Chrysler is in the sale volume tent as Acura & infiniti and it's 25% higher than volvo. No way that's 'miserable' volume unless those other premium brands are also. Are they? I agree with DD; we read certain people claim Lincoln was "a dead brand" but all it took was product to revive it. Chrysler has far greater potential than fiat or alfa romeo has, it just needs the right product.6 points

Dodge is the everyman brand Chrysler is the premium brand like a cross between Buick and Lincoln. Fiat - kill in the US Alfa - Merge with Maserati Maserati - Ultra luxury brand Ram - Trucks Jeep - just be jeep.5 points

Holy s-h-i-t people...we are going to do this in every thread????????4 points

The problem was he wanted to dump the wrong brands. He wanted to save the Italian brands and kill off the american ones except Jeep.4 points

Well, finally took the plunge. My prior 2 flip phones lasted a combined 11 years and I had no complaints, but I just bought a new iPhone 8. Man, is this going to be a long learning curve. BTW - Costco, as referenced here on page 1, only sells the iPhone X.3 points

You have almost as many miles as I have on my 5 yr old Jeep...42.5k now. In the 2 years I've had it, it's been very reliable. Happy w/ my FCA CPO.3 points

Jeep sells real honest-to-God SUVs that are supposed to go off-road. Chrysler does NOT have those. The Pacifica is a really good if not great minivan. A very good FWD crossover or two can do Chrysler some good. Just don't mess it up like they did with the Dodge Journey.3 points

Where I grew up, that is the choice of transportation for convicted DUI drivers. It gets all the honeys though lol, certainly than any Smart car will.3 points

wrong answer... If you think its about you and Tesla... you are waaaaaaay off If you want answers from me, maybe you should start giving decent arguments. Not hidden agenda rhetoric. When I respond to you, answer back. Dont ignore. Acknowledge. If not. You'll get what you do. You downvote when you dont like something, or you use that laughy thing without answering to it. So, whenever I see something I dont like from you, Ill just downvote without explanation. I left for about two weeks. And its the same ole same ole trolling. We are all over 30 years of age. Some of us are well into our 40s. Some of us into our 50s. Can we just have INTELLIGENT conversation and let go of the petty, childish crap? We get it. You dont like Tesla... BIG PHOQUING DEAL!!! However, even at GM, cars are in the shop for 45 days...it happens sometimes... And in GM North America at that! What? We are sooooo wanting everything right now today? I sometimes have to wait 48 hours to get a phoquing oil change and tires changed at BOTH Acura and Ford... Tires and oil change... Without knowing what really was wrong with that ride sharing Tesla...we give our two bit hatred for Tesla just because a Chinese ride hailing company said Tesla gave shyte service. One glaring question I got for that Tesla ride sharing company is: What did YOU do to the car for it to be in the shop for 45 days? What did the driver do to it? How phoqued up was his driving for the Tesla to be in the shop? North Americans are not exactly awesome drivers...but Chinese drivers are notoriously bad... Its funny though, your hatred for Tesla IMMEDIATELY makes you blame Tesla. But as I, when I said I dont trust China and Trump...you downvote me. Because I mentioned Trump? Funny? You mention immigrants in an EV thread and you wanna pass that off as OK converstaion... Well... Hypocrite much?2 points

Yet, until now, you have never called out GM with the same vigor that you reserve for Tesla. You also contradicted yourself nexuses your initial gripe was about them being Junk, not because it parts and service timeframes.2 points

Lincoln style crossovers based on Pacifica. It could be done just fine. Why does Porsche, Audi, and VW all have SUVs that overlap?2 points

Funny you say that... My partner's TESLA Model S is has over 100 000 KM (over 60 000 miles) and other than a couple of recalls (3-5 recalls), nary an issue too... To keep this in perspective...my own Acura has had 2 or 3 recalls to which one of them was silent...but the TL is very reliable... My wife's Fusion...I literally cant count them on both of my hands as I think the recalls exceeded 10...but the Fusion, other than front brake rotors being changed prematurely because they warped (prematurely|), very reliable too... Anecdotes are fun..arent they? But you have hidden agendas , and you become hypocritical when discussing things...2 points

Chrysler needs product. Jeep and Ram are thriving because they actually have new product. Chrysler will too if given the chance.2 points

There are a ton of options on that front, I’m sure, but hopefully whatever they decide to go with gets a better response than their current design language.1 point

Jesus iPhone. It’s “because” not “nexuses”. This should really get back to GM and their EV pickup plans.1 point

Damn, shouldn’t take that long to fix a car.....if it was mine-I’d be pissed. Now that the Envision has been out for a while- not so impressed with it now. While it’s a nice looking car, it’s spent more time in the shop than my neighbor’s driveway.......1 point

So it’s just better for you to disregard valid arguments (like what Drew said) and create your own narrative so that you can feel better about bashing an American company trying to do business in a nation known for unreliable junk? As as it has already been pointed out, the problem is not whether the Tesla’s there are junk or not. It’s the down time which has jack squat to do with reliability. If you want to cherry pick this because of your blind hate, go ahead. Just don’t expect others to buy into because most folks here know the facts.1 point

My mom loved hers (alas it was a lease and she could not afford to buy it at the end of the term) and I really like the new one. I would consider an X-Line in green if they offered it with stick. I think all small cars should be available with stick. Well the spy shots make it look sort of bug-eyed but cool.1 point

Welcome to iPhone. I have an iPhone 8 Plus since June and it is great. No need (for me) to get a X, Xr or a Xs.1 point

Smart should be sold in 2nd/3rd world countries, where a cheap, small car is all they can afford. Or as an EV brand in China as a low cost EV for those that can't afford a bigger car because cars are pretty expensive in China. Outside of that, there is no point in the Smart brand.1 point

Now who’s getting personal? Oh and I don’t drink so I don’t require the DUI special to get around town. This is literally an everyday occurrence in my home state and that’s normally after the drunks have already crashed their mopeds.1 point

That would be the only reason I could see that not happening for the Soul. My wife has a 2015 Soul and absolutely loves it but AWD would sure be nice in the winter months when we go up the Arizona mountains.1 point

My impression of the Chinese billboard was more that they were criticizing Tesla's customer service and long repair times. Cars of every make break down at some point, but 45 days average repair time is unacceptable no matter what brand it is. They'd be putting the same billboard up in Time Square if it was Camrys that were taking 45 days to fix also.1 point

AMG doesn't offer a manual transmission.. I'd hold off on the public having a pulse quite yet. Looking at those numbers... everything is a weak spot. The only vehicles that weren't down were vehicles that only sell hundreds a month anyway.1 point

Really don’t want to bother with you because you don’t want to hear the answer but let me just sum it up though. A country that makes endless unreliable junk doesn’t get to make statements about American companies and their issues regardless of truth or not.1 point

Fiat, Alfa and Chrysler sales are just miserable. This is why Sergio wanted to merge and dump some brands.1 point

It's interesting that the small Asian brands are doing really well while the big ones are flat or down. I take that back as new numbers come in.1 point

It's not that it was priced too high for the market. It's that they were only building the expensive trims first. It's the same mistake that GM made with the first gen SRX, they built a bunch of high option V8 models and very few V6 models, when it was the lower end that customers wanted at first. You're right though about the QX50. There is nothing special about it. Their variable compression turbo 4 didn't leave me thinking it was any better than a regular turbo 4.... and in fact it was noticeably less refined.1 point

Bob Eaton Sold Chrysler to Daimler because he wanted shareholders to cash out. Chrysler has largely suffered ever since. FCA (i.e. the Italians) HATE all Chrysler brands NOT named Jeep. The new CEO must ditch FIAT and Alfa Romeo as soon as possible (at least in the USA); otherwise we will see Chrysler and Dodge will die while RAM and Jeep will be bled for cash.0 points
