One I have to disagree with. I do not currently, and never will, own a pair of New Balance running shoes.

That's pretty funny...I saw this on CNN a few weeks ago. Lots of those I specifically do like-- New Balance (love their shoes, worn them for over 20 years), Apple products, hummus, living by water, coffee, Barack Obama, Netflix, traveling, #33, sushi, asian fusion food, The Onion, The Wire, dogs (terriers under 25 lbs), The Onion, San Francisco... not so sure about the Prius, though.

According to that site, I'm either the wrong kind of white person or no longer a white person, despite being the whitest guy I know.

You want to know how white I am? I have both Eminem AND Enya on my MP3 playlist.

That's right, I went there...

Dude...I'm pretty darn white, but I also have Eminem AND Enya on my iPod. And Johnny Cash and NWA. And U2 and M83. Moby and Nine Inch Nails. Enigma and Miles Davis. Tori Amos and Duffy. Led Zeppelin and Massive Attack. etc

This is hysterically funny, though the bottom of the list (# 115) would be at the top of the list for me. There are too many to digest, so I'll have to think about this. A lot of the things are granolafied, so it makes sense they attract white folks since, besides Tracy Chapman, there aren't many black granolas.

if you are on your feet all day, one pair of new balance will make you forget every other shoe. just make sure you get a 600 or above. the higher the number the better the support.

when im off the clock i got a pair of wolverine's i can spend all day in.

I can see the list being applied to other ethnic groups as well...

+1 on the New Balances. I love my 768s (made in the US) with superfeet insoles... whenever I wear my Vans or anything else it feels like I'm walking around in leg shackles.

It's a shame they look so dorky. The 420s and 574s aren't too bad.

Black women are both awesome and hilarious. No doubt.

Some damn funny black guys at my Catholic high school.

True story - I'm taking drafting during my junior or senior year. Two black guys, both on the football team, are sitting behind me. They were always having trouble with their manual drafting and lettering and I was breezing through it (well, gee, what field did I go to grad school for?). The teacher moves out of range and they mutter to me:

"Say, Bob, come ova' heah' and do some letterin' fo' me..."

So I go over to their table and start helping them do better lettering. The teacher comes back and "chases" me back to my seat. He was a Cuban priest! I swear...only in SoCal...or Miami.
