2.9D and a 6spd. would be sweet. Love the rear window too. A good looking sedan makes a better looking coupe and hell even a good looking wagon.
-
I am loving the photos. That is alot of Tacoma's I hope the Turds have the same problem.
-
They are a piece of $h! and that is there good point. I see lots of them now, must be selling well. Oh well let people buy $h! I hope they all explode.
-
Ah it is an LS so I am not as mad as I could be if the killed a 2LT (my favorite the 'Bu I would get with a 4 cylidner no kidding I woundn't do a V6 especially with the 6spd auto coming next year in a 2LT) or LTZ even a 1LT.

Edge... Or Torrent GXP...I wouldn't do a Vue seriously. I just don't like them. My neice has an orange SEL and loves it. I rode in it and liked it alot bigger than my Torrent but not as sporty driving wise. Although if I had to get a Ford aside of the F450 or Mustang it would be this or a Tarurs.

Cadillac is not gonna get stuck with sixes trust me.

FTS-Fleetwood Touring Sedan Note Cadillac sells as well as it does in part due to the value/luxury/performance combo. Just jacking the price and content levels might not work so well. Cadillac is suppose to be a car a working man can aspire to someday. (I could own another new Caddy if they keep pricing similar.) The max Cadillac can charge currently for a non-V Series is about 70K. (Except Escalade) Keeping the DTS/Lucerne FWD makes since it is a niche in the market, why would we want all the sales going to Toyota on the Avalon or ES Series? The Lucerne and DTS are actually very impressive cars, but need a 6spd. auto and some-updating. I think a full re-vamp and update/new platform could make the large FWD lux segment boom again. Just give it CTS-ish styling. Cadillac competes on price disagree with me or not, but traditional Caddy buyers (myself included, I have owned a DeVille loved it!) would have no place to go. Nor Buick Lucerne buyers. If I want RWD I would go with a G8 or new Impala that is coming. I am not going to buy a RWD STS when I can get a V8 standard in a DTS that is just as nice of a car for less. A loaded DTS with out Platinum package goes around 52K or less with rebates that is pretty resonable. A Platinum hits around 57K in a STS you push it well up into the 65K and up bracket. (Getting way too high.) (Sure a DTS is a bit more boring but still some-what fun to drive.) It is alot of car for your money if you want luxury and style and don't need sub 6 second runs to sixty. (7-8 is plenty fast for a luxo-boat.) BTS (FWD), CTS (RWD), DTS (FWD), FTS (RWD) would be my car line-up for them. Two FWD'ers for value and tradition-lists and two RWD's for the people that want a performance luxury car.

Just make sure they have enough to supply them here. Other than that I have no problem with that. Lets get 300,000 Malibus in America first eh? And also get dealers enough Enclaves they are still flying off the lot. I talked to my little Chevy, Buick, Pontiac Dealer and he said everyone he gets in he sells. With-in a week.

Simple... Pontiac Motors: 1.8L I4 DOHC 125-135hp (possible Hybrid on G5) G5, Vibe (so it has a GM motor) 2.0L I4 DOHC DI Turbo 260hp Solstice GXP, maybe G5 GXP 2.4L I4 DI 185-205hp Solstice, Vibe, G6, G5, Torrent (possible Hybrid on G6 and Torrent) 3.2L V6 DI 250-260hp G6, Torrent 3.6L V6 DI 280-300hp G8 Sedan, G8 Wagon, G8 Ute 6.0L V8 AFM E85 360-380hp G8, (GTO) 6.2L V8 AFM E85 430-450hp G8, (GTO) Cars: G5 Sedan/Coupe 1.8/2.4/possible Turbo GXP FWD small efficent car (like sporty Cobalt) **also hybrid** Vibe Wagon 1.8/2.4 (GM Motors Please) small efficent wagon G6 Couple/Vert/Sedan 2.4/3.2/3.6 in GXP with FWD midsize efficent-sporty **also hybrid** Solstice Hardtop/Vert 2.4/2.0 DI on both motors, GXP with Turbo, keep fresh and efficent small sportster Torrent AWD/FWD 2.4/3.2 Hybrid and instead of the baby GMC Theta (makes since for Pontiac to have a CUV than GMC) G8 Sedan/Wagon/Ute 3.6/6.0/6.2 what it is now basically GTO sporty midsize-large performance coupe 6.0/6.2 That is how to fix Pontiac... Very simple. As for Buick... Skylark/Excelle w/Hybrid LaX/Regal w/Hybrid Lucerne Park Ave Enclave w/Hybrid E85 is not the solution but spreading it to run on DOHC engine is a good idea. Every single car I listed would have at least a 5spd automatic if not a 6spd. As for Cadillac... BLS (entry level think TSX) w/Hybrid Sedan, Coupe CTS (mid level think 3 Series) w/Hybrid Coupe, Wagon, Vert, Sedan DTS (large FWD car unique market niche don't get rid of it or the Lucerne on new large FWD platform) V8 engines only but efficent OHV or OHC doesn't matter **needs six speed autos** Sedan only FTS (LS killer) no expense spared 55K and up car BRX (think RDX) w/Hybrid SRX (like now but revamped) w/Hybrid Escalade, EXT, ESV w/Hybrid That would take care of them as for Chevrolet a new Cobalt, a new RWD Impala would be nice since the new 'Bu is doing so well, I said I would wait to make that call and I did. The Impala is not needed. If they want a traditional fullsize in FWD go to the DTS/Lucerne. And keep everything fresh, they need a new small truck and a I4 and a V6 no freaking 5 banger please! Add 6spd. autos to ALL GMT-900's pull out the 4.3L V6 and replace with Atlas I6 please. Then get rid of the 4.8 since the Atlas as almost as much power the 5.3 is better on fuel. Same for trucks goes to GMC. As for Saturn keep stealing Opel/Euro stuff. Saab keep progressing foward. Hummer better fuel economy, 6spd. autos or better H2, H3 and new smaller Wrangler like H4. That would be my GM.

I am 200 miles almost slightly North and mostly East of Chicago. I am in Dubuque Iowa where WI and IL all meet on the Mississippi. I was born here and raised here and lived in Denver for two summers back in the 70's to work, and North of Des Monies in Ames for 4 (going to school at Iowa State go Cyclones!) and came back. My wife was born in Cascade 20 miles SW of Dubuque a town of 2,500 and came to Dubuque for school (by then I was done back living at home with mom and dad) we met on a blind date the rest is history. My oldest son (18) GM car nut too, was born in Dubuque as was my daughter (15) born in Dubuque.

Truck if you can pay for gas... Or how about a late model Monte Carlo? Or GP?
-
Isn't the G8 GT getting a 6spd?

Is it pretty close to the window? That is a Cadillac CTS Coupe Concept shown this year at Detriot. Coming out in 2009 some time I think.

I see there is such a hate for Mr. Bush while I agree with some of his postions many others I don't. Back in 2000 and 2004 no better alternative was out there. Therefore by the lesser of evils he got my vote. I wish we wouldn't all be so quick to throw stones at the man. You folks are right GWB has made some bone headed decisions no-child left behind is just one. I want cheap gas as bad as the next guy, but seriously is that going to happen? Sure it could but, holding my breath for any of these three poor canidates to change that is unlikely. At any rate I know who I won't be voting for and that is Obama. I am more likely to vote for McCain but Mrs. Clinton is sounding better ever day. Then again I am just a good ol' country boy. But I have always been slow to critize and am sure to share credit. It is not all GWB's fault, the congress has a lower approval rating than him, if we all fail it is together. I personally think were not failing but going through a struggle and trust me buying General Motors product at time like this is just what this country needs to help our economy, not to mention workers. :AH-HA_wink: At any rate none of the canidates have it all, they all are missing something some more than others. I try to stay out of politics, come November it will be a tough choice between the two no doubt. Ask me today, I say McCain, but he is liberal republican that in and of itself bothers me. So yes we have to face it we gotta listen to this $h! another few months and watch every single one play the ol' dirty Washington tricks but when it comes down to it... They are all vein people who want power some more than others. I look at who the nominees could have been and shake my head how did we get stuck with this $h!? Guess will know what pile of $h! we'll get stuck with by Christmas, then I can have one lump of coal, two lumps of coal possibly three. Anyways... NO TOYOTA!

They dumped pretty hard on GM.

4.1L HT V8 82-87 *stinker of a motor lots of problems and only 125 break HP in the early years!* 4.5L V8 (in Caddy's) 88-92 (great motor not like the stinker HT 4100 it was based off of) 4.9L V8 (in Caddy's) (300ci) 91-96 (even better motor than the 4.5, loved mine in my old Deville, that car ran like hell of the line) 3.1L ASC Turbo V6 89-90 6.0L LS2 V8 05-08 4.2L Atlas L6 02-08 3.5L L5 04-06 3.5L Twin Cam V6 99-02 (Olds motor that was gem) 4.0L Shortstar V8 95-03 8.1 Vortec 8100 Big Block V8 01-07 (still use in Marine and 4500 and up Medium Duty Trucks) **wish they still had this one but updated it and gave it closer to 400hp** 4.1L V6 *(80's) Buick/Chevrolet/Pontiac/Cadillac maybe? Transverse Diesel V6 in 6000/Cutlass? (late 80's maybe) (4.3L of displacement?) 3.4 Twin Cam in GP/Cutlass/Lumina Euro techincally ahead of its time but had LOTS of problems! 4.9L Pontiac 301 (77-81ish) 4.9L Pontiac Turbo 301 (80-81ish) 215ci. Buick V8 *early 60's?* 3800 Series III (04-08 god maybe 2010 at this rate) 3800 Series III Supercharged (04-07) That is about all I can think off, sad to think out of this list how many amazing motors they got rid of. Those morons!

Steering wheel has got to go other than that I like it. Seriously.
-
It is almost better as a vert than a coupe. I like it!
-
Great review... Now I really want one, maybe even a V6 base model with comfort package and NO moonroof. Or a GT with leather and 19's!
-
I just hope we get it and it smashes Scion to $h!.
-
Is that a photo-shopped photo? Or is that real? If its real I want in poster sized!

I'd be even happier with a Buick GNX with a turbo 3.6L DI V6. Just make it look different enough is all.
