  1. More green and pointy..
  2. And of course, for greens, it's hard to beat Pontiac's Verdoro Green..love this color.. And Chevy had Frost Green that I love..
  3. ...and yet sixties Pontiacs looked fantastic in yellow....Yes.. Yes.
  4. I really like that '60s pale yellow used on C2 Corvettes...looks good on big cars of the era like Buicks also, IMO...
  5. It's funny, I remember where I was when I saw it..was in winter in Colorado at sunrise in a restaurant parking lot, the morning sun was on it and the color was incredible.
  6. I like that color...there was a green metallic about 10 years ago that I saw once on an Avalanche that I really liked, never seen it again. It may be this color--Medium Sage Metallic...the 5th gen Camaro would look great in this green, IMO..
  7. The CLK Black Series also added 25 hp..the fender flares made room for wider wheels and tires for better grip, i would assume. I recall on Top Gear the CLK Black Series being described as terrifying...I've seen one in person--in a Dennys parking lot-- interesting car..really looked like a street version of a DTM race car. But back to Cadillac, the V-series is pretty impressive as it is, but I'm sure there is room for more excess... A V series coupe w/o the backseat, carbon fiber roof, etc.
  8. Probably further development of e-tron and other technologies. Maybe get into the ecoperformance niche as BMW is doing w/ the i8...
  9. It depends on the model...the CLK AMG got fender flares w/ wider tires, racing seats, the rear seat removed, carbon fiber roof, etc. The SL AMG pretty much had a custom body w fixed hardtop, flared fenders, wider tires, lots of carbon fiber parts, etc. Audi does their enhanced performance performance models with their R line on top of the S line models (like the RS5 or RS6), BMW has had special edition models on the Ms.. there is always room for more performance.
  10. Maybe inspired by Gundam robots At least they are dramatic and not the usual safe vanilla that other carmakers are doing.
  11. Seems Honda is following Mazda's lead in using more surface development in compact CUV designs instead of the usual bland.
  12. Something like that, but more serious...the M-B Black Series cars have a lot of performance enhancements, lightening, etc..
  13. Sure, why not..there is always room for excess..V++ models would be interesting. More power, exclusive interior trim, exclusive wheels, etc..
  14. The current models have been around since MY '08, so it's time for a new one..
  15. A buddy of mine in Colorado has never had a front plate or a front plate bracket on his '91 NSX...in the 15 years he's had the car, he's always just laid the front plate on top of the dash visible through the windshield...never had a ticket that I know of. I know other people in Colorado that had cars from 1-plate states that did the same thing. I've never understood the fear of two plates that some people have, but some cars do look better without a front plate bracket, esp. the cheap plastic cheesy ones a lot of newer cars have. My sister's DTS has a flush cover over where the front plate goes, looks factory, will have to remove it eventually when she needs a plate..
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. Googled it..only 19 states are 1 plate only. Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia. Interesting that all the states that border Ohio are 1 plate states.
  18. Body look solid...wonder if it still has the original engine and transmission?
  19. Saw a '73 Laguna 4dr and a '66/67 Riviera in a parking lot this afternoon, both may have had their original paint with a patina of age and wear..both looked quite restorable. Also saw a very clean '69 dark blue w/ white vinyl top '69 Galaxie 500 coupe.
  20. I like the exterior styling of the Caprice PPV, but the interior is too plain and gray...too bad we can't get a consumer version here w/ an LTZ interior trim.
  21. For me, a decontented SS is not on my desired list; I want this: I prefer the look and elegance of the longer Zeta. Sportier cars should be smaller, like the SS. I don't want sporty per say; I want entry level luxury/touring. I like the looks of the Holden Caprice V..would make a nice Caprice Classic here...I like its front end much more than the overwrought SS front end.

  23. Saw this today on Motor Authority, speculation about an NA-built NG SS on 'Zeta II' (Alpha?)...no idea how accurate it is, but interesting.. Chevrolet’s new SS muscle sedan has just arrived on the market but production of the car will last only until the end of 2017--at the latest--since the only place in the world it is produced at, Holden’s plant in Australia, has been confirmed to shut by the same date. Could the SS end up a one-hit wonder like two previous Holden-built cars sold here, the Pontiac GTO and G8? Not likely, says a new report. Car and Driver is reporting that a successor is planned, based on a heavily updated version of the Zeta platform found in the current SS (the most recent update was only a minor one). This updated platform, code-named Zeta II, is said to be used for both an SS successor and a new sports wagon that successor will spawn. The wagon has previously been hinted at by General Motors product chief Mark Reuss and may end up reviving Chevy’s Nomad nameplate. A successor for Chevy’s Caprice PPV, which is essentially a tamer, long-wheelbase version of the current SS, is also said to be planned. While the Caprice PPV has proven popular amongst police testers, the fact that it’s made outside North America has limited its sales success. That won’t be the case for its successor, as Car and Driver is reporting that it and the other cars based on the Zeta II platform will be built in North America. When might we start seeing these cars? Production of the first examples is expected to start as early as 2015. For performance fans in Australia, the successor to the SS may be offered locally as a replacement for the current V-8-powered versions of the Holden Commodore, since the next generation of the beloved Aussie sedan will be moving to a front-wheel-drive platform. Stay tuned for an update.
  24. As is Arizona. I think Michigan is also, I lived there 3 years in the 90s but had Ohio plates.
