  1. Happy 19th BV! Sorry for the late b-day wish, but I didn't want to let it slip by. Sorry if your day didn't turn out at planned.
  2. I really do believe that $h!ty things do happen in 3s. I really hope that this is the end of troubles for you Ocn. Having people mess with your stuff is a REAL pain. If I were in your place, I would be getting a dog as well. You wouldn't even need anything real nasty, just a dog to scare the jerks off.
  3. Well Veezel, I haven't posted in this thread yet because honestly, I don't have much to say about the subject. I have been following the story though and I can't be happier that something is finally being done about your situation. I grew up in small ND town and had less than 15 kids in my class my whole life. Graduated with 10 others. Bullying was not a problem in our school as there really wasn't seperate groups of people within the school. With only 50 or 60 kids in the whole high school we were all friends with each other and watched out for each other. There was a rare kid who simply didn't want to hang out with everyone else and was happier alone. I really don't have experience in the area. Just hold on though bud and do what you can to get through high school. College is an entirely different story amazingly. There are so many people that everyone can have their own group, with no need to worry about others.
  4. How heavy of a trailer, because when I tow our 4 place loaded down with sleds, I get at least that bad of mileage as well. You have to remember also that the 6.0 L in there before gets piss poor mileage in anything that it is in usually. To me the mileage crap is BS. I'm not trying to attack you or anything, but everyone gripes about the H2 mileage.
  5. It's going to be a tough wait until January. I'm glad they just wrecked an Eldo. I should hve been able to tell that from the preview, but whatever. At least the chick he gave the GN to was good looking.
  6. Anyone else watch this show? I LOVE it, and was about to make this same post the other day. It is a good mix of Law and Order and House. It is about a cop who was exonerated after being wrongly convicted for a murder. The LAPD paid him off and he bought the GN after his Bentley got backed over in one of the first few episodes. I haven't gotten to watch tonights episode, but from the previews it looks like it gets wrecked in tonight's episode unless it was another car that he was in. Too bad, maybe he will buy another if it actually is wrecked.
  7. Why get rid of the H2? They just fixed what has been wrong about it, the interior. It doesn't get as bad of mileage as people think it does. My cousin has one with the 6.0L in it, and gets almost as good of mileage as I do in my Suburban with the 5.3. With the 6.2 in it now, it would be one hell of a machine. I would love to own one some day.
  8. Did you get most of those off LOLCats on facebook? That is my favorite facebook app. by far.
  9. It is almost ridiculous how unprepared they can be. It was just starting to snow when I woke up at like 6:30 on Saturday morning, and nothing I was driving on at about noon had been plowed yet. There was already at least 3 inches on the ground by then. It's ridiculous.
  10. We had our first major snow fall yesterday. We've had a little on the ground all week, but we got about 8 inches on top of that throughout the day yesterday. What a mess. The city is never ready for the first one.
  11. Sorry Blu. I really am. I definately know how you feel, but I don't REALLY love my Suburban as much as you love that Sierra. To me, my Subarban is just a tool, but I know that pickup means much more to you. That is probably why I wasn't too shaken up after my run in. I hope that she gets back to you as good as new.
  12. Anyone as radical as you 68 is bound to make enemies. While I think that you are way off base sometimes, as you do I most likely, C&G wouldn't be C&G without you and all the regulars around here. This place truely is unique. I have tried out a lot of forums and I still keep coming back to C&G. Thanks guys for giving me a place to waste all this time.
  13. I tend to look more at the person than anything else. The car may coming into factor if the tool is driving a riced out POS. I can automatically tell that they aren't anyone I want to meet or give a break to in traffic if you drive a car like that. That could be any make though. More than often a GM brand around here actually. I tend to watch myself in Fargo though. I like to be the small town boy who trusts everyone, but I have watch myself sometimes. In town, people can get help easily enough without me stopping so I generally don't. I try to help someone who looks like they really need it though.
  14. Can't you get a snow plow prep kit on the Silvy?
  15. Deer can be nasty. I usually hear a horrible story like that around here at least once or twice a year unfortunately. Grandma has had her ups and downs. She crashed again on Friday and had a second brain surgery in 2 weeks. She is still kicking though. I was up there this afternoon and was wearing a pair of jeans that are worn out with holes in the knees (i didn't by them that way FYI). Despite being heavily medicated, she still took the time to point out that I need to buy a new pair.
  16. Nothing actually besides a couple of cards. My parents usually get me something, but this year with my Grandma being sick there hasn't been much time for anything besides hanging out up at the hospital. I had a great supper with about 10 of my best friends. I couldn't ask for much more.
  17. Sorry Dave. I have entirely too much experience with hit and runs. Happened 3 times to the Impala. Caught one of the jerks thankfully, and I hope you do too.
  18. Playmakers has been getting re-done and is going to be reopening this week as the Hub. Seven different bars, all with a different theme, plus the House of Rock for all the shows that come. It is sure to be cool. Sober Guy is VERY cool. I had a friend use it the other night. For those of you who care to know, Sober Guy is a service that comes and picks you and your car up from wherever you are and brings both you and your vehicle home. It is great if you have to work the next day or if you just don't want to convince one of your friends to help you get your car the next day. At 17 bucks, it is a steal especially if you are going to cab it home. And to Ocn, Rooters is a bar, no typo.
  19. Uffda, I feel for you man. Something like this happened to me last winter. I was driving in a blizzard basically in my Suburban and the snow was coming down so fast and wet that is was sticking to the windsheild and wipers. I had them on high and they still weren't keeping the windsheild clear. After traveling about 5 miles in about a half hour, the motor overheated and froze and I was still 15 miles from home. That was the $h!tiest couple hours of my life I think. Luckily they started working again by the time I was about 3 miles out of town and I made it. There was about 6 inches of snow sitting on the hood and roof by the time I got home.
  20. I've had a pretty good fake for a couple years now, and found out a long time ago that the bucks crowd is not for me. I go there everyone once in a while, but I would much rather hang out downtown at billiards or rooters.
  21. Thanks for the birthday wishes guys. Finally 21 and able to do all the things I have been doing for quite a while now. I did get an estimate on the Suburban, 3100 something and 3300 something. All it will cost me is my deductable though (which unfortunately is a grand). I haven't turned anything in in over 3 years so i don't think my rates will go up at all.
  22. Happy Birthday Toni! I wish upon you a belly full of turkey.
