  1. Umm, yeah, it looks like the fascia surrounding the centre stack is about to come off. Even if it is a trial surround, they could have taken the time to secure it properly.
  2. Hyundai is incredible! Every new product is more amazing than the one it replaces, and coupled with that warranty, it's no wonder Hyundai is ballooning out so fast. World's Fifth Largest Automaker? Hmm, they may end up at number four...
  3. The Compass was a bad idea from the start. Remember Chrysler's old mantra? "No Jeep platforms shall be shared with anything else, and if it can't tackle the Rubicon, it's not a Jeep"????? Whom shall we blame? The stiff beards of Stuttgart, that's who!
  4. Old news here. But still amusing/irritating.
  5. So, are the American Epsilons ever going to get the black tie radio before the next generation arrives?
  6. It looks good, but I feel that the clock display ought to be red as well.
  7. Me too.
  8. After that fiasco, Daimler sunk a couple billion of its bought-on-the-cheap Chrysler money into Mitsubishi hoping that Mitsubishis would become the platforms for all future Chrysler cars, which didn't happen Uh-huh. I've heard items eerily similar to this over at Allpar.
  9. I hate smug Prius drivers, but I would drive a Prius myself, if only because it's a damn freak show of engineering that wasn't tested enough.
  10. Hmm, I support this. I wouldn't mind a rear-drive vehicle, but I do like my front-drivers, and will probably stick with them for the mid-term, and overall, I prefer the "no compromises" (I know, I know- weight, efficiency, more moving parts, maintenance) of all-wheel drive. Front Drive Maffia Doing things that rear-drivers do, if only with a touch less finesse.
  11. Those new faux alloy wheels sure do look convincing until you give `em a smack.
  12. CNN Online Cash bleeding Jaguar maybe in the sites of Ford Motor's Way Forward restructuring plan. While I was in Hillsdale getting my Plymouth serviced today, on a news channel that was discussing Ford's potential sale of the Jaguar unit. Among listed potential shoppers of the brand were Hyundai, the Chinese, a private investment group, and others. Hyundai?!
  13. In the media? Are you kidding? After the 300, Chrysler seems almost as immune to the media's propaganda as Toyota. Me likey! Hopefully though, Chrysler will have this all straightened out on future trucks and SUV's, and that they produce more ATTRACTIVE mass-produced automobiles. You know, maybe Americans should buy as much DCX stock as possible, and then eventually yank control away from Stuttgart and Deutsche Bank.
  14. Intriguing idea. It could be the "new" cult car. After my friend Lyndsey went to Rome, she has been obsessed over the smarts.
  15. Well, Car & Driver said the driving experience of the Cobalt is much like that if the Mk IV Jetta. What the Pursuit could really use is an all-new front end, and totally different interior (designed more like, oh, say, the G6?) and the high-performance version.
  16. Of course the PT wasn't a fad, I mean, how could a mere fad last 6 model years? Great news for the G6. Technically, when I get a different car (used of course..for now) the G6 will be on the list. I just wish it had a manual shift across the board. The IONs that have received the updating and refreshing are much more pleasing to the eye than the ones that came before. The new black-tie radios sure look good in GM's American brands.
  17. I find the interior and exterior to be attractive. I just think the dash looks a litle too stiff- in both design and materials. And a lack of auto headlamps is not a big deal. If one is too lazy to turn a nob or what not to turn the lights on, would said person be too lazy to pay attention while driving?
  18. It is one of the ugliest things Chrysler has ever produced, aside from, umm, the Charger, the new Sebring, and even technically the Caliber too. Ugh.
  19. Well, Motor Trend says that the SMART's won't be here until early 2008 when the next fortwo debuts.
  20. Well, even though I am not a retro fan, if it's good for Chrysler, then I am happy.
  21. Sorry everyone, it's just that I can't wait until Saturn really mirrors Opel- with turbocharged powerplants, and diesels, and all that good stuff...Xenon lights. I'll wait, because it looks so good. I can't wait for the Astra! And, let's get some bright, hot colours for the Aura.
  22. I wonder how high-strung these sixes are going to become... More power, eventually, more peaky.
  23. Like a mutant combination of RSX, Aston Martin, new Jag XK, and the headlights scream Viper, combined with a hint of Celica. I like the new one better, it's more cohesive, but this is hardly high praise.
  24. If I didn't want to deal with a broker and whatnot (you know, get it on my own) I would buy GM stock. Build it up little by little. The automotive industry is cyclical.
  25. Ahhh! That's great!
