  1. Seems like Zetas are definitely heavy enough to be Buicks, then.
  2. Actually, Holden only has a few models that are Pontiac-ish--the performance versions of the Commodore. The LWB Caprice and Statesman are Buickish (i.e Park Avenue in China), and the rest of their line is FWD generics---Chevywoo crap and Opels.
  3. Don't be dissin' Hillary..she's infinitely more qualified than a right winger NRA hockey mom from nowheresville...
  4. Looks very clean...never seen vanity mirrors for the rear seat passengers like that before.
  5. Well, the ACR has a cupholder, so it must street-legal.
  6. She has the huntin', fishin', gun worshipin' credentials that will appeal to the rural folk, I think...but isn't remotely qualified to be VP, IMHO.
  7. Yes, which is hilarious, since the social conservatives in the party's base are always preaching about chastity and saving one's self for marriage. I've never understood the social conservatives--prudish about sex, but obsessed with guns.

    My Humps

Lyrically, definitely one of the worst ever, IMHO... not the most annoying ever...my nominee for most annoying song is 'Jump Around' from House of Pain...
  9. Did your wife call the police so they could arrest the stupid ho?
  10. Apparently so...which is sad.. the big league luxury brands aren't going to give up their V8s....stopping development on the Northstar replacement was a mistake, IMHO..
  11. I don't see the point in spending more on an old platform when they have a perfectly good new platform that they are underutilizing...(Zeta).
  12. The G8 could benefit from some optional two tone interiors, IMHO...at least some color inserts for the door panels and seats.
  13. Very nice..I like the Pacific Slate and the red..
  14. I wondered about that movie..haven't seen any reviews of it..the trailers kinda reminded me of The Fifth Element or Johnny Neumonic..
  15. When I'm home, I love lazy Sunday mornings... brew up some coffee, curl up in a comfy chair, read the New York Times online, with a warm terrier in my lap, listening to some jazz or atmospheric Brian Eno on the surround sound...later, take a swim then make an omlette for brunch. The work week can be so intense, with it's ups and downs, cubicle life, etc... jumping into a new contract 1 week from now, so I'm enjoying a little down time right now. The times I deeply enjoy are those like this holiday weekend, spending time in Ohio w/ my Mom and brother whom I don't see often enough...enjoyed getting my Mustangs out for a fast drive on the incredible backroads of Ohio yesterday and this morning... headed over tomorrow to Dayton to visit w/ my sister then fly back to Phoenix tomorrow night.. I'm going back to Denver for a weekend at the end of Sept, I need to spend some time with my closest friends...a lunch, a quiet dinner, just hanging out at a coffee shop...important moments in a hectic life.
  16. I bet under hard acceleration or braking, any items in there would go flying out, though..needs a little lip around the edge, IMHO.
  17. June '10 is my 40th birthday..that's why I was thinking of getting myself a mid life crisis fun car then... Unfortunately, the only cars GM offers that I could seriously consider buying are the CTS, G8, and upcoming Camaro. I just can't sell out and go FWD.. I kind of like the Sostice and Sky, but the lack of usable trunk space and only having two seats kind of limit their appeal to me...though I may have to test drive the Red Line.
  18. Depressing...just more FWD generics and a couple token RWD models. If they are going to f*ck around and not a have a Camaro convertible for '10, then I'll get a Mustang GT instead come June '10.
  19. Cool...68s got a Roadmaster sedan now? I thought he had a Roadmaster wagon...he changes cars so often...
  20. A production Sixteen would be incredible, and do wonders for Cadillac's image, but with GM in the hole it's in now, there isn't any money for such fantasy, no doubt..they are in a fight for survival now. Which means focusing on quality FWD generics for masses worldwide.
  21. Some friends of mine are 38 (hubby) and 30 (wife), they have a TrailBlazer and a Rendevous..just traded the Rendevous on an Enclave last week. Sadly, they are the only couple I know in my age range that own all domestics.
  22. They have...none of the 4 Lambdas are rebadges...all have different sheetmetal (except roof panels?) and interiors.. Styling wise, my favorites are the Arcadia and Enclave...saw a gorgeous dark red Enclave at the grocery this afternoon...
  23. Meh...looks like a typical Scottsdale blonde....I don't care for blondes..too generic. Brunettes and redheads are more my taste..
  24. The market for full size trucks and SUVs is completely dead right now... I've heard of one year old ones going for 30-40% of original price. And yours is a strange one--no one wants regular cabs. I wonder if the truck and SUV market will recover, or return to how it was 35 years ago--bought by people that really need them---commerical use, farmers, hunters/fishermen, people w/ trailers, boats, etc. instead of ordinarily commuter cars of suburbia as they became over the last 15 years or so.
  25. I was laid off from the startup I'd been at since April at the end of July... part of the nature of startups, very shaky with the finances and prone to sudden layoffs...that's why I've spent so much time hanging out here on the forums the last month...anyway, talked to a lot of recruiters and headhunters--the tech job market in metro Phoenix is weak compared to Denver and other more tech-centric metro areas..the good news is I received a few interviews, and got an offer for a 4 to 8 month contract downtown, city government related. And it pays $25/hr more than my salary at the startup did, so all is good..starting Sept 8th, back to cubicle land.
