso Cappuccino...capisce???!!!!

Alberta has tons of oil, no need to pressure ourselves with this EV stuff... On the other hand, Quebec has got plenty of electric fields waiting to be tapped...so my next ride will probably be 100% electric powered. You guessed it, Im from Montreal. Howdy Stranger!

Between those two choices...CT6 Platinum These next few cars and trucks(if any) are what I would buy from GM. V Vsport 1000 HP Trans Am Or the Exorcist....but I dont like this Hennessey fella! So I would rather give my money to Kevin Morgan. Plus, since I dont really like a Camaro, this way, its a Camaro without it looking like one and I get to save face. And yes, the 1000HP Trans Am belongs in my answer as I need to buy a Camaro from the local Chevrolet store for the conversion!!! I dont think I missed anything.- 57 replies

True about the options on the Model 3....so the price tag will surely be close to 35 000 as speculated by the Motor Trend link (I thought it was Road and Track hence why I said the link is from Road and Track bit it is not, it is from Motor Trend) Weeeeee Hooo! 9 billion American smackeroonies! With a treasure chest (pun soon to come) as big as Dolly Parton's !!! That does not stop some haters in hatin' and calling for Apple's demise....since the 1980s...(this may very well be anecdotal rather than CNN news like, but still!
-
nobody's cancelin' nothin', man. We have heard many....many times that people may gonna cancel every single time there is some sort of update on the Model 3, yet the sky is still where it is... From the Road and Track link http://www.motortrend.com/news/first-tesla-model-3-completed-friday/ We've already discussed to death the "prices will start at around $35,000 before government incentives." argument. Multiple sources do say buyers will probably opt for options raising the price tag... In other words, people EXPECT to PAY MORE! So much so that Musk was afraid this would cut into Model S sales...but it seems that Tesla sold a tad more cars than expected so there is no sky is falling scenario in this either! Again, from the link Tesla really does resemble Apple inc. Since the 1980s, many detractors call Apple's demise time and time again... The only time I fear for Tesla...is when that new Fisker EV comes to play! And Fisker did do some work on the Tesla Model S before he skedaddled out of there! Other than that....I dont fear the Reaper!

I was looking to post a specific GIF in another thread regarding good 'ole Robert DeNiro in one of his Mafia gigs when I came across this GIF...I think this GIF is appropriate here and how Ray Liotta smirks at the end just captivates this topic quite well I find!

Ultimate Dream Garage: 4 Cylinder Edition
oldshurst442 replied to Frisky Dingo's topic in The Lounge
I thought about doing an E30 M3 myself, but I wanted a newer 4 cylinder car and since I already had an older classic(if you will) in the Acura Integra and (quite honestly) I did not feel like being a hypocrite in including a car that I have soooooooo been down on for about 20 years (because the Lord knows how I have openly bashed this particular vintage Bimmer in real life and at Motor Trend Forums) so I decided to be a hypocrite on the Cadillac ATS. It has ONLY been 2-3-4 years that I bash the ATS versus 20 years for the Bimmer and quite honestly, I have only bashed it in Cheers for Gears... so....there ya go!
