    Random

They were taken on the same stretch of road. Or the same stretch of road was photoshopped in.
  2. Bankruptcy-GM has no money, my car and warranty are worthless Government money-GM has no money, but at least my warranty will still be valid
  3. You're acting as if GM wasn't headed towards these decisions before last fall. Of GM hadn't taken government money, Wagoner would have been canned and Pontiac would have been axed. With government money, they might at least keep consumers confident in the company.
  4. Nah, Wagoner's canning was the government's fault according to a few posters who apparently think GM has been doing well the last few years.
  5. In my experience, Edmunds has been closer to reality than NADA which has been closer to reality than KBB.
  6. Blaming this on the government is flat out dumb. GM has been mismanaging its eleventy-billion brands for decades, they were going to have to do something sooner or later.
  7. This news would be full of EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if it were actually news, not something we've all known for quite some time.
  8. Wow, I'll take the '53 Corvette with a side order of Delorean. Porsche peoples, at 5:38, is that a 959? It doesn't look like a standard 911 Turbo to me.

    ego boost

"boost" "new perspective" I was expecting to hear about your new phone book.
  10. Everyone loves the $7,500 tax credit, but the problem is that it doesn't come off the price, so the full amount will have to be financed. $40k isn't cheap, the monthly payments on a $40k car aren't cheap, so the tax credit doesn't bring the price down at all. It will, technically, lower the cost of ownership, but not the purchase price, which could be trouble for GM. The Volt is going to be an amazing car, but it'll be tough to sell it to people cross-shopping other hybrids that cost $10k less.
  11. Never driven one, have you? Mini or golf cart
  12. Price. Nobody is willing to shell out $40,000 for something that looks just like a $15,000 compact.
  13. I dunno, people are pretty dumb, especially people around here.
  14. I bet the correlation would be tough to prove, but it has to exist to a point. When you take people out of the factory and throw them into a McDonald's they're going to eat McDonald's. And McDonald's is neither healthy nor slimming.
  15. I would've said, "My wife died" because that would have likely shut the jerk up.
  16. YAY! Someone finally gets it! Volume doesn't equal profit. If they feel they "need" to unload 100,000 Camaros, they're going to feel they "need" to put a pile of cash on the hood and it'll dilute the car.

  18. I'd hate living in the desert. We're forecasted to be in the mid-70's for the next week or so. I can live with that.
  19. McPizza Pizza crust+tomato sauce+McDonald's cheeseburgers and fries+a ton of cheese Gross
  20. Do you have a rear shot? I want to know if it has ribbed taillights.

    Sheesh

My trash company finally came and dropped off our new bin last week. So much better than regular 'ol garbage cans.
  23. I thought it was a Polo at first because you cant see the badge. You know how you guys always bitch about people buying Toyotas without looking at anything else? Same thing. Just sayin.....
  24. I dont hate it, but I dont think it would go over too well in the U.S.
  25. There are many fine non-GM automobiles out there. You've just got to open your mind up. And I did suggest a GM, the Corvette, maybe a little pricier than anything else, but so much appeal on so many levels.
