  1. Cool RV...that reminds me of a '73 Mobile Traveler 21 foot motorhome w/ a Dodge cab my folks had when I was a kid. Had a 318 that liked to stall a lot. Our second RV was a 25 foot Southwind Class A, it had a 440.
  2. The G6 must be taking the Grand Prix's place as rental queen. I suppose the budget for Pontiac updates is 1/100th that of Chevy or Saturn, so this reflects that...
  3. Yawn...34 mpg is pretty weak for such a small car..this is something that will sell only on price..the Wal-Mart car.
  4. I've seen a couple...about 3 years ago, there was a dark blue on in the parking garage at my office building..saw it every day...it was a neat design. I worked with a guy in '06-07 that had a 9-3 SportCombi...neat wagon.. rode in it a couple of times.
  5. I'm hoping Revell does one as a 1:25th scale plastic kit. They've done the regular C6 coupe and convertible, the Z06, and C6-R in kits so far...
  6. Yeah, she's kind of a rare breed in the US..don't see many Australian Terriers. She's a retired champion show dog...lots of personality. One of those dogs that demand attention, can't be ignored..
  7. I fawn over my Australian Terror Dog, 10 pounds of menace...a little piranaha of love.
  8. I'd to see all 3 in the US...CTS wagon, G8 wagon, and this as an Aura wagon, with a diesel option.. I'd love to see wagons make a comeback in the US over CUVs..
  9. In profile, the similarity to the Vue is obvious in the lousy FWD cab forward proportions...
  10. Same fwd/awd generic platform....Theta/Theta Premium... same meat, different toppings...
  11. Supposedly the Insigniaura is delayed
  12. Sweet...the G37 is my favorite Japanese car, this will be a nice addition to the line.
  13. saloon is the English term for sedan.
  14. Looks like sliding tie-downs (on each side) and a storage compartment (spare tire well?) in the centre..
  15. Not really..the W- Century/Regal were the same car with minor cosmetic differences...the Altima/Maxima are two different cars--no sheetmetal in common, different wheelbases, interiors, etc...likewise with the Camry/Avalon.
  16. Yeah, one of the best view angles IMHO of the Malibu is the rear 3/4 from the side..I like the C-pillar and quarter panel shape..
  17. Bingo..without rentals, I would never be exposed to GM or Ford cars...
  18. I think the Century/Regal duality was really a continuation of what GM had done in the past within brands..i.e. each brand (or division, as they once were called) used to have a base, medium, and top-of-the line model within each platform, each with a different name, sometimes a different grille, and different trim/content...sometimes 2 (i.e. in the late 70s-early 80s-- Impala/Caprice, Catalina/Bonneville), sometimes 3-4 (like they did in the '60s-'70s- LeMans/Tempest/GTO, Biscayne/Bel Air/Impala/Caprice, F85/Cutlass, etc). Nothing new.

  20. As it said in the post, ELS is a surround sound system. The CSX is the Canadian Acura Civic. I wonder if it will get the new shield grille style like the new TSX and TL.
  21. Americans probably think the same thing about Hondas and Toyotas as far as being made in US..
  22. That is surprising about the Volvos...but my sister has rented them several times from Hertz...being a traveling consultant, she has a different car every week.

  24. Besides the grille, it's what really gives it build identity, IMHO..
  25. 1) Yeah, that is a high percentage... 2 suicide, 1 missing after a car accident, presumed dead (my nemesis), 2 dead from diseases, 2 from car accidents, 1 in the Gulf War... about 1/2 within 5 years of graduation. 2) The lawyer loves LA, she's one of the MILFs--still looks great at 38. A couple of the others in CO I had stayed in touch with since the 10th and have hung out a couple times since then..they live up in the mountains, involved in the ski industry and restuarants. It was funny--one of the women who lives in Colorado we discovered through talking that we had lived for 5 years in the same neighborhood in Colorado Springs in the late '90s and never realized it 3) Yes, D divorced..worked to my advantage.. Had a great time. Another sad story was one of the girls that was quite a hottie in high school looked very thin and rough..she's been fighting a crack addiction for about 10 years apparently, which is sad--she was from a wealthy family in town and went to Harvard, good student. It's fun also to see people's career choices... about 10% are cops, 10% are teachers...one guy that was a total goofball is a DEA agent, a couple career military guys, one guy who worked with his dad in high in drug importing (and did 15 years in a federal pen) now does anti-drug programs in schools, another has a TV fitness show, one guy is an aspiring comic book artist, a couple electrical engineers, a couple realtors,...only myself and one other are in the software biz. The car nut in HS that had a Grand National back then now owns a garage in town. The kid that was into Mopars in high school (had a '72 Road Runner then a '73 Charger then) still is into them..has a '75 Duster w/ a 440 and a '73 Cuda now.. I had changed quite a bit physically since I was 18..about the same height, but 75 lbs heavier (I was a skinny kid), and now w/ a shaved head instead of my '80s 'do..
