OK, bob...

Name the location.

OK, Citicorp Center is in the background. Very few streets in Manhattan are truncated like that.

If you are looking from the north, that's the MOMA. (because you are not in a normal street grid)

If you are looking from the south, that's Grand Central Station but it probably isn't because I don't see the Pan Am building.

It looks surreal or touched up, BTW.

Finally some new ones for me. This was taken at a Christmas party a week or so back. My hair is pretty long and I just got it cut too short for my liking. :banghead::hissyfit:

My real Spice Girls pose. I don't know if I ever posted this one or not...

Why laugh? You're a good looking guy Sci.. and I like the long hair.

 Thanks, man. I didn't mean laugh as in you'd rather look at a dog's ass. I meant laugh at my posing. I like the long hair, too, especially after my hair cut.

Some of you may remember this rather odd wall in my condo from when I posted pictures of the inside.

Well - I leaned on it today and it cracked. So, it was hammer time. (No parachute pants required)

Man, what a freakin' mess. The worst part is, I just finished cleaning all the floors in this place. Oh well, it will be more open now and probably seem bigger. Next things I have to do (tomorrow) are to clean up the pile of concrete, tear down the mesh and metal supports and figure out how to move that thermostat.

In this photo, she looks like a Hispanic Diana Krall. I found out Diana Krall (a Vancouver BC native, and BC women are typically so homely...just like most of the women in Seattle and Portland) is married to this fairly ugly movie star or musician so, turbo, maybe you can "unseat" him, depending on what he "brings to the table." Incidentally, Diana Krall does have an 'effin great voice...it's kind of deep and silky at the same time.

Wondering if "caliente Mexican" meant she was "hot" or came from someplace with the word caliente in it...like Aguascalientes.

Props to turbo for throwing in something for the hets. Now, on to the OC talk.

How about an example for those of us that don't watch soap operas?

:P

I don't think the The O.C. is a soap.....especially not in the Days Of Our Lives sense anyway...

Anytime someone mentions The O.C. in a conversation with me, I just say, "I'm old enough to remember Beverly Hills 90210 so I dont bother watching the O.C." because it really really really pisses people off.

I think the two shows are quite different. There's quite a bit of action with the elders as well as the youngstas. It's ballenced about 45/55 in that respect. In 90210, it was totally aboutthe 8 teen/twentysomethings, and the two Walsh parents were acessories.

It isn't a soap. It's an ironic comedy with dramatic elements.

That's the appeal to me....plus I love shows about SoCal. 90210 didn't have the former at all. Edited by LosAngeles

Having to look at toyotas and nissan everyday (and mazdas once a month or two) will do that to a patriot.

Seriously, as Ringo Starr once said "It's just me face". I was smiling for the most part there....

I wouldn't be too down about that, some pics I posted on here I was told I look like a psycho and then other pics had me getting cat calls from gay men

Ahh Yellowstone...one of the best places ever.

Did you go to my mountain?

Mt. Doane

(eastern Yellowstone, due east of Yellowstone Lake)Named in 1871 by the United States Geological Survey. Named for Lieutenant Gustavus C. Doane, Second Calvary, U.S. Army, commander of the military escort to the Washburn Expedition of 1870. Originally, along with Mt. Langford, the name Mt. Doane applied to a mountain further to the south of where it is now. Hayden moved the name the following year.(Haines also used as a source.) (a link to a short biography of Doane will be made available as ready).

I have a bunch of old ones that are on my myspace from a couple months back that I never posted...I don't think I will either. I was drunk in a lot of them and I don't look too good (neither does my hair...I guess that's what I get from growing it out -_-)...

I like this one though :P

OK, If we're going into place names, I got a few for you.

Madill, Oklahoma. Madill's my last name.

Beamsville, Ontario Beam is my mother's maiden name, the town is named after some of my ancestors.

Both sides of my family have done tons of genealogy work, which is how I know I'm Polish, Ukranian, Irish, French, Swiss, Scottish, German and Native. Those are roughly in order, I'm mostly Polish and Ukranian and very little Native.

All this genealogy has also found some interesting things.

Beam comes from "Boheme", another way of saying Gypsy, which is part of the reason for all the countries.

Also, my great (x5) grandfather Jacob Beam founded the Beam breweries, and was the great grandfather of Jim Beam. Yeah, that Jim Beam.
