Cadillac News: Cadillac CT6 Reveals Itself In New Commerical
Interesting, Have to say the commercial hit the nail on the head as I am totally intrigued with seeing more of the car. What is the engine? What does the interior look like, want to see more of the body for details. Over all I want more!

Close to 10,000 lbs with armor, a V12 is needed. A V8 in this car would be like a 2.0T in an Escalade ESV Platinum. WRONG! It is a little small 6 liter V12, The GM 6.2L V8 would do a better job than this engine with better gas mileage. Again you are hung up on the badge and not the real facts. That V8 could not produce the NVH standards needed buy a car like this. They Maybach cars don't use Mercedes most powerful engine for a reason, they need smoothness and quietness. The Mercedes-AMG V12 makes 811 lb-ft of torque, but the computer limits it to 738 lb-ft to protect the transmission and reduce wheel spin. Totally and completely disagree with you. GM's 6.2 L V8 is silky smooth and you clearly have never driven one. Also when did we start talking about the AMG, stick to the facts of the story above, this is about their normal Twin Turbo V12 which is heavier than GM's V8's. The 6.2 L Vi puts out 420hp 450lb-ft of torque and I am sure can easily move this beast of a car. Yet if you feel it needs the power of the TT V12 then I know just as smooth and superior would be the Supercharged Z06 Engine with 650HP.

Cadillac News: Spying: Cadillac XT5
Interesting, look far more boxy than the SRX and I do not see how they say it has stacked LED headlamps, you can barely see them.

Chevrolet News:The Chevrolet Bolt Name Debate
That works for an auto traditionalist like me. Think it'll fly with a company trying to target the "hip, young" crowd? Actually in the US, Yes I think it would fly with the Hip young crowd. Marketing by GM would have some hip young group using electric instruments with various amps projecting the music and show case the car. Ampera - Your 22nd Century Ride has arrived! Get it at your local Chevy! Make sure to allow interior customization packages so the young crowd can rock their ride.

Tesla car sales tanking in China
Plus my reading tells me that China companies are trying to push their own connection standards for their own EV auto's so I am sure that is hurting with trying to have a single standard.

WOW, You need to wake up and smell the coffee. Your MB is not any better. Saw your precious C300 and the interior was no better than the ATS or CTS. Worse yet was the CLA AMG I saw today with the cheap looking floating nav and the Copy Cat FORD Style and quality feel of plastic circle vents. MB is not making them any better than the competition. Your now splitting hairs to justify. You used to always compare first off against MB, now you have to throw Audi at it saying it is not equal to them and surly not any where as good as gods MB line. Corvette according to their web site on the 2015 is 0 to 60 in 2.95 seconds so the heavier ATS-V is not beating the Corvette. This is the time verified by Road and Track and Motor Trend. According to each vendors web site. C300 0 to 60 says 6.2 seconds with turbo 4 241hp / 273 lb-ft ATS 0 to 60 says 5.4 seconds with turbo 4 272hp / 295 lb-ft CLA45 AMG - The closet thing I can tell as ATS-V equal is only a turbo 4 putting out 355HP and MB will not state the Torque but they do say only 4.4 seconds to 60 from 0. So how is the ATS-V with 450+ HP and 440+ lb-ft or Torque doing 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds sad? Just because it has according to you a worse interior than Audi and MB C300 it cannot compete? Check the images above as I think that 2014 interior beats it just fine. If that is not good enough then here is the 2015 for you to compare the 2015 C300 too or at least that is what the MBUSA.com web site says it is.- 12 replies

Guess I just do not get the allure of MB. The style outside and inside does nothing for me. I do like the spec of the TT V12 engine. Guess when you are so insecure you need a V12 when a V8 or V6 will do just fine. Heck Corvettes V8 engine does better than this V12 without all the complexity, extra weight and over the top price. But then the Billionaires have to spend money on something.- Rolls-Royce News: Rolls-Royce Goes Forward On A SUV

G. David Felt Alternative Fuels & Propulsion writer www.CheersandGears.com BMW i8 Cool or Poor Engineering Choices? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTNKiTrX0Vk BMW Technicians go over the BMW i8 on how to open the doors and the hood in the You Tube Video above. This made me just go WOW as questions flooded my mind on how in my own opinion this is poorly engineered. In reading the posted comments, it would seem many think like I do. From the comments on BMW is starting to be like Apple, you have to pay them to do anything even basic like fill washer fluid to the most common broken item is the manual door release if your fob release fails to work or you need to get out in an emergency to the certified BMW technician who calls the door switches and hood latches the most flimsy he has ever seen. It even takes two people to open the hood to get access to basic items to refill and you have no way to hold it up unless you use two Phillip screw drivers in hing holes to hold the hood up. Do not think about pushing just anywhere to close the hood as you can crack or break the hood and if you do not have even pressure on both sides by the two people you end up with flex which will crack the hood. Just getting to the Hood release requires releasing manual pull cables one on each side of the door jam. Over all, I did not see one positive comment on this car from the posting and it really shows how crazy BMW is to think people will pay the type of money for this auto that is so poorly engineered. Watch The Video! Sound Off, what do you think of these items?
