  1. No manual, ABS or discs and major changes look like it. I guess we will be seeing a new Matrix soon, too. The Corolla is due to be replaced soon and since it is the same platform I would guess we are seeing the last Vibes. They will continue, right? I like the new blue, though.
  2. The Grand Prix needs more than new colors to raise sales. Yes, it is a good car in an overall sense and I wouldn't mind owning a purple one (something about purple on cars excites me. The GTO looked awesome in it) but public perception is not favorable.
  3. Did the previous 'Nox have navigation? If not, that's a nice addition but it is a shame the interior is not upgraded in any way. Front/rear discs are a nice addition, too. Are side airbags standard?
  4. Standard 16-inch wheels...nice.
  5. AVM is a good addition even if it reduces HP a little bit. So no more 3.8 engine?
  6. The sedan is all-new, however, and is competitive. The Aveo5 is carryover for now.
  7. I loved the control-hiding doors on the Navigator. I think it looks classy and clean. The updated Nav got rid of them and I think the interior looks a lot worse.
  8. I love Blue Steel! RIP.
  9. 1SD equipment groups sounds pretty hot. Good engine upgrade, too.
  10. I am not all that familiar but are these engines new or just rehashes of current ones? The added power is a welcome addition but 15-inch wheels are kind of laughable.
  11. I am interested in seeing that color, too. I think a dark purple will work since I believe the LaCrosse looks better in dark colors. I like those aluminum 10-spoke wheels that are pictures. They are not represented in the rundown, though.
  12. DirecTV. CSpec, I've been meaning ask you this for months. What car concept are those gauges from? Hot as hell...
  13. So no total output, photos, etc? Does Nissan not have enough capacity to sell it in every state or are they really taking their time with hybrids?
  14. If you do purchase an Avalon you will not be let down. Great choice! BTW, the ignore member function is a great feature.
  15. The Camry/ES is platform sharing done right. You have to be kidding me if you compare those two to the 'Nox/Torrent problem. The ES and its standard and available features blow away the LaCrosse. The Camry even has a few features that the Buick does not even offer! Talk about delusional.
  16. Oil companies do not, for the most part, set prices for oil. The market does. Oil is a commodity, like gold and titanium, that is sold on the stock market. The market can easily raise and lower oil prices. I read an article earlier today that said many pension and mutual funds were throwing tons of money into oil this week and that is really the main reason the price rose. Remember, when a stock or commodity is hot or in demand on Wall Street, its price rises. The funny thing is, the monetary gain people receive from their pension and mutual funds due to investing in oil is going to go right to filling up their tank. Think about it: take the Iran crisis for example. People hear about it and automatically assume that if it gets out of hand oil prices will rise dramatically. So they invest in oil, hoping to buy it at $65 and sell it off at $90 at the height of the crisis in order to make a profit.
  17. I saw that note but I still maintain he answered his own questions. I thought he was right that the Aura only has a third of the budget Toyota has to advertise the new Camry. The laughable part was that he believed the Aura is an extremely competitive product and while it does have things going for it, like being way better than the Sonata and other midsizers, it is mainly competitive with last-gen cars.
  18. How close are you to being on the Olympic team?
  19. The large Toyota SUVs are older and smaller than the GMT900s, too. Pontiac should be next-to-lowest in average buyer age with Saturn taking the lowest spot.
  20. If we could put a man on the moon, we can make a cost efficient, publicly acceptable fuel. I always have thought about how oil is made. From crushed up rocks, dead animals, leaves and the like, correct? Could we not speed up that process in ovens or something? Use our landfills to make some sort of oil cousin? Brazil made a law in the 1970's, I believe, that stated all cars by XXXX will run on sugar-based ethanol. It recently stated it is no longer dealing with OPEC. By the way, Toyota has a new Highlander, RX, Sequoia, LX and Tundra in the future, a far cry from the GMT900 program.
  21. Damn, I can't get my SKY. At any rate, these are selling out because they are great products that people want to own and are priced well. They are also selling out because the capacity is so low. Still, the bigger reason is that they are great cars. It may bring it more sales for other models but I am somewhat skeptical. The Corvette, SKY and Solstice have a small but solid block of buyers/fans. Someone going to look at a Corvette is not going to say, "Oh, I can't make that monthly payment. Let me look at an Impala SS." The same thing with the Kappas, people are not going to look at/buy a small RWD coupe just to suddenly decide to get a FWD midsize sedan or crossover. Bimmer has it, however. The success of Kappa should translate into a higher volume, more advanced and flexible Kappa II architecture. Overall, great news but I'd rather have the rest or most of the rest of GM's 100+ cars selling well rather than having three sell out.
  22. That's what I was thinking. Bimmer, how long do you spend manicuring your eyebrows? Let them grow a bit inwards, son. Mute, Mute, Mute. I don't think I have that many pictures of myself period. Are you with a science teacher in one? I like the one with you and the two girls, sort of rockstar-ish. Nice body, too. Only a dream for me (not for me to have you but for me to have your body). The same thing with 04Monte. You're in NJ, too. Close...j/k. For what it's worth, the most recent photo of me on my computer, taken around Thanksgiving 2005. It's my Spice Girls pose, haha. Edit: I hope this helps for those that want it. My two favorite girls. Britney Spears in waterfall on tour Emma Bunton (aka Baby Spice) on a boat
  23. Are you sure you're only 12? Congratulations! On a related note, I love Tonsil's IP and rear end, very distinct and stylish.
  24. The photos that Bimmer posted kind of changed my attitude. I think it looks pretty good now even with the character line.
  25. At this point, people could care less about the overall cost advantage of a hybrid. All they have to do is drive by a gas station and see it is over $3.00 a gallon and that "justifies" it for them. Batteries are covered under warranty, I think 100,000 miles?
