I'm happy that they've actually done something with the Olds site, but I wish there was a lot more content. They should show more specs and model lineups by year, with more images and video or something. And all the ads are too small to actually read.

Here's a pic of Cadillac Place, GM's HQ from 1923 until 1996, designed by Albert Kahn.

Political parties and affiliations aside, there are some serious precedents being set in this country that more Americans need to be aware are happening. Not many know of the Military Commissions Act or the Supreme Court ruling in Connecticut (dealing with private property ownership), but these two actions conflict with key rights bestowed to us under the Constitution. I'm leery of the direction our country is heading.

I joined here sometime in the summer of 2003, so I remember the August '03 layout. But man, I've never seen the earlier iterations from '01 and '02...crazy. I still can't believe it's been three years for me...I've never stayed at a message board that long. It kinda makes me wonder if I'll still be posting here 10 years from now...or even 20. C&G will probably have holographic coverage of the 2016 NAIAS by then.

That's pretty sweet. Now they just need to bring back the 'Cuda.

I think that Lucerne may be a little too gangsta for grandpa. I'd like it more if it wasn't lowered so much, but it looks alright.

Who does that? I've seen better paint jobs done with a can of spray paint.

GMC needs to ditch that front end...I don't like the headlights or the grille on the new Yukons. When I think of GMCs, I think of big and mean-looking rigs (like GMC armored trucks, etc)...this front clip is just too feminine.

Yuck...this one kinda got hit by the ugly stick.

That's freakin' sweet!

I'm pretty big into both New Wave of British Heavy Metal and the Sunset Strip stuff. What always amazes me is that Def Leppard was originally a NWOBHM band, even though most everything after High N' Dry is pretty much pop metal. I have all Priest from British Steel though Painkiller, with the exception of Turbo...it's hard to find and I've heard it's not the greatest by them. I'd like to get some of their 70s albums, but I can never find them anywhere. Only Iron Maiden one I got is Somewhere in Time, great album. I love the artwork on the cover. The only stuff from the Sunset Strip bands that I don't like are the third-rate ones like Trixter and Nelson that came about at the very end of the movement. There are a lot of people who only like certain hair metal styles (heavy like Crue, glammy like Poison, poppy like Winger) but I personally like them all. I've also never understood the whole Metallica vs. Megadeth thing...they're both great bands. There's no reason you can't like both. Same with Van Halen vs. Van Hagar.

It looks like a slightly bigger version of the Yaris. If this is the design that they are pushing back the Corolla until 2008 for, I'm unimpressed. It's certainly not ground-breaking and compared to the new Civic, it looks too "cute" like the current Corolla.

That looks sweet....too bad this isn't an options package for the regular model. Give it a Duratec 35 and AWD and you've got your SVT right there.

Spraying G-Unit on the side instantly gets you a rep in Chi-town's South Side, yo.

Well, look on the bright side...the air bag might deflect some of that shattering glass raining down on you.

I have a Dell Latitude D800, and it has had a number of problems including: DVD-R drive began making a noise about fourth months after I got it...a loud mechanical whirring sound whenever you inserted a disc or closed the compartment. They had to replace the entire thing. Rubber feet on the bottom come off easily...I've had to have them replaced three times now Motherboard went out last summer; had it replaced Screen on the right side for a width of about 60 pixels or so makes this weird flickering that comes and goes; it usually happens right when you turn on the computer and then goes away after about a minute or two My "Y" key fell off The volume and mute buttons have stopped working a couple times for me; had to have it taken in And of course, the battery recall and the fact that it goes dead now after about 30 minutes ------------------------------------------------ Luckily, my computer is a lease through the university, so any problems I have are covered under warranty for as long as I'm here. I'm planning on taking it in soon to get the battery replaced, get the Y key put back on, and get the issue with the screen flickering fixed. One thing I will say is that I have had good experience with Dell Customer Service. When the motherboard died on me, I called them up and they sent a representative to my house the next day and replaced it within a couple hours. So in my area at least, they have good service.

Appears to be pretty nice looking...the Landcruiser is one of those vehicles that Toyota seems to have kept true to its roots. www.toyota.com. Celica options: CE, S, LE. Specifications: 1.8L DOHC I4, 128 hp. No XRS. You sell Toyotas you say...didn't you know that the XRS is out of production? The Supra coming back is all one big rumor. I follow the posts over at a Toyota board and people in the know there say that's it's just a rumor right now...there is no actual proof it is coming back. Key word in that is "looks" (referring to Fusion's interior) and looks are subjective. Everyone I have talked to who has sat in it, and pretty much all articles I have read have stated that interior materials are of high quality and it's a solid car with no rattles. There was a long term test recently that said it has held up extremely well. Key phrase is "have owned"...you sound like you haven't been in a new American car in years by the way you talk about them. I suggest test driving a new model like a Fusion, Aura, etc before you judge all American automobiles based on your past experiences. Edit: I did some more checking...the Corolla's engine never made 185 hp...170 hp was what the 2005 model got, and after the SAE standards were revised in '06, it dropped to 164 hp. And checking out the torque, it only made a measly 127 ft lbs...that's pretty sad. No wonder it had to rev to 8000 rpms to get any power out of it.

I was meaning more about the shape of the dash. When I saw it, the fox-body Mustang first came to mind. It's not too similar, but they both have the little square housing above the speedo, the "shelf" on the passenger side, and 80s Mustangs actually did have HVAC rotating knobs. Either way, the Compass has a god awful ugly looking dashboard.

The Toyota brand lineup is probably one of the most banal lineups are the marketplace. Hell, even Hyundai has a sporty car. The Corolla makes a neck-snapping 128 hp...and that's the only engine option. The Camry manages 268, but how many V6 Camrys are actually sold? No more Supra, no more Celica, no more MR2. Even the Toyota fans are complaining at the lack of excitement in the lineup. Is it any wonder that the average age of the Camry buyer is now 56 years old (Avalon = 61), while both Fusion and Accord owners are ten years younger? I guess Toyota is trying to be the new Buick?
