  1. I have to say that a $20K Trailblazer is a good idea. Here is what would improve that: a $14K Trax to go along with the new Trailblazer. Gotta get more Chevy buyers to ditch the used car market for NEW affordable options.
  2. Interior looks like an upgraded Mercedes. The grille reminds me of a baleen whale though.
  3. On the CUV front, all Genesis has to do is take the Palisade and gussy it up. Problem solved. As for the grille, Nothing is as bad as the Lexus Predator mouth or as silly as the new BMW kidney grille. The new G90 grille looks almost dignified by comparison.
  4. A few might sell here, but I expect this car to take over Europe fairly quickly.
  5. Better question: given all this Active Safety stuff in the Encore GX, when is that going to the rest of the Buick CUV line? The Envision and especially the Enclave could use it. As for the three cylinder engines, it is sad but count on it in the smaller Chevy CUVs within a year or so.
  6. Good. If VW were really smart, they would stop building cars and CUVs in Germany and build them all here instead.
  7. That is really sad. What if the whole CUV/SUV trend gets crushed? Where will the sedans from GM come in? As we all know, no trend lasts forever.
  8. Has FCA not learned that nobody in the USA wants a FIAT 500 (regardless of trim level)?!
  9. GM should consider putting AWD on all of its (non-Cadillac) sedans as a $1000 option. They already do that on the CUVs (although not as inexpensively).
  10. I wonder why Toyota is adding AWD as an option on their two most successful sedans. Where is the demand for another AWD sedan?
  11. Yes it is cool. I though Buick got there first. I guess Buick does something different with their Quiet Tuning.
  12. Exactly. LJS is the worst. There are so many better alternatives for fried fish than that restaurant.
  13. If Drew is right, GM and Ford should but they won't.
  14. Maybe GM and Ford can do the same thing and cut sedan prices across the board. CUVs are the hot things now.
  15. So we all hope. I am sure that Lordstown needs those jobs in the area.
  16. The mid gate that the Avalanche (and the Escalade EXT) had was a really good idea. I also thought that QuadraSteer on the GMC Sierra was a great idea too about ten years ago. Too bad both ideas died due to lack of interest and sales.
  17. The public is disinterested because 87 regular is about $2.50/gallon. Also most pure EVs are too expensive for normal people to ignore the used car market given how expensive a lot of NEW ICE cars are these days.
  18. Call me when Tesla outsells Toyota, Honda and/or Hyundai/KIA. Then Tesla will be an American icon.
  19. If GM were really smart, it would sell EVs on the cheap to reclaim market share and build their way to dominance again. Lordstown is currently unnecessary so I am all for the sale.
  20. If Chrysler were to die, what happens to the Pacifica? 300/Charger twins could easily survive, same with Jeep and RAM.
  21. If only they raised a billion dollars first . . . . . .
  22. Once the merger is complete, which brands get whacked first? Place your bets now. . . . . .
  23. I hear you. EVs will have to get a lot cheaper in order for them to completely displace ICE cars. The first automaker that can build an EV and sell it for $20K or less will dominate the market really quickly. (Ideally $15K).
  24. Cheap oil AND low taxes on gasoline. Most of the world taxes petroleum and its distillates much higher than we do here in the USA. When US gas prices mirror European gas prices, the USA will almost certainly race towards pure EVs.
  25. If Cadillac had an interior like that in an Escalade, Cadillac could raise the base price of an Escalade by at least $30,000 to $50,000 from where it is right now. Too bad Cadillac will NOT do that. Car/CUV interiors still matter.
