  1. That and we all know that the redesigns are merely just lights & grills for the most part. Then the hatch offering will be an attention getter, more bang for the buck.
  2. I've never seen one in the flesh and it hurts me so best friend has the turbo its so fun I always make him take it for a
  3. Hey I saw a 500 for the first time yesterday and man is it small. Kinda cute though also did anyone else notice how similar the back end is to the PT Cruiser? Kinda forth coming or prequel or wat evah
  4. Longer, lower , wider... oooh
  5. Though I LIKE the look of the prototype I'm glad it wasn't given the green light as it is more practical than sleek bold or flashy. Caddy should do cars in the manner of Gen II across the board. As stated before that looks the part of Chevy, but I guess that's why I'm in the Chevy camp again(RIP Olds) it suits me to a tee. Still waiting for MY chariot as is Camino

  8. Under the Environmental Improvement Score they list the Prius as the highest score awarded but it hasn't any conventional equivalent, or have I missed this? Please inform me of the Toyota stable mate. "Environmental Improvement Score (0-10, 10 best) measures the smog-forming and global warming pollution performance of the hybrid against its conventional counterpart."
  9. Red 1974 Ford Pinto show room clean in ALL its glory non historical tags even

    Finally!

    Got to agree wit ya
  11. "One of the greatest challanges is to overcome the image of the Olds diesel. GM did more damage with this engine than good on opening the diesel maket. It would make it harder for them than anyone to being back a large number diesel car sales." Why is it that we harp on the bad press that this engine got and forget that the V6 was a good engine? When we talk about a name for a car model some here defend the use because 1/3 of the public weren't born yet. This is the same case these engines were built 78-85, as I read in another post. Who here was born after 1985? The only ones who will harp on GM will be the press and they've been wrong banging the drums for quite a few duds. Olds isn't built anymore(sadly) and the public will hardly remember the failure that the V8's were, most were our parents or Grands that bought them and few were running later when this buying public got their licenses. GM has learned alot about diesels and have made one of the best with the DuraMaX they continue to make great engines in Europe and hopefully will add the MiniMaX and car EcoMaX lines soon>. We know that GM reads this site do we really want to be the ones stifling this technology?

  15. Sorry I don't recall but which wagon do you refer to?
  16. Though I found a COPO Citation II basically a 2 tone paint job & not even on a XII but a 4dr sedan
  17. Hard to give up on something that still works well even if inefficient. I have a 50's Frigidaire furnace in the new to me foreclosure home we moved to after loosing my house of 21 years. The thing must be like 25% efficient by now but I can't afford to replace it till I find a job.
  18. I would like the HHR based on the 62panel trucks Longer lower wider
  19. I remember some w/o the lever it was in the Ice Bin you took the tray inverted it on the bin pulled the lever and the content dropped in or as you said explode but 99.8% was captured. BTW run cold water before cracking said ice will leave larger pieces.
  20. I looked at that Vega. It was a Cosworth COPO. Was kind of interesting. Was it COPO because it was Cosworth or in addition to I've Googled and cant find reference to COPO Vegas and don't recall them(sometimers getting me) I always had a soft spot for Vegas remembered those high HP claims back in 71 for the Cosworth. The Vega(2bbl) & Camaro(307cid 2bbl) had the same HP both 110 like my beloved Corvairs. Vegas responded well to little tuning and if ya put an Opel GT 4spd in the Saginaw 3spd cars they'd cook to 45mph.

  22. Should've already been done!
  23. I'm on this bandwagon also. Pardon me if this doesn't come across just right. Chevy should be the softer side of work trucks sporty, economic, historic(el camino)though still offered to fleets with modest needs. Chevys should get HIPO V8's that still can tow & carry a load, Turbo V6's & the Mini MAX for economy and Zeta with the Utes. Chevy takes no back seat to GMC their brothers that have different occupations. GMC should go after Ford Super Duty, Jeep, Creative work solutions (the vise on the tailgate I've wanted for years doing Fleet Maintenance) Engines should be tuned for the most torque at the sacrifice of HP and the BASII offered for fleets needing to watch their fuel MPG also CNG offered again. Add some kind of panel truck to the mix but not a HHR replacement more fleet oriented good tie downs netting containment wells. Professional Gradeneeds to be much more than "I can spend more on my truck so I'll buy a GMC over a Chevy! GMC should be able to option up higher than its brother as privet fleet owners may want a classy rig like Owner Opperators buy their OTR Tractors. Also GMC should be the Division to relaunch Medium Duty Trucks with out Chevy in that mix.
  24. Yes quite rare and desirable I'd have it if the damned economy & job issues were better just needs a 700r4 added to the mix
  25. Great pix liked the Full Sized Chevys and what was that COPO Vega?
