  1. Well boys (and girls) it is spring and it was time for the offical shop-vacing, wheel polishing, car washing, exhaust tip cleaning, undusting SPRING FLING. Saturday morning my Torrent went to my small town GM dealer to get a oil-change for the first time at 1400 miles and had molded-splash guards put on, GM performance parts exhaust tip in chrome (to match my wheels had to do it) and some long awaited factory floor-mats. I might tint the windows but might be leaning against it. Anyways so I cleaned her up Friday night and some more later Saturday and then did the Bonneville, Saturday. Anyone have any advice for removing oxidation (lil like rust spots) from the chrome wheels on my Bonneville, hardly any is on the shiner finish but on the rougher finish that goes back towards the brakes (on a different plane) any products I can use? Or suggestion or am I f*cked because in Iowa we get hit hard with the salt especially this year, with all the snow almost a record year! Its not real bad but can I fix it? Any suggestions are welcome and apperciated. Other than that enjoy the photos and tell me what you think of them and my next goodies on the SUV. Take care and enjoy, this will come in a few posts at least like 40ish... Maybe a few more. I do think the two dark Pontiac's one Cranberry Red Metallic (Bonneville) and the other Purple Haze Metallic (Torrent) with 17'inch chrome wheels look like brothers together with the dual kidney grill and same arrow-head logo. It is a nice happy Poncho family. If anyone in wondering the Impala (what my son drives) was washed and that is it. Interior is still ucky from winter. I might get around to it, errr not.
  2. A Camaro is no red-neck car. It is just a car like any other. A sweet looking car, and did you get a load of the 'Vert on the top of the page.
  3. Hey great looking car.
  4. Actually I like it. Best of luck with you lucky bum!
  5. This all is making sense.
  6. Well I don't think they can build a proper half-ton but there are building a truck that sells almost 200K units a year a chunk out of the domestics market indeed. Read the Yahoo Auto Reviews of them people must like them, maybe they are all ex-Camry owners tho...?
  7. I made a quick visit to Truck Trend and found an ad on the site that showed the latest issue of TT and a photo of a fugly HD dually Turd, but it said aside of it a Heavy Duty Tundra this time for real... Something to that extent, at least I know they have shown one but with cutting production and feeling the burn Detriot is in the truck market are they really doing it? I hope not... But found it interesting? Anyone know anything and have a thought on it?
  8. No four banger period. That is just wrong do a 3.6L that can run on E85 paired to a six speed manual and automatic. Simple then do an LS3 and an LSA.
  9. Is it a 231 V6? If so I lost all intrest.
  10. Good luck with her what a steal for 500. Beat her to $h! buddy.
  11. Once again what a blast reading this is...

  13. This is well intresting... In 1982 I was still single no kids and my son would be -8 just like Super.
  14. Better than the 5-banger in 'em now.
  15. 1989-1993 Fleetwood (Sixty Special) FWD 1988-1991 Bonneville SSE 1977-1981 Bonneville 1984-1988 Monte Carlo SS (Aero Coupe) 1986 Grand Prix Aero Coupe 1984-1987 Buick GN (GNX only saw one) 1994-1996 Impala SS 1999-2000 Escalade 1990-1991 Electra's early 90 Toronado's 1989-1990 Turbo Grand Prix Coupes 1987-1992 Trans Am GTA's
  16. Oh yeah Dodgefan it does I have done it to a $32,695.00 Bonneville SLE and to a $24,095.00 Torrent so yeah it works. I have to admit I was scared $h!less about ruining my paint and scratching it. My Impala I bought at a dealer I like and found the tag non-annoying so I never removed it. Plus that dealer sticks on that is just letters no a full decal. I always liked the look of the Torrent better than the Equinox along with the sportier ride on the FE2 vs. the FE1 in the Equinox. All SS/GXP models get an FE3 tho. I have over 1100 miles on her and am loving it.
  17. CARBIZ dealers make the money on SERVICE. Not Chevrolet Malibu's, Impala's, Trailblazers, now on a Corvette or XLR sure but on an Impala LS that they are selling new for 17K you think they make alot of money. The money comes in when you service it there. All dealers say buy here and service it at your local dealership trust me they prefer you come there so they can make extra money on you. And a 500 dollar profit around my area is pretty good.
  18. Good luck with her is she a 2.4 or 2.7?
  19. I was just going to say that how many 3800 blocks do they have left another million?
  20. One of the black Solstices looked okay as for the Silvy and yellow Solsti yuck. I feel bad for those cars. I actually own every F&F movie.
  21. Your slogans stink buyacarandgetacheck just get the hell outta here. :AH-HA_wink:
  22. What do you have now? A Bonneville GXP or GP GXP? I would get a G8 GT or DTS to lease that is just me. If I got a Lucerne I would wait and get a Super.
