  1. Just for you I went online again and quoted compatible 2016 Malibu instead of Mazda 6. Guess what, Malibu is $30 more expensive per year than Mazda 6 But thank you very much for proving my point
  2. So Mazda 6 is also a racer car? Funny how GM fanboys operate. Shelby GT350 is $60k and up car, pretty much in the same territory price wise as C7 Corvette and C7 Grand Sport has higher level of performance than Shelby.
  3. Actually, Miata's price was just $20 more expensive than 2016 Mazda 6. It is definitely the Corvette Just for the hell of it put BMW M4 and that was $400 more expensive a year than GT350 and over $600 more expensive than GS.
  4. So was playing with my insurance online, getting sample quotes based on VIN numbers of the cars on sale nearby. Very interesting numbers: 2017 Shelby GT350 is $200 a year more to insure than 2018 Mustang GT, which in turn $20 more expensive to insure than 2017 Corvette Grand Sport ( biggest surprise for me) which is only $30 a year more to insure than 2019 Miata RF Club. Is Corvette so cheap to insure because only retirees are buying them and than driving them 10mph under the speed limit?
  5. Congrats, it is very cool vehicle. I am not a huge fan of G-wagen AMG (I think proper off road vehicles need to be geared for off road, not on road racing) but at least this thing is cool, cooler than all the regular vanilla crossovers. Hope it serves her well. The old G-wagen looks hardly damaged, surprising it was totaled.
  6. Just got my wife MDX Sport Hybrid. It is faster and better driving than regular MDX while having much better fuel economy (at least on paper, will see about that). 0-60 under 6 seconds (according to C&D 5.7sec) is not bad for a three row family crossover.
  7. I didn't say that 8-sec car is slow, it is adequate for regular driving. But there is a notable difference between 8-sec and 6-sec car, even 8 and 7 sec. Also, depends where the torque is, some slower car that have more torque at low rpm feel faster then they really are.
  8. Awesome ride, I really liked it at auto show. It is a real shame how GM packages and not promoting some of the cars because this one is really nice one. Hope it serves you well.
  9. Tell it to me wife ... On a more serious note, my wife as an example doesn't know and doesn't care what is 0-60 time is, however when she test drove cars, the feel of acceleration from stop, how fast the car got going made a big difference in her decision. Most people don't "care" what exact 0-60 times is but a lot of people care how well car accelerates from a stop. Most people don't floor it all the time but from experience there is a big difference in "feel" between a 6 second car and 7.5-8 sec.
  10. It is great that they are not abandoning it. The twins and the Miata are probably the best affordable sports cars on the market. Good to see Toyota and Subaru investing to make them better.
  11. I honestly didn't even know they had Malibu hybrid ...
  12. Yes, i would try it.
  13. I am one of the extreme cases here, I drive 29k miles a year. My current car does 22.5mpg (lets say 22) on premium gas, so even when I switch to a car that does 10mpg better on regular gas (32), with the prices today where I live, I will be saving $1480 a year. It is a lot but not completely justifies buying a new car just for that reason.
  14. My current daily gets only 22.5mpg with premium gas, with my commute mostly highway so I would be in big trouble. However, I probably very soon will take from my dad 2016 Mazda 6 that should get at least 30mpg on regular gas, so I should be ok.
  15. I would need to test drive them, but for me it would be between the G80 and S5.
  16. Aren't you driving Lincoln crossover? You probably are an elderly lady in that case ...
  17. Very nice car, congrats. Hope serves you well.
  18. Personally, for me Model 3 front looks really awkward and in general I don't think 3 looks good On the other hand I think Model S still looks great My coworker just got new Silverado, personally I think front looks horrible.
  19. From the rear they look almost identical
  20. Really? And current Chevrolet vehicles for example are much different? To me this looks as bland and uninspired as anything, generic as they come At least Toyota tried to put some style into the new RAV4
  21. How is it underwhelming? It seems it compares very favorably against the rest of the segment. According to fuelly, people seem to get around 35mpg average,
  22. Finally auto makers getting some sense into them! This should have happened at least 3-5 years ago.
  23. Going forward all of these safety features will be standard (pretty much already) on all cars and trims, and I don't think they will be easily defeatable, if at all. Same as airbags, ABS and traction control.
  24. Old Defender was used by many militaries, not just UK. I am sure it will mater to them as well as off roaders how sturdy it will be and how well new Defender will drive off road.
