Think of it as their GLA competitor. The X1 is the practical compact CUV, this is the less practical, more stylish compact CUV.

I'm surprised they haven't yet put out a 1 series sedan and 2 series coupe on the same platform.

But with the growth in the compact CUV market, it may do well...esp. if it's cheap enough...

Strong Hyundai vibes from certain angles..rear looks like the Tucson..very derivative. Also similar greenhouse to the GLA.

That's what I like about Mazda..they seem to go their own way, rather than copying Toyota's Gundam-inspired styling.

I like the Vision concept..strongly RWD proportions, neat rear detailing. The Kai concept is a pretty slick compact hatch, like the interior.

I liked the 3000GT (GTO in Japan), esp. the hardtop convertible version. Had a buddy with one years ago, rode in it a few times. Reminded me of a Japanese Trans Am...

The forward curve of the rear door window and the shape of the rear quarter window just doesn't flow...seems awkward to me.

Found this article on faux Pumpkin Spice products, pretty funny.. https://www.buzzfeed.com/jenlewis/pumpkin-spice-up-your-life?utm_term=.tpRMVBrKq#.rm6pbKw2o

Seasonal randomness--I saw Pumpkin Spice flavor dog treats out for fall at the Pet Supply store. I wonder if the auto parts store has Pumpkin Spice wax and motor oil?
-
Maybe they will do a largish square crossover called Montero.

Wow...I can only imagine what all they had to modify to get that engine to fit in the Mustang II..pretty cool. -
I can see using a corporate GM LS V8 in older GM products, but definitely not in non-GM brands...just seems lazy to put an SBC in an old Ford, for example.

Yeah, the name seems like a natural. I was thinking they could do an Electra 225 w/ 225 volts, but isn't 240 the standard..
-
A '59 Electra hot rodded as an EV 'Electron' would be an interesting project..or use a Chevy Volt powertrain.
