Any Older Dads out there?
As a dad of two one 18 (Senior) gm4life junior *posts once in a while a GM car nut too* and a daughter 15 (Frosh) I can relate my son is actually going to a local private College in town and living at home helping to over-come the high tution cost. So I won't be an empty nester real soon weather I wanna be or not. I have always said deal with it when it comes and you will be fine. God has away of making everything work out at least for me. Thats is prolly why I am blessed with a house paid off, owning 2 and 1/2 cars (not all the Torrent yet!) and am still working... I can't help but think of the song "Cleaning this Gun" by Rodney Atkins. (Love it.)

Is a G8 coupe [or name to be decided] still be on?
Wouldn't count on it yet... Wait a year and see. Best advice I have.

GM to kill the H2 after 2014
Well I will miss it the last true Hummer in my mind. I would love to see them redo it on the GMT-900 with a D-Max 4.5L or 6.6.

Chevy Lets 2010 'Nox out of the bag
Hey I still like the current ones front end better but from the front door and back I like it. I hope its not a direct copy of the Saturn please GM don't do that.

Just built a G8 and . . . . .

2008 Sierra "All Terrain" Package
With a 3.73 prolly pretty high the top end on a Vortec Max (LQ4) has to be pretty high they are a seriously stout motor. Maybe 135ish... But no more it is a truck after all and not a low to the ground 2WD you have an All Terrain hence the name.

Eight-Brand Pileup Dents GM's Turnaround Efforts - WSJ
Having ridden in a 2008 ES I was very under-impressed and then stuck myself in the GM verison the LaX Super with every toy on it and found the LaX drove alot better, costed alot less and looked better inside and out. The interior panels didn't have the fit and finish of the ES no but the LaX for the price is a very good product. The new front end helped alot. With the Enclave beating RX and the new China only PA (need it over here) I have no doubt they can have a ES beater in the next gen LaX or Regal what-ever its called.

Just built a G8 and . . . . .
I actually think hump know its a typo V6 more than a V8... Plus a loaded G8 GT has 19's and the V6 has 18's.

True they are not near as far apart as you might think they would be.

Some late '08 changes for Malibu...4-cyl LTZ package, some wheels
LTZ with 4 cylinder and 6 speed auto wahoo. I would order one of those or an 2LT with 4 cylinder. If I got a G8 I would do a GT. But in a midsize family car I want the best economy in and really don't need a V6 I'd go with the peppy four. As for the G8 251hp is more than enough but if it comes with a thundering V8 and hardly in difference in economy unlike the Malibu why not?

ugh... most pompus Toyota ad EVAR!

My new 2007 Pontiac Torrent... (w/PICS!)
Yeah actually in low light the K100D or Super is better from what I have read, and had first hand experience.

My new 2007 Pontiac Torrent... (w/PICS!)
Frogger how'd you know... Metadate eh? I always check that I have a K100D and now a K10D... Can't have enough. And yes if your looking at a Torrent there a great vehicle 3K rebates on 08's till end of the month, and the interior is very nice despite what they say.

My new 2007 Pontiac Torrent... (w/PICS!)
17.5 has been my average in a highly hilly town and weather below 20 degrees closer to 10 with this crummy cool weather were having. I have seen 22 on the highway, then again it was darn cold that night about 2 above.

New Toyota Crown
It is even worse looking than a Avalon but it is okay I guess if you go for that sorta-thing.

Buick may add a car below the LaCrosse
Actually I liked it. It is a pretty sharp car anyway they can sell more cars in America is fine with me. More cars = more money = better chance of Toyota not passing them up.

Name that car...
Yeah its Bonneville...

HAVE HAD IT UP TO MY @$$
I agree global warming is a crock of $h!. So is this hybrid bull$h!. The only way we can really change is with a total new fuel. I have no clue what that is. But diesel is sounding better every day. Also I think E85 despite what the critics say is a step in the right direction. I think hybrids are just a croc and a clear greenie move adding significant cost to a vehicle with large gains in fuel economy yet run on the same old gas. Now an E85 hybrid I will start thinking... How about 6spd. in a tranny GM? FOR ALL YOUR PRODUCTS. Or at least 5spd's. It makes a difference the more I drive the Torrent the more I realize. Are the 5.3L and 6.0L GMT-900's products getting six speed auto's next year? As rumored for 2008? They better cause Ford is doing it for there new trucks. Better do it. Anyone heard yet. But yes to agree with the first point this green bull$h! has got to end, and the G8 and Camaro are a great start.

Where are Torrent RPO's?
Yeah thats where they are alright, with no glove-box light and put on at an angle. It is little things like that, that piss me off about GM... Those bastards. Still won't stop me from buying a G8 or Malibu next time around.

Where are Torrent RPO's?
On the inside... Hmmm thanks no but I'll check. I haven't even been in there yet. :AH-HA_wink:
