  1. Time to bring jobs back to America instead of relying on cheap labor and products from China. Of course, that won't happen, the guy in the Article stated he was looking to India and Vietnam for cheap labor. It never ends.
  2. Shoulda bought that rusty, 7.8 mpg `71 Sedan Deville XP was selling for around $500 a while back Wish I had the money to buy it at the time.
  3. Seriously, how so? IT offers more room and utility than the standard car while keeping the size down and performance/style that makes Mini so endearing. Sometime Reg

  5. Can't argue with that lineup.
  6. Haha well it's just funny what the last 2 things were on his list: murder and taking a dump!
  7. Awesome, I can't wait to see one myself.
  8. You forgot to compare it to the 3 Series and how it will never handle like one even though it can run the `Ring faster than any BMW to date. It should only weight 2.3 lbs and needs triple overhead cams to be any good. It need 9 speeds in the gearbox too.
  9. Actually it does have a NAV
  10. Right you are. Chrysler may be taking a beating from the media and sales of some of their crappy offerings (all FWD ironically :wink), but when push comes to shove they have always delivered, and aren't afraid to do what others are afraid to do, and the LX is one of the best recent examples. Chrysler is having a tough time, but they are working on improving their cars, the new Ram and Patriot are proof of this.
  11. Saw my first Maxima...they look a lot better in person, really good actually.
  12. Yep, that Buick's IP is beautiful. I have a photo of it I took for one of my Photography classes: CMG, you have a pretty insane collection of vehicles, that most normal thing you guys have is that Magnum!
  13. I remember hearing about the platform's limited flexibility too.
  14. Careful, I hear the Swiss hate cars.
  15. Another cool platform with potential bites the dust. Not that I'm surprised. Then again is Alpha is flexible enough to be shrunk down that would be a possiblity...assuming they are even working on Alpha anymore.
  16. Good point, I guess it just depends what parts you use, and don't make it obvious they're from other vehicles!
  17. I think the key is that BMW spent the time and money to do it right, instead of cheaping out like Ford did, using their parts (like switchgear) in Jags, or even rebodying the Mondeo as the X type, or GM rebadging a TrailBlazer and an Impreza, which also alienated fans of the brands.
  18. BMW has done an excellent job managing the Mini brand, keeping it focused and keeping the winning formula, and the models they have added don't dilute the brand. If only GM knew how to manage brands that well.
  19. It sounded fair and pretty accurate to me. It' a middle-of-the road car. Gets you a new car for low money but it's still a pentalty box compared to other offerings out there. Better off buying a nicer used car for the same money, IMHO.
  20. The looks are what keep me away. The interior is nice but not nice enogh for me to consider it over the exterior.
  21. Only the Chrysler vans have fold-away 2nd and 3rd row seats. Given the choice between the Mercedes whale and the Flex, I'd take the Flex any day. I'd even consider one over the Chrysler vans, unless ultimate practilcality was what I wanted...just can't beat a minivan in that respect. But the Flex is compelling because of it's unique looks, great interior, and neat features, plus it's probably better to drive.
  22. Funny thing is that to me, the cars pictured look better as they get older.
