  1. Those that think the days of companies settling out to make a fast buck on fraud is over. I hope GM holds to weeding out these idiots. This is not to say that some of the victims of the ignition issue are not valid and deserve fair compensation.
  2. I agree, I am looking at where I want to take my custom Suburban and am seriously considering changing it from the Bi-Fuel Petrol / CNG to Pure EV. I would have the room for 3 large battery packs under the body 1 on each side of the drive line between the front and rear tires and the third battery pack where the gas tank is currently. I figure this would give me about 1200 mile range, which means my road trips from Seattle to LA to visit relatives could be done on a single charge. Course the 8K savings on the current battery pack is pretty cool too. I just hope that by the time I decide what to do for my next project that the price drops even more.
  3. Why do they need something special for EV cars/CUVs? Why not just continue with the CTe# or CT#e ? That is the whole point of posting this, what do people think Cadillac should do when it comes to pure electric auto's?
  4. Since October, the battery industry is changing at a pace unseen by other technologies. In October, this was the best battery pack I could get: 200 mile battery pack 48 - 400Ah LiFePo4 Lithium Prismatic cells with bus bars, bolts and washers will cost $28,032.00 Now less than 3 months later I can get the following: 400 mile battery pack 48V, 800Ah LiFePo4 package for $20,576.00 Pretty amazing, the range is an estimate on using a Warp 9 electric motor.
  5. I have seen now that you can buy all the way up to 72V, 800Ah battery packs. I see the future being very strong with EV auto's. Cleaner, more reliable and less maintenance than traditional auto's.
  6. So my Take on this is as follows: VW, O-Sh$t, we just screwed our selves royally, what can we do to make people forget about this and minimize our massive billion dollar losses as we clean up this mess. EV Auto's now that there is dense Lio battery packs that can do a decent range. Personally, I think this is the right move for Audio. Shelve the TT crap, delay the Q4 and get this out. If they truly deliver 370 miles on a charge, then we will see people convert over and this would be the tipping point where auto companies realize that they can build a variety of EV auto's and dump petrol. We are in interesting times that will change the way we see and move about.
  7. So I wonder what Cadillac will call their EV line when they launch it? Should they have their own designation like what BMW did or more like MB where they just take existing models and have an EV version? Should it be a sub category all on it's own under existing categories? Cars are - CT CUVs are - XT Escalade is Escalade EV cars are - ? EV CUVs are - ?
  8. With more auto companies calling for a global emissions standard, I would expect diesel in Europe to follow the US as well as in China. I think Hybrid / EVs are going to by 2020 be replacing many auto's including diesel.
  9. I agree, I think he was just blowing smoke for now and expect the twin turbo V8 to be near 600HP when it comes out, no less than 550HP.
  10. Wow, interesting review, Love the quality of the hood, Everything I am seeing is truly quality built. Love the demo of the 4WS. Very cool to see them putting this on Cadillac where it belongs. The auto if freak-in beautiful and I truly say this competes with the 5 series and E Class.
  11. So are you saying to have the current SRX refreshed and then sell it as an XT4 or XT3?
  12. Tesla emailed out today a sales pitch about Tesla OwnerShip made EASY. Model S for as little as $698 per months or equivalent of $531 per month after fuel savings. Trade in any lease or loan program auto and Tesla will help you unload the auto and get into a Tesla Certified Pre-Owned Tesla with 4yr-50,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty starting under $50,000 Small Print ends with *Lease - 10,000 miles per year max on 36 month lease Total due at signing $6393. So I wonder just how much Tesla is hurting? So what are your thoughts on this?
  13. Question as Drew has pointed out, the Whisper Diesel is scheduled for 2017, the drop for 2016 was known and expected and not news to those aware of the industry. Bigger question, if the BOLT takes off like I believe it will with a 225 mile battery pack as stated by GM, then is there a need for the Cruze Diesel? Will GM end up shelving it if the BOLT really takes off in sales? Thoughts?
  14. Plus will help with rebuilding the destroyed rep of VW and help Porsche with their MPG issue also.
  15. I was thinking my relatives could be more like this!
  16. Thanks, I have a ton of relatives in that area supposedly but never been there or met them. One day have to drive out and see what other Felts are like in the mid west. Im envisioning this for you: All in the name of fun...of course Mr DFELT! So very true, after all with a last name of FELT, so many jokes, so little time! Felt You!

  18. Journey is good, but today it is more of a
  19. Sweet, glad to hear the 2.0L Turbo is impressive.
  20. Cool Little Truck, Imagine putting in the Duramax Diesel 2.8 L or the 1.6L turbo 4 banger. Make this thing scream. Agree with the story, only worth about $1K, not the $4K they are asking.
  21. And they could put the Coupe on a modified S550 Platform But that would make it just as good or better than SMK's beloved MB product line.
  22. I agree, well the QX doesn't confuse me but I think they could have saved the X for AWD models. Q# cars QX# awd cars and just choose a random letter to signify SUV/SUV and do the same thing. Very True, BMW uses X for their awd auto's. This goes with the idiot who decided to drop AWD on the Escalade and go with 4WD which is also used on Suburbans. Yes as in another thread I learned that 4WD on the escalade allows you to go 2WD, 4WD High, 4WD LO and 4WD Auto which is pretty much the same as AWD. Just wish Cadillac had put some thought into this as it is a superior system to the old AWD system but does more than the 4x4 system on the suburban. Infiniti should have put more thought into their naming of Auto's.
  23. Kid clearly must have had rich parents with the right connection to get an F1 driving gig as he is not that great of a driver even on snow.
  24. What does STL stand for? Being west coast based, I am trying to figure out what city this is on the east coast or mid west.
  25. Coupe does look nice. Wonder if they will build it and when.
