New Camaro
Interesting they went with a steel wheel w/ trim ring and plastic center..even the most basic V6 Mustang has aluminum wheels...

Yes..that's the one I saw...reminds me of a larger version of the '80s S-10/Blazer wheel.

Beyond Hot
From Wikipedia: On 12 March 2007 a consortium led by Prodrive chairman David Richards purchased Aston Martin for £475m/USD$848m.[13] Prodrive has no financial involvement in the deal.[14] Ford will keep a stake in the company (valued at GBP 40 million / USD 70 million). The consortium also consisted of John Sinders, an Aston Martin collector; and two Kuwaiti investment companies, Investment Dar and Adeem Investment Co.

Officially official: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze
Well, it is the modern equivalent of the J-car. The J-car was a world car, sold in different brands, different names, different bodystyles in many markets. This car, though, will have the same styling and name in more markets than the J did, though.

If (insert Asian brand here) did (insert wish here) I'd buy one....
Yes, sweet car...my friend Steve in Denver has a '91... I've ridden in it many times, driven it a few times..it's really a sweet car...black w/ black interior. The handling is great.

Ode to the Chevette HSR
Very cool... I had vaguely heard of these cars before... impressive to think of a Chevette race car. I could care less for NASCAR--it's the WWF of motorsport---but rallying, touring car racing (BTCC, etc), and F1 have long been my favorites..

Anybody want to guess where gas prices end up.....
I predicted $5.55 by Labor Day, so I was a bit off..

As gas prices recede, so do fuel efficiency concerns
Could be..I had heard oil shale was cost prohibitive at previous $/barrel levels...ultimately, though, I think we have to find a way to move away from oil dependence...hybrids, electric cars, fuel cells, nuclear, plutonium, water, air, dirt, something...

As gas prices recede, so do fuel efficiency concerns
Offshore drilling won't do any good, though... that's something that will take 5-10 years to see any ROI..

There are a lot of people living in the past, thinking it's still 1941. In a global economy, such simplistic jingoism doesn't fly..

As gas prices recede, so do fuel efficiency concerns
The thing is, we really don't know if the price is going to stabilize at $3.75 or wherever... given worldwide demand that is growing, instability in oil source regions, there is no reason to think it won't go up again in the US, to $5 or more within the next few years..so it would be pretty short-sighted to go buy a Hummer now..

Officially official: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze
Well, they are trying for a world car....look at the original Focus..it was a world car, didn't look distinctly 'American', but did well here..

OH OH!
Congrats...the Taurus X is a good looking wagon, IMHO..I like the Taurus sedan also, but thought the Five Hundred had a nicer front end design.

As gas prices recede, so do fuel efficiency concerns
Well, the last few summers have seen a price spike then a drop... but each time, it's dropped to a level higher than where the previous drop stopped...definitely more pronounced this year.

Officially official: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze
Chevy probably couldn't afford to stand it up and get it the door earlier, what with the cost of the launches of the Traverse, Camaro, and Equinox within the next 2 years for NA..

Officially official: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze
That's just the US marketing slogan...in Europe, it's more of the Korean Revolution brand.

Let's hear it for a cheap fix!
My Ray Ban sunglasses case would fit in there with my cell phone, looks like. I wonder if it's sloped downward inside so said stuff wouldn't fly out.

Quote of the Day
Speaking of all things poop, I had an adventure last night..was up washing sheets and a comforter at midnight because Diarrhea Dog jumped in my bed. Amazing how much a 10lb dog can poo..

Coupe or Sedan?
A good friend of mine's wife (tiny 5'0" Japanese-American lady from Hawaii) had a lot of fun stories about almost getting crushed by the doors on her first car, a '76 Grand Prix..... she drove an '88 Coupe De Ville for years, traded it on a Volvo XC70 a few years ago.

I drove a Town Car to my 10th high school reunion back in '98.... they are my favorite rental car. I love the old school style.

If (insert Asian brand here) did (insert wish here) I'd buy one....
If I bought a Prius, I'd feel like a sellout...my friends and coworkers would all applaud my choice, but I'd feel dirty. Therefore, I should by a Town Car..it's kind of the anti-Prius. But my Dad didn't buy his first Lincoln until he was 56, so I'm still a bit young for one..
