After spending seven years in Phoenix, AZ I can say, for a fact, that my blankets will dry just as quick when hung outside from May to September as they will in any dryer.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM

Ford has also requested dealers in Texas lend out generator equipped F-150s to help out. Anything helps because it is a bad situation there right now and not everyone can fly to Cancun to escape it or afford a $60K plus truck to power their space heaters. -
-
Skip that. How about the crappy base four bangers they’ve used in their cars over the years? Point being it doesn’t matter the source of the engine. A bad engine is a bad engine.

“LOL what does an EV have for a "transmission"? A single-speed load of BS.“ You implied it and saying it’s “no worse” is the same thing as saying it’s better and I’ll say it again, the CVT is MUCH worse than anything residing inside an EV. CVTs are gutless $h! and you are delusional to think otherwise. Example of this? 2021 Nissan Rogue (and its “no worse” CVT) 0-60: 8.1 seconds 2020 Chevrolet Bolt (and its “single-speed load of BS”): 6.3 seconds No worse huh? Yeah, again check your meds.
-
How? You are claiming that a CVT is somehow superior to the single speed one (because electric motors don’t need multiple pseudo gears unlike an ICE) in your average EV and I gave my response. I’m thinking it may be past med check for you if you don’t understand that simple concept.
-
Yes because the two are somehow comparable. Torque for miles EV vs a gutless CVT. Real tough choice there.
-
So nice of you to come to your new loves defense. It’s sweet. Creepy but sweet.
-
You couldn’t drag me by the hair on your best day anyway. And that’s not a zinger. That’s just passive aggressive bull$h! on your account because someone called you out on the truth of the matter. Big difference so maybe you should just zing yourself next time. Not really comparable IMO since the EUV starts at a much higher price and again, lacking AWD.
-
No. You just play one on C&G.
-
Oh you are just dripping with irony and hypocrisy here. And why are you trying to drag me into your personal beef with David? My downvote was 100% legit for the reason mentioned above. Get over yourself.
-
Style only goes so far when the power train is $h!. Lipstick on a CVT controlled pig. True but AWD is still a nice and almost necessary function for most folks up north.
-
Going to have to disagree on the simple fact that the Bolt has no AWD option. A missed opportunity by GM.
-
While it looks better than the outgoing model, it still has that dog engine and CVT, just a “no” followed by a bigger “HELL NO” from me. Better choices can be had without the CVT, thats for sure. Start with the 2022 Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage (just for having an actual 8 speed auto as opposed to a junk CVT) and work your way down from there. At least Nissan had the good sense to remove the CVT from the upcoming Pathfinder.

Go crawl with each other and figure out where you went wrong. -

(Had a response but remembered what Drew said about politics and refrained from handing you your a**). You don’t know how lucky you are here. -

There are people that still ride horse and buggy’s too so that’s not really saying much. -
Then crawl your sorry ass on out then because you are just continuing to prove me right by going on and on about it while harping on others to NOT to do that same thing. And the only thing you are crawling around, at this point, is the drain. Don’t forget to flush.

You clearly didn’t realize that we are talking about TWO different things but again, keep arguing over semantics for two more pages. And last time I checked, it wasn’t a creativity competition. My supposed lack of creativity doesn’t make my statement any less true and that’s the point, which clearly flew over your head. Back to cars...
-
Speak for yourself buddy. You spent a page and a half going back and forth with USA-1 over semantics (like always) and nutting over any reasonable discussion so look in the mirror next time before trying to call someone else out. Literally what you said on the first page. That was not a response to David. You tried to call me out over something you, yourself, did on this very same thread. Again, look in the mirror next time. Classic ccap. Nutting all over his own double standards and arguing over semantics yet again.
-
Yet here you are still going back and forth. Again, refer to what you said about another and myself on the first page. Good grief.

I’m hoping my area gets spared tonight. They are calling for a quarter inch to a half inch of ice and this is barely a week after the last ice storm. We got lucky at our house and didn’t lose power then but I’m not pressing my luck on that happening twice. Have been taking necessary precautions just in case. -
