Good thread idea!

Affordable vehicle: pre-2000 Chevrolet/GMC K2500; standard cab, long bed, 454

Money is no object vehicle: Brewster-bodied 1915 Crane-Simplex rumble seat roadster

In 1915, the chassis alone cost $5000; having it bodied pushed the final cost to over $8000. This is the only one ever made. It has a 564 cubic inch inline six (that's 94 cubes a hole!). I saw this car in person about six years ago at a Concours d'Elegance, moving under its own power, nonetheless, and it sounded like a goddamn locomotive; this car is unbelievable! I'm a grown man of six feet tall now and I'd be about eye-level with the radiator cap; what a monster!

Hmm, my affordable would be a (Good Lord this is hard, I like so many!)

Dodge Daytona IROC R/T in emerald green with black/grey leather.

No cost gift?

Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe with 6-speed, not that E-Gear.

Affordable: probably a mint-body 94-04 S10 with a 4cyl/5spd where the engine's about ready to croak, with a new crate LS2 sitting in the bed.

Money no object: An Enzo, so I can sell it and buy a C1, C2, C4, C5, and C6 to go with my C3.

affordable: '05 GTO

cost no object: 1969 Corvette L88 (if anyone... didnt see that comming... id be shocked...)

Affordable: GTO, preferrably '05+

no strings: I couldn't make up my mind, though I'd start by looking at a '68 Eldorado.

Affordable: Umm.. I'm broke as it is trying to make my current car payments but lets say I didn't have those... Possibly a Cobalt SS/G5 GT or G6 GT Coupe.

Money no Object: Too many to list but I'll go with my current desire: 1966-1967 Buick Riviera with a Wild Cat or a LS engine dropped in and (twin) turbocharged.

Affordable: How about some Kooks headers, a Borla catback, and a Procharger or Maggie installed on the GTO.

Money no object: A black Z06 or a certificate for a 2010 CTS-V Coupe.

To replace the Suburban - 2007 Suburban K1500 LT1

To replace the HHR - 2007 GMC Acadia SLT AWD

I love my HHR, but it's size is about to not work for our family.

Affordable: LaCrosse CX sedan or Monte Carlo LT coupe

Toward the expensive: Cadillac DTS (and a stocking stuffed full of prepaid gas cards to help me feed it for a handful of years, if I may be so bold)

New is tough for me:

affordable (define 'affordable'!): '06 Silverado 2500HD LT CC/SB Duramax.

not affordable: I really don't know. To 'waste' this wish on a new vehicle would only anger me.

Vintage:

affordable: a chopped '50 Merc coupe

not affordable: one of the original '53 Cadillac LeMans fiberglas roadsters or the '55 Eldorado Brougham concept car
