I am kind of a newby here

Yo, Sobe, where in Miami Beach do you live? But you're not originally from there...almost no one is.

I've got cousins in both Dade and Broward Counties. Five years ago, housing was a screaming bargain down there. Not any more. <_<

Just ignore ocnblu...he's always ready to pounce, it seems. LOL.

Four blocks north of the Convention Center on Prairie.

I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela

Its crazy expensive now, so much that property taxes and insurance (Hurricaine alley, you know) are driving people away, not only out of the city, but out of the state.

Sadly dimples don't help how I look.

Hey now... do not get down on yourself... you're not a bad-looking guy. And girls must go crazy over your lips.

O.C.'s mom looks like a sassy gal, I bet she's fun.

SVT, don't pay attention to Bob, he's had his frank-n-beans freeze dried for posterity. :AH-HA_wink:

I posted a series of pics of myself way back on page 6 or something of this thread, but they're gone, I guess the host has a time limit on ugly pics.

Ich spreche Deutsches, jeder, ja? :smilewide:

Oh, no, we've gone down the language route. I like German for how guttural it can be. I only know a few things.

First thing I learned:

"eine gros schwarze frau" (my friend said that was how you describe this lady walking down the street at the time)

Second thing I learned:

"der Italiener zind lustig und verruckt" (I totally agree, you should see my parents)

Also, for Sobe:

(Sin rason, solamente porque "it sounded good").

This was the most recent pic of myself I could find. I took it back in September in band class during Spirit Week on Class Color Day. I'm the one decked out in yellow...the dude in the purple's my (rather attractive) friend.

(I take bad pictures, btw...I don't think I look this terrible all the time, or at least I like to think I don't.)

Speaking of those trucks, I've been trying to find a pic of one like my dad had, but I haven't had any luck. His was a 1977 Scottsdale short bed 4x4 with a push bar and horizontally barred grill up front, dark silver with light blue stripes paint and straight dual exhausts out back.

Next up! Windex and a paper towel.

edit: oh and BV.... you're going to be very popular once you get out of Brookville.

I agree.....BV....you are very handsome.....and you seem to have a great personality.

In fact, the quicker you get out of town and into the "Big City" I think you'll be VERY happy!

Before you get corrupted by Sin City and become jaded, think about what you have where you are BV! Once you leave, you can never go back and regain what you have lost by leaving. Just a thought!

Peace

Michael Jackson's favorite town, Dubois.

Mine, too, thus far. :P

Well, I'm almost required to leave. There are no career opportunities here. The people here aren't exactly those I'd prefer to be around. That and, well, there are no guys here. I like the country side, but I think I'd like one in a more open minded area near a big city.

no OCN. Michael Jackson's favorite town, Dubois.

Can I tell you how long it took for me to get that :P

I was like, "Why would MJ's favorite town be Dubois, Indiana? It's not THAT special..."

Then it dawned on me DO BOYS. LOL.

Well, I was Speed Racer for Halloween, and I happened to find this on my computer. Chyea, 17 and I still trick or treat. :P

and BV would love the fabulous Church and Wellesley village that's a 5 minute walk from here.

LOL. I think the area you speak of is "sensory overload." Too funny, TYD.

I think I told you I stayed at the Days Inn (Carlton and Yonge) next to the Maple Leaf Gardens when I was there. It was convenient with the subway entrance smack in front of the hotel.

One day, I went around the corner to the CAA office (AAA for us) on Yonge to get some maps. This obviously (bitchy, I might add) male homosexual was at the counter. When I asked him for maps to get to some Toronto suburbs, he got all pissy as if I was a loser that had no life. It's amazing how some in-town types have a disdain for the suburbs. Maybe THEY need to get a life.

I wish Viper all the happiness and success in the world, where ever he is. But he needs money to travel to those bigger towns, to see how they feel.

I wouldn't trade growing up on my grandparents' farm for anything, it was idyllic, now that I think back. Visiting the big city has always been a fun daytrip for me, Baltimore, DC, even Annapolis seemed big to me, but I felt as though living in a city would swallow my identity. Lancaster has a sprawling suburban area. Traffic here is nervewracking, compared to little Easton, MD, the last place I lived down there. I just like living in a smaller town in relatively close proximity to cities for when I want to disappear among the asphalt and concrete for a day. Returning home to green hills and quiet does my heart good. Not saying Viper should feel the same as I do, just offering a perspective.

Yes, the Millenia would be clean all the time in Dubois, especially if there's a high school football team staging a car wash to raise money for new uniforms. There's a thought for ya, Vipes.

That's why I like the little town I live in, Hockessin, Delaware. 15 minutes to Wilmington, 40 minutes to Philadelphia, 60 minutes to Baltimore, 2 hours to both Washington DC and New York and the Delaware and Maryland beaches on the Atlantic ocean. Far enough away but close enough to stay, if I wanted to.

I would kind of like to trade BV houses for a week (that is, if he didn't live with his family).

I'd love to be able to canoe and mountain bike without having to commute there first, and BV would love the fabulous Church and Wellesley village that's a 5 minute walk from here.

You can just take refuge in my room. As long as you don't mind my dogs hogging most of the bed at night, the gay porn I might have on my computer, and the overall smallness of my room... You might be alright. :P

To bad, looks like a nice place to me. Peaceful even!

I don't hate it, per se, but for what I want in life, it just doesn't cut it. It's definitely peaceful, though. Really peaceful... unless it's hunting season. As I've said, I love the country, but growing up with only one kid to hang out with other than my brother, being isolated from everything and everyone, and having to travel long distances to buy anything decent has just been a pain. Not to mention that the high number of homophobic conservatives out here really puts a damper on things. Living directly in Brookville might have been easier, but the nearest city would still be a good 2 hours away (Pittsburgh). Then there are the winters, which I despise. Personally, I think I'd like to live right outside Pittsburgh.

RBB, you realize that's a person GMan is hugging, with a big black square over their face, right?

GMan is still cute... I remember that other pic, with another friend with a big black square over his face.
