Agreed..two different problems. Red light running is a much bigger problem...huge issue here in Phoenix, lots of red light cameras here.

Yeah, it's a pretty fundamental GM brand. HUMMER, Saturn and SAAB can go, no big loss..but a GM without Buick would be like a GM without Cadillac or Oldsmobile..

Agreed... it has a lot going for it, infinitely preferable to Texas from my POV. Besides Colorado, Oregon, and Washington, California is one of the few states I could see myself living in...

I wonder if any of the domestic makers will jump into this market...Ford has a ton of CUVs and SUVs now, maybe an Edge variant with a Mustang-like roofline.. Or some variant of the MKT..

I'm not Catholic or religious, but I've thought a Latin Mass would be an interesting thing to experience, ever since I went to St. Peters and the Vatican..fascinating place. (I've always found touring churches/duomos/cathedrals/abbeys in Europe to be a lot of fun, esp. for the historical and architectural aspects).

It's purely a revenue generator..they try and sell the cameras as 'public safety', but it's all about the revenue... pretty controverial here currently.

Dogs will get into anything, it seems. Last summer after the monsoon storms, parts of the back yard were muddy messes... so the Westies (which are usually clean and white), went out in the yard and came back in the house coated in mud..all over their paws, bellys, faces, etc. Fun, fun...

True, speeds higher than the posted limit are often safe for a good driver in a well-maintained car in good weather on a good road, but still are illegal. Problem is, 90% or more of drivers are of below-average skill--getting a license in the US is trivially easy---and often don't maintain their tires, etc.

A pretty funny sighting this morning...traffic was light since it's a Friday and Good Friday at that.. going down the 10 I was in the middle lane, about 70, when a couple 'Fast and Furious' kiddies blew past me, one in the left lane and one in the right, both going probably well north of 90...one of the cars was LOL lame--an early '90s teal Grand Prix 2dr with a huge F&F style wing on the decklid, white stripes that looked like duct tape, chrome speed holes on the front fenders and chrome louvers on the hood, blingy chrome wheels, and TWO fart can muffler/tailpipes..the other was a first gen Eclipse with the usual F&F style gorp attached.. I go down the road about 5 miles, and see 2 police cars on the shoulder, lights flashing...the GP is pulled over in front of them, and the Eclipse is up off the side of the road on the gravel with a blown front tire... heh heh.

Yeah, and the MKS is out now..seems like a pretty nice car overall, definitely a more modern and up-to-date comfort-oriented luxury sedan than the outdated Lucerne and DTS. But it's going to be 4 years until Cadillac has a competitor???

That's the autobahn, though. There are posted speed limits on US roads.

Odd comparison, considering Citroen isn't sold in the US. The clear NA competition for the next DTS/whatever (DT7? Lame attempt at a name) is the Lincoln MKS and maybe the Acura RL..

Too much Azera and LaCrosse in the greenhouse. Some detailing seems cribbed from Lexus like the door bottom chrome. Nice interior. Front end too gaudy.

I've seen that...but what I usually see is 3-5 lanes of traffic with at most a couple car sized spaces between in front and behind...a big fast moving swarm......which can sloooooow to a halt pretty quickly.
