  1. Wow...just saw it on Caddy's FB page. Wow. The Elmiraj.
  2. Or contemporary clothing lines like Sean John, Fubu, Rockawear or G-Unit (the Navigator was once a hip-hop icon, they could have leveraged those brands there...)
  3. 'Hydromatic'--water logged transmission would be consistent w/ the rust..
  4. 9:30 in what time zone?
  5. re: Carling Black Label in the US, according to Wikipedia: In 1979, after several years of intense pressure from the larger American Brewers Miller and Anheuser-Busch, Carling-National was bought out by the Heileman Brewing Co. of LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Carling and the Black Label brand are currently owned by the Molson Coors Brewing Company. In the United States, the Black Label brand is owned by the Pabst Brewing Company. Though no longer widely distributed in the U.S., Black Label remains the official beer of Beer Frisbee.[4]
  6. 'designo' is indeed lower case...http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/benz/design/designo 'Black Label' reminds me of Johnny Walker and the AMG Black Series subbrand. Has Cadillac done anything like this yet?
  7. Surprised this hasn't been available for years...
  8. I thought the only thing that came out of the GM-Subaru alliance was the Saab 9-2x...
  9. Well, Lexus has never had names, only alphanumerics. And they previously had a coupe called the SC, so RC is consistent.
  10. Chevy has been going in the opposite direction w/ the Corvette, $50k pickups, etc..quite a spread in price between a Spark and a ZR1. MB needs to attract younger buyers, younger buyers like small and are more price-sensitive, women like CUVs, this will sell...as does BMW's X1 and Audi's upcoming Q1. I would think Lexus and Cadillac will get into this niche eventually. They could have made something like this and badged it as a Smart, but they can sell more and at a higher price point as an MB.
  11. I bet it will be a hit..women love luxury CUVs.
  12. Well, they don't have Chrysler products anymore for the lower priced niches, and they can't seem to scale up Smart, and they want to attract younger buyers...
  13. All resources should have a standard national id card identifying them and their citizenship, IMO. Would be very useful.
  14. Most Americans are too lazy to get a passport.
  15. That was a staple of my high school senior year...I love old GnR...got to listen to some.
  16. beach
  17. Aren't they partially owned by Toyota? Volume shouldn't be a concern...
  18. No inspections here in stupid Arizona...I've seen cars driving around w/ no bumpers, no hoods, no front fenders, etc... even saw a pickup on the freeway once with no glass.
  19. Nothing wrong w/ a glut of sports cars...better than more CUVs and boring 4cyl FWD sedans. It would be interesting if the smaller model were an MR-2 revival..

    Wagons, ho!

Nah, wagon..doesn't have a sliding door...

    Wagons, ho!

Neat looking wagon..been a long time since the Civic had a wagon version in NA...would be nice to see this as an alternative to the CR-V.
  22. '52-54 Ford hardtop, looks like...
  23. It would be interesting how my electric bill ($450-550/month average June-Sept) would change w/ a Volt charging at night.. IIRC, the electricity here in the Valley of $h! is nuclear generated (Palo Verde plant west of Phoenix).
  24. I heard a while back about a Phoenix area outfit that was converting G8s into Sportwagons and Utes a while back... can't remember the name or if they're still in business. Maybe they've got something to do with this sighting. Hmmm...could be..this was on University in Tempe just south of the airport, west of 143...
