FUTURE PRODUCTS -- GENERAL MOTORS
-OR- People will just buy a Tahoe/Suburban and buy a more efficient (used) daily driver. I know a guy who did just that, and my family has been doing it for years with our classics and trucks.

FUTURE PRODUCTS -- GENERAL MOTORS
Yeah, I guess all that BS about "maintaining our leadership position in trucks" was just that: corporate

FUTURE PRODUCTS -- GENERAL MOTORS
Why do I think that all of this (GM in general) is pretty much akin to the where Mitsubishi was a year or two ago? If GM is really planning on doing this little product development, they're going to die. It's just a matter of time. The yuppies won't even buy 'fresh' GM cars, much less 5 or 6 year old designs.

FUTURE PRODUCTS -- GENERAL MOTORS
I don't think so. I think GM itself is in too much trouble right now for them to worry about brands. They need "share product" out and they need it like yesterday. So that's what they're producing. Unless GM gives Pontiac uniqueness with the current crop of products. It doesn't have to be RWD V8 for it to be 'distinctly Pontiac' Hell, with the lose 're-badge' terms thrown around these days, the CTS may as well be a rebadged G8. This dealer channel needs volume too and there is no reason that 2 volume divisions couldn't exist at GM, especially if they're aimed at different segments of the market. Actually, that's all the better since GM could really (With a little luck and good marketing) reverse the share slide.

FUTURE PRODUCTS -- GENERAL MOTORS
Enjoy it while it lasts. Wow... Just wow... A luxury maker that is supposed to be the standard of the world, with a 20 year old flagship... Nice. Why? Why not phase it out and use the money to promote the CTS that is eating all of the STS sales anyway? WHY?!?!?! Doesn't the CTS compete with those cars? CAFE... Affecting Cadillac??? Whatever man... So, no flagship sedan or coupe and the media screaming "Allante: The Sequel" Sounds great! And in typical GM fashion, they'll be sold in the same dealer channel, by the same dealers with roughly the same price and depreciation. The more things change... Apparently, Chevrolet and Pontiac, in DIFFERENT dealer channels, can't overlap. But, by god, Saab and Cadillac can!!! Then again, GME is no doubt pitting Saab against Cadillac to be GM's supreme luxury division. Lots of money and lots of Cadillac prestige "on hold" there. Awesome!!! {not}

LOL... We knew it was too good to last. On of the two models that makes Caddy relevant, as well as one of the fastest growing segments. In a FWD Delta? C'mon man. Wow! That soon? Really?

More Chevy Traverse Pics
+1 So far, it looks (to me) like the fleet version of what was an awesome trio. The back is especially ugly and the front looks generic.

FUTURE PRODUCTS -- GENERAL MOTORS
...Or never be produced. (TRANSLATION: If the Camaro doesn't sell well or if the greenies get pissed off, then the program will end, so the vert is on hold) Yet not too weak for the CTS? Have fun while it lasts... Yay for a corporate 3.6L!!!! Yay for lost sales! Yay for trucks without balls, power and towing ability! Why not Zeta again? Exactly the truck GM needs for the exact time is on hold... Awesome.

FUTURE PRODUCTS -- GENERAL MOTORS
It's about time. Oh, yay... An outdated coupe model. Looks like Malibu will wither on the vine just like so many other good GM products before it. Apparently the only new model GM can work on. And what does layout have to do with CAFE again? Doesn't RWD (If it weren't cheap and heavy) benefit CAFE now. Oh, yay! Another FWD Invicta variant!

Got broken into
Only if you killed them. And something tells me that I wouldn't be the one getting f*cked in jail. Not to mention, it's also a case of 'who you know' if you know what I mean. Anyway... Cooler thoughts have prevailed (as always) and I'm probably not going to do anything anyway. It's just not really worth my time.

Automotive News: Pontiac future products
Finally... A voice of reason. Those in the media and biz that want the domestics to shed divisions want it for one reason. A continued, rapid decline of the company as a whole.

Spy Shot: Chevy Volt caught from the beltline up
Yet, the media won't give it it's due like they did the Aztek. (You know, like how the Element was 'cool' despite being an even bigger plastic abomination than the Aztek)

Spy Shot: Chevy Volt caught from the beltline up
I certainly hope NONE of that is the case. The devil is in the details, especially this day in age. The details make the design IMO.

Damn, that's surprisingly sweet!!! You go, GM!!!

GM Recalls 2008 Buick Enclave and 2007-'08 GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook
Because making Toyota bleed isn't part of the agenda. RE: the recall; this is a minor inconvenience at most IMO.

MetallicA: Death Magnetic (Few more updates)
I think the vox are good. For some reason though, "My Apocalypse" doesn't seem to be as high quality as "The Day That Never Comes" when downloaded. Maybe it's just me. It's always harder to get the right sound after going sober (No drinking or smoking) A lot of metal singers have had that problem. Just listen to Sully Erna from Godsmack (On "IV" his voice doesn't have the same growl) or Corey Taylor from Slipknot. (It's a damn wonder he hasn't seriously damaged his voice -- prolly has, just hasn't went public) or Wayne Static from Statix-X. I've read that it's referred to as "drying up" Same thing with M. Shadows from A7X. He actually drinks beer while recording to keep it from happening. Of course, both he and 'the Het' have seriously effed their vocal cords up at least one time before. Not to count, the ballad is actually 'singing' instead of just barking words into a mic.

No camo: CTS Coupe
That's whats so hot about it. The design conveys an energy and makes the car look like it's about to pounce. Of course, I drive a Focus ZX3 (Which has a lot of the same design/stance qualities -- not saying the cars look alike, but the same feeling is there) so that might be one reason I like it.

Uplander replacement spotted... and has a name!
Spot on! The HHR is appealing because it is UNIQUE and TRULY AMERICAN in design. GM has a real opportunity to make it a sort of halo (design and style-wise) as people move to small cars. To throw that out the window would betypical GM, and a shame. Just the death of one more interesting car in exchange for more euro inspired junk IMO. And that's a very sharp HHR BTW!!! Oh, and as for Lutz, he was "shut up and removed from power" a while back as far as I can tell. I think his death knell was the death of Zeta. The corporate bureaucracy that had been quietly lurking under the surface (but contained) finally gained enough momentum to turn the tide at GM (again) and Lutz is no more than a mouthpiece that is waiting to retire. Notice he doesn't even do many interviews anymore? This bureaucracy is so ignorant that it can't see that it's killing itself. So, as PCS likes to say, grab some popcorn and enjoy the story of the Titanic - Detroit style.

At least you could've taken the car too so I could put a nice down payment on a 3 door Astra.

Got broken into
At least they didn't get my catalytic converter. (Seriously, that's the new trend here in Charlotte. They sell them for scrap)
