  1. I drove by the local Cadillac store the morning, sat at the light beside it...had to resist the urge to go in and do some test drives..they had 5 CTSes in different colors on the front street-facing row, with a white XLR and a couple STSes, and a bright red G8 GT on the rotating dias.... drooll..

    My Humps

It's a good one..I like DSOM, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall more, though. And I love the post-Waters Gilmour era music also..I'm more of a Gilmour fan than a Waters fan. Speaking of long songs, one of my favorites is the over 14 minute live version of 'Telegraph Road' by Dire Straits...great lyrics, great guitar...
  3. That is hilarious... the scary thing is....that looks like a chubbier version of myself sitting in my pool...
  4. pointy (as in a cat's claws)

    Audi A7

    Car article
  6. Sweet...quite sharp for a FWD compact. Love the background..
  7. Sad. Zeta was one of GM's few decent platforms...actually, the only GM platforms I care about are Zeta, Sigma, Kappa, the Corvette and the rumoured Alpha. The good stuff..
  8. Diana Ross & The Supremes
  9. LOL.... Gravel's TV ads were profound.
  10. Not big on tattoos or piercing...though when I was 25, I thought seriously about getting my left pierced and getting a little stud or hoop earring. More recently, thought about getting the Mac logo, Java coffee cup logo, or Sun logo tattoed on my bicep....but decided not to, since I hate needles. My sister got the Mercedes 3-pointed star tattooed above her left ankle years ago.
  11. 'Appalachian Springs' by the Verve. Really liking the new album...next up, 'Love is Noise' also from Forth.
  12. I see lots of McCain stickers here in Metro Phoenix.... I'm rolling in my Grand Cherokee and the Benzes with Obama stickers...thinking about putting up an Obama/Biden sign in the front yard to piss off the Republicans on the street.
  13. I don't know, if it were a 4dr ht, maybe. But it's a convertible, and we all know '68s isn't down with ragtops. Interestingly, it does look like the Audi A7 will have a 4dr folding roof coupe/convertible model...looks great from what I've seen so far.
  14. Let's just agree to disagree and move on. Like I said, I could never support Republicans...the party as it stands today is far, far too right wing for me. They offer nothing that appeals to me---I'm a straight, well-educated, well-traveled atheist upper middle class white guy that is pro-choice, pro-technology, pro-science, pro-gun control, anti-war and a car enthusiast... the Democratic party, while by no means perfect, is a better fit for my beliefs and views. Peace, word out.
  15. Better to raise taxes to pay for things meaningful to the citizens. Better than wasting money on pointless wars. I despise the 'conservative' BS.
  16. Whatever, the Democratic party is hell of lot better for the American people as a whole than 8 more years of 'conservative' nonsense. McCain is a tired old man that should be out playing golf. A vote for him is vote for the past.
  17. I could never support the Republican party....too many religious zealots, too many gun kooks, too many racists. I can't support their anti-science, anti-technology, worldview. F*ck them. These are the retards that won't support stem cell research. That try and push 'intelligent design' in the schools. That waste billions on pointless wars. That oppose universal healthcare. F*ck them.
  18. Those sound like the target McCain demographics! All old, all the time..
  19. Dude, I thought you were gay. How could anyone gay support a Republican? They hate gays. The Republican party is the party that embraces racist, intolerant bible thumper trash like Donald Wildmon, James Dobson, Pat Robertson, etc...
  20. Bingo... doesn't matter what political party, she is totally unqualified to be president. This makes McCain's judgment look very poor---the Repubs have many more qualified women--Christine Todd Whitman, for example? Or men--why not Tom Ridge? Mitt Romney?
  21. Agreed...GM has more than enough FWD crossovers now...why does Cadillac need one? The big leagues have RWD-based ones (M-B, BMW, Land Rover, and even Infiniti). Modern, Sigma based RWD/AWD crossovers to replace the SRX and a larger one to replace the Escalade would be great for Cadillac...something competitive with the X3, GLK, and LR2 at the small end, and something competitive with the X6,ML/GL, LR3 and Range Rover at the larger end.
  22. So it's just a movie Decipticar... not anything real..
  23. More bad news, potentially..I guess 2 seat sports cars don't fit with the business model of all FWD generics, all the time... Rumor: GM kills Kappa II
  24. Well, they have to keep Avis supplied w/ cars...that's been Pontiac's growth market in recent years..
  25. Well, we know that's not going to happen..GM has too much baggage in the mainstream brands to spend what it needs to spend on Cadillac to give it a fully competitive lineup....
