  1. With some checks it should be just fine. I use the 2 old ones for daily driver duty a lot in the summer and it isnt a problem.
  2. I washed the Impala but need to use detailer on it. Need to use the portable carpet cleaner on the area where the salt is. The other 2 are very clean yet since they are not subjected to the drap the Impala is.
  3. Like I said before, my Mom has a 2007 Aveo and it has been good. Hers has about 13,000 miles and not once have we had to bring it back. It gets window sticker as far as mileage goes.
  4. I had the chance to work with a 1984 Buick Park Avenue. It had 260,000 miles but it was pretty well cared for. Dad and I ended up selling it though. Almost lucky we did since he died not long after that.
  5. Mom decided to get one of those Ronco rotisseries. I thought it was a silly idea at first but I tried a few different things and they turned out wonderfully. The Chicken drumsticks with Lawrys seasoning salt were to die for. Better yet the Lawrys seasoning salt with cracked pepper.
  6. That was good. Chrysler buying out GM. It would likely be the other way around since GM has better product. Thats good though. Keep it up.
  7. The only thing about these is that with so few miles you know they sat for some time. What is going to happen when you start driving them everyday? My 2 are SUMMER daily drivers. Thats how I would treat either one of these too. Hopefully the right person gets a hold of them. That is a huge price though for the both of them. Makes me wonder what mine are really worth?
  8. Jee, I have the Pontiac and Chevrolet versions might as well get the Buick version too while I am at this. The Cadillac is cool except for the one thing. The overdone 4100 V8. If it had a normal engine it would be the cool of the cool. I do like the body style though and 2-doors of those are rare.
  9. I havent really felt that way about any of my vehicles. They were all good tio me even the first 1981 Caprice with the 229 V6.
  10. My Bonneville has a newer cat. LOrigional plugged up when my grandmother still had it. Mine too though always feels like it is a little suffocated. The 305 in the Caprice doesnt fell quite like this even though that is no powerhouse either.
  11. Cars 1981 Bonneville 10W30 in whatever brand the dealer puts in. I think it is Quaker State 1985 Caprice 10W30 Quaker State at the dealer 2008 Impala 5W30 Quaker State at the dealer. Just for fun. 1986 John Deere 165 lawn tractor. 30W. 2007 Craftsman LT1000 lawn tractor. Made the mistake of putting 5W30 in it. People are telling me I should have put 30W in it. Maybe I will rectify this before mowing season starts.
  12. The Cutlass runs though not as the factory intended. The rest dont. What does that tell everybody?
  13. Where I work they left 44 of my Co-workers go. We will have to see if more have to go or not in the coming months. I went through this in 2001-2003. I had hoped I wouldnt again but here we are.
  14. I know, I have a hernia that I should have taken care of too but I am chicken. Plus I cant be laid up right now.
  15. Works for my 2 old ones though those dont have the mileage yours does. Had a Co-worker tell me that a toyota had 400,000 on it. I asked him if it had a body left.
  16. I dont have much of a problem with the 1.6 gallon ones in my house. And we have 3 of them. Even if you flush it twice its still 3.2 gallons versus one flush of a 5 gallon one. I thinki the really old ones might have used 7 if I'm not mistaken.
  17. Thout shalt not stick your finger in a solder pot. Thout shalt serve no boards before their time
  18. I hear different things about Fords. At least it did get you home. It didnt leave you stranded. Sixty-eight is right too about emmissions era 4 barrel carburetors. Sounds like it was quite a jobg to rebuild mine in the Bonneville. Then it still took 2 places to get it so it worked right.
  19. I am so glad I own with my Mom. And a brand new house so I shouldnt have to worry too much about repairs for maybe 20 years or so. Rent iasnt cheap here either so I am just as glad I own. Plus nobody playingt their TV really loud in the next apartment or partying and waking you up. And you are building equity.
  20. Hey cool I stopped the debate.
  21. There are a few of them that date back to the 1800's. Saturday nights are VERY active with all of the bars and clubs in full swing. The police are ever present so things dont tend to get too out of hand.
  22. Appleton has changed a lot in the last 30 years. Before the Fox River Mall all the big department stores were downtown. Now it is a lot of other things. More bars than anything else.
