  1. I was pretty disappointed when the GM ride & drive program that lets anyone try their cars pressure free at malls in the Southern Ontario each summer didn't have the Astra either time it came to the Mall across the street from where I live. I mean I got to drive a Corvette Convertible, G8, CTS, Malibus, Aura... But the Astra was nowhere to be found.
  2. Venturer/Uplander.. Whatever. Same story, different name
  3. Dodge Nitro, Jeep Compass, Honda Ridgeline come to mind
  4. Mine would be 1. Toyota Corolla 2. Chevrolet Venture 3. Kia Sedona 4. Mercury Grand Marquis 5. Kia Optima 6. Chevrolet Impala 7. Toyota Yaris 8. Ford Ranger 9. Lexus ES 10. Cobalt/G5 Sedan
  5. IIRC My Intrigue speed limiter is 108mph due to the awful OEM S rated tires.
  6. I think Hyundai has rebounded relatively well from their 80's and 90's issues because back then they weren't selling nearly as many cars. Less people were affected personally by owning a bad one.
  7. Though I barely play video games, I had fun with the drums portion of this game for a while. Never got good enough to play it well on the hard level though. Which is to say, I pretty much sucked at it. Fun with friends for sure. I agree the plasticy sound when you hit the drums was pretty annoying. Apparently Pearl Jam's album Ten will be released for it in the spring.
  8. In Canada we get three holidays, Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years, so I just say happy holidays. All three of them mean the same thing to me, paid time off! Happy times! (Former catholic)
  9. I don't care much for Christmas shopping, carols, or the whole xmas tree/stockings/lights/decorations etc tradition. I certainly hate stepping foot in shopping malls this time of year. Maybe if I still worked somewhere with hotter chicks I'd enjoy the XMAS work parties more :-)... Atleast in the past that was the case.
  10. Vancouver
  11. I love the beach, I wish some were not so spoiled by the drunk or immature people on them. I also love the mountains, nature and quiet (well, maybe not quiet but only animal sounds). If I had to pick one, I would go with mountains. I would just need more/better cold weather gear.
  12. So does this mean the 9-3 is going away or will the Regal compete with it as well?
  13. Yech, I've seen enough Windstars to last me a lifetime seeing as how I work just off Ford Drive where they used to be built. Now its Flex country. I don't see that vehicle catching on much or the plant lasting 5 more years.
  14. Getting the munchies then realizing you've got no junk food to satisfy them. I can't wait till the little variety store in the condo across the street from me opens.
  15. Sell it.. GM doesn't have the resources to make or keep it competitive.
  16. I guess that will about do it :-(
  17. Seeing as how I don't buy new cars and avoid stealership service wherever possible, I don't really support any auto manufacturer. I pay quite a bit more than the average new car costs in taxes every year supporting my country though so if I were to buy a new car, patriotism won't be a factor.
  18. Nothing a few more Pontiac grilled Chevrolets with red interior lighting won't fix.
  19. Overboosted, numb steering Understeer Cars that spew black exhaust nearly 100% of the time. Driver seats with poor to non-existant side bolstering Tiny parking spots Drivers who merge onto a busy highway well below the speed liimt because they are clueless or want to accelerate slowly to save gas Movies where a person or a small group of people save the world from destruction Reality TV shows. any show that has viewers call in to vote on a winner. Any show that attempts to make you think they've killed off a character, only for them to come back alive next episode or season due to some stupid illogical reason. People who call strangers or people they hardly know "buddy" Taco Bell Hangovers
  20. Unfortunately my dad's 2002 Aurora ended up being a piece of $h! too, he unloaded it as soon as the warranty was up and he won't be buying GM again as that made of the last 3 he bought poor ownership experiences.
  21. There has got to be a RWD alternative to this that drives like a $30K+ car should.. G35 Sedan for example.
  22. I cannot get over the styling of the new TL, its just too oddball, even in the flesh. Their new interiors are a little too button crazy as well. I like techie toys but they leave me cold.
  23. Not a fan. The current one would be my pick in its class because of its design and the way it drives. This one probably still drives well but its styling is too busy.
  24. I already mentioned Vanessa Marcil and Sarah Shahi in the actors I'd like to cast in a nude scene and they qualitfy for this thread too, but I guess to mix it up a bit I'll add a MILF in Mary Loiuse Parker from Weeds who has gotten better with age IMO.
  25. True, it feels like things could get a lot worse in the next 3 months as more companies will have to downsize or shut down altogether due to lack of business and high fixed costs.
