  1. Yes...I think Suzuki once had a tiny car called the Magnum Force or something similar, and Isuzu had a Big Dump dump truck. Great naming.
  2. I always thought 'central locking' meant one button on the fob to lock everything, one button to unlock everything.
  3. If Honda wanted build a line of Scion competitors for the US, how about the Life Dunk.. And the That's: Which are both interesting, if only for the hellacool names...
  4. Nope.. It's smaller. The previous City was basically a trunked Fit, this is a new platform from what I've read. Probably about the size of a Civic sedan from 10-15 years ago. The City would be a good addition to the US line, give them a Fit sized sedan....the Airwave would be nice also for a small MPV.
  5. I saw that concept in person a few years ago..it's a sweet design. Wish they had built it.
  6. In Brazil, I guess..they still have the old S10 Blazer with a unique front and some unique metal...
  7. Here's a '70 Imperial limo..what a beast.
  8. I like those C-body Chryslers....huge cars...so wide, so long..the roof looked tiny on the huge body, nearly symmetrical hood/deck lengths. The Imperials were even larger. 'Joy Ride' had one, a '71 Newport, IIRC.
  9. The same can't be said of the current 3 series..the current 3 4dr has such ugly taillights. The coupe looks much better, IMHO.
  10. I think a Crown Vic PI would be nice to have for a commuter car..black w/ the push bars, spotlights...other drivers would wonder if it was a cop or not.
  11. I want the manual transmission with a diesel.
  12. I thought it was China only..
  13. Yeah, I was just listing the new or redesigned models.
  14. Inside Line Article
  15. heh-heh... I do like the Women's Beach Volleyball...but winter has the uber-cool sports like curling, skeleton, and luge...
  16. Sounds like aluminum dust isn't too healthy to be around.. OSHA article on alumnium
  17. Oh yeah..that could be scary, like the old Peterbuilt in 'Duel'...
  18. I thought you were, but I can never tell around here...
  19. Yeah, transverse. 180 would be interesting, though...a transaxle ahead of a north-south engine in the front. Such a layout could have nice proportions (front axle far forward) and good weight distribution, sort of a front middle/ front drive layout.
  20. Yes, that side trim line on the '57 is what the '10 LaCrosse is going for with it's character line...but...something's still missing.
  21. Yeah, something like the worn out green '71 Eldorado in the movie 'The Highwayman'... a serial killer went around running people off the road with it.
  22. Speaking of extreme weather, I know someone that spends their summers in Palm Springs (which is as about as extreme as Phoenix) and their winters in Regina, Saskatchewan (which can get pretty cold, so I've heard).
  23. I hear you...sometimes, I'd love to have a '71 Ford LTD Brougham 2dr ht with a 429 to bomb around in...or a '71 Buick Riviera w/ 455. Or a '71 Chevy Impala sport coupe w/ a 454. Or a '71 Coupe De Ville. Or something from my birth year, 1970.. something restored and in polished, clean shape. I wouldn't want a rusty clunker, though. Something respectable. When I go back to Ohio Labor Day weekend, I'll have to take my Mom's '68 Cougar for a spin..hardtop, manual steering, manual brakes, 3spd manual, 302 V8, no A/C, am radio, mint condition, 65k miles. A pain in the arse to drive, but fun.
  24. Yes, bland, mainstream crap... I guess Toyota has built better blandmobiles than GM has, or least, cars that were perceived to be better.
  25. The problem is, the sales of Toyotas clearly show that Americans want bland..they demand vanilla...thus, GM has been focusing on boring with mixed results for 25+ years...
