I understand SVT did some work on the GT500, but other than that, are the Taurus SHO and Fusion Sport considered SVT products? Anyways, maybe we'll get an Avenger SRT, that'll.....do something.

I'd rock that Galaxie. There is a Galaxie sedan up the street from my sister's house that has been completely neglected. The windshield and passenger front window are broken, but other than some surface rust the body looks straight. The interior is likely shot as a result of not being protected. Bastards.

The only reason it was acclaimed (or so you say) at first was that the media was already well into their anti-GM agenda, and they knew the car was garbage, so they figured they'd tell people it was great so they would go drive it then see it was complete crap. Or some line or garbage like that. The car was $h!, sold at 1/3 of GM's projections and GM STILL hasn't learned a lesson, they're just counting on brand loyalists buying their blatant rebadges.

If GM had become Saturn, we'd be in a great situation right now, instead Saturn was forced to become GM and everybody lost.

Last time I recommended a GM, they bought an Acura instead. And the Acura has treated them very, very well. I dont try to force my acquaintances into a purchase because, frankly, thats a dick move. If they ask my opinion, I'll give it, and if they ask about my experiences with new Toyotas, they'll get it. I've had no problems with the Prius or any of the Tundras I've driven at work.

Yep, that probably would've been a much better way for GM to do it. They still could have done polymer to give Chevy something unique.

I disagree, the firt S-cars were as good as, or better than, any other compact. When the S-cars went on sale, the other options in the class were the 4th gen Civic and 6th gen Corolla from Japan and the 2nd gen Cavalier,1st gen Escort and Dodge Shadow from the domestics. None of those cars were appreciably better, although the Civic, Corolla and Escort were redesigned a year after the S-cars hit lots, the Civic is the only one that it can be argued was a substantially better car. GM could've had a good thing with Saturn, but they screwed it up.
